  1. Do you have the gas plug screwed all the way in to set it to 1 or 2?If not you would get the over gassing too. Also with the locking in,I had a similar problem on one of my S12s,and it was caused by a burr where the locking tab at the front of the bolt carrier goes down in the slot,it was more like mushroomed over the edge and made it too tight.Ended up taking a small file to clean up the edge and its worked fine since.
  2. The factory 5 was fitted to the gun,you may need to tweek the surefire a bit, thats pretty much normal for all the Saigas.
  3. I'm with DB,the sportster is a girlie bike. I've got an HD low rider and it moves it out real good, ain't too heavy either, around 700 lbs. Guys I ride with like the V-Stars too, they're also pretty quick and not too heavy.
  4. 3 years and counting, also with GOA,they seem to be somewhat more proactive at times.
  5. Easiest is to take off the thread protector and slide it right down the barrel and into place, then screw it on. That being said, you should just be able to slide it over the barrel in front of the gas block and slip it down too.
  6. Once I get hold of a 30.06 I'll have the whole family. That one may take a bit though, unless some dumb luck falls on me.
  7. Got mine from Greg at CSS,great to deal with and fast.
  8. I picked one up for my 5.45 and ended up putting it on my 7.62 instead. Nice solid stock, adjustable like mad and was easy to install. So far I'm pretty impressed with it. I've got a tapco on another rifle but this one is nicer all around.
  9. Cool short video and good to see. http://media.causes.com/576542?p_id=92681239
  10. If they need the back locking lug sanded a bit, take it off the bottom. If you take it off the top you raise the back of the mag and risk having the bolt carrier catch the mag. Also as csspecs pointed out,you also lower the feed angle and can catch the tip of the bullet too low into the chamber.
  11. I've seen the steel resetters at Midway, they take up to .45 ACP. I picked one up at a hunting shop for the same price as they had. Only thing is,they sell the little paper targets for themthat get shot off rather quick,I use orange paint on the circles instead, its a lot cheaper.
  12. Take the nuts off the shock bolts but leave them in,they'll work their way out soon enough....
  13. You cant go wrong with the 226. I've been saving up for one too for a while now and close to getting one. Ammo isnt the cheapest but they are very reliable and real nice shooter.
  14. Never seen that warning on them mags.I use the steel cased almost exclusively in my 410,gets some funny looks when people next to you see silver and gold cases flying out of a shotty.
  15. Yes,the front slides over the pins like the original.
  16. Surefire makes magwells now? I haven't heard of them yet but I would bet if they made them for their own mags they would fit right. Or is it a different aftermarket magwell?
  17. Didn't turn up in a search so thought I would share. Was sent this today, looks cool as hell. http://www.metalstorm.com/release/future-weapons-400k.html
  18. Thats a new one on me,I thought I knew most of our gun laws here. I would check either with the DOJ site or even MSP,either one would have more detailed info for you. But,yes, thats a commiefornia thing, maybe the guy was reading news from there or something.
  19. The Birch Run show,is that at the Civic center there or somewhere else? Gonna try to stop in on the way up Friday.

    MAGS

Surefires are good aftermarket mags, they also make a 5 rounder for hunting and I believe a 3 also. Definitely avoid the Promags
  21. Friend of mine got killed a couple years ago too when some old lady pulled out in front of him,he wasn't going but about 40-45 when he hit her. I ride like everyone is out to hit me,and its amazing how many people do drive so blind, even without cell phones.
