6500rpm 670
My first line of defense and probably the best thing I've ever given my wife (poor kids are now second to a dog ). Lab/Shep mix. Hey, I had to dig up one pic when she was a pup........."my dog ate my homework" sometimes it REALLY does happen. I took the picture so my daughter could explain it to her teacher without any calls home. Edited November 15, 2006 by 6500rpm
pistonring8 1
Ugh, this was my last dog. The wife just HAD to have it. After we got divorced, I gave the dog to one of the neighbors. I don't miss it.

BUFF_dragon 3
5lb mini yorkshire terrier - mine is the blonde mini yorkie, thats my old neighbor's male full size beside her.... her name is Honey 125lb mixed breed - My BOY Bruiser... that is a 2500 Diesel Ram that he's laying under to let ya see how big he is.... the funny part is that he thinks he's her size, and she thinks she's his size..... if someone ever breaks into my house, I will know, she alerts so fast its scary.... unfortunatly Bru is back home with the parents, I don't have a big enough place to let him run here in Lexington
getitat 609
Great thread! I'd kill to protect my doggers, just like the rest of my family. Mine are German Wirehaired Pointers (AKA Drahthaars), since I'm Vice-President of the GWPRescue, Inc. national rescue organization. Of course, they're both rescues, as is my third one, Sammy (AKA "Spammy") who does not have a pic on file with this 'puter. This is Dekin, my 11 year old male And Greta, my 8 year old bitch (not to be confused w/ Kathy, my 48 year old bitch ...<LOL>) Best damn alarm system known to man, and pretty good listeners, too. Cats beware! Respectfully posted, Guido2 in Houston Here's my Great Pyrenees. They both look pretty proud and content. They must get along pretty well, otherwise one bird/two dogs could provoke a bit of competition.... Obviously very happy and well-adjusted! gunboy69 50
This is O'malley, he always gave me an old Irish beat cop vibe. Good watch dog. His mom was full pit,but he must have some kind of bird dog in him. Its a wierd mix cause he won't go in the water. This is Queeny..I did'nt name her. Her only skill is chasing tennis balls at full sprint until your arm falls off. I swear to you, I have never worn her out. A tennis ball usually lasts about three throws, and it comes apart, because she chomps it all the way back. Its a good thing thats all she uses those jaws for! Ouch! Oh.. shes an American Bulldog. This is my boy and his dog.

RangerM9 1
I'm probably going to regret this..... meet simon....my wife's dog.....i prefer large more useful dogs.....but what he lack in size and usefulness he makes up for in character.... Simon Jeaux E....not a fan of the airdales personally....one tried to rip my right eye out as a when i was about 4.....i have not yet forgiven the breed.....in case you are wondering, i made the mistake of trying to pet it....that was all.... fortunately they put me back together again.... BUFF_dragon 3
there is nothing wrong with little dogs.... as you said, they have CHARACTER beyond beleif..... my little gal tells the bigger dogs how it is... it cracks me up, she thinks she's a big dog by the way she acts, and she alerts loud and fast when someone gets close to my door..... My dog is a 108 lb boxer and he is the biggest wuss! He runs from little dogs in the park! He barks enough when people pull in the driveway. People are still scared of him even though he is 100% baby. I brought home a pumpkin for the kid on Halloween, my dog was afraid of it. took over an hour for him to calm down. BUFF_dragon 3
LMAO.... exact opposite of my dog... my big dog back home will bark and bark till you get close to him, then he will keep his distance unless someone tells him to do otherwise...... he's not a fan of my dad's parents or my crack dealing uncle...... she won't bite, but she will bark her little ass off until you pick her up and pet her.... but strangers don't know that and think that she is trying to bite them.... if you were to come to my door and hear her barking, you wouldn't want to come in not knowing her..... and if you do, you might end up with either a 45 Hawg in your face, or an S-12 (depends on how much time I've got....... She recently went to that big firehouse in the sky but she can rest now. This was taken on her 16th B-Day Hello, Cobra Beautiful girl, you should be proud, 16 yrs. is a ripe old age for a dogger her size. Obviously she was well cared-for. Pretty awesome place for her (and you!) to grow old at, as well...Bet she was as happy there with you as she'll be at the "big firehouse...." -I can almost hear the Croc Hunter now, as he greets her there..."Crikey, you're a GORGEOUS girl, Smokey!!" Cobra 76 two 2,677
Thanks Guido2, yeah she was one happy dog. I hope ol Steve does take care of her cause she eats like a croc! Never had another dog with a bigger appetite for her size. All I ever had before her were German Shepherds (about a dozen of em) and one Rottie. Shepherds are great dogs. My first one, Baron, was 135lbs and a decendant of the movie dog Rin Tin Tin. My dad got him thru one of his Air Force connections when he came back from Nam. He got to work with some war dogs over there and had to have one when he got home. It's really sad about some of those dogs they used over there. They got left behind when the soldiers left Saigon after risking and losing many lives as well as saving many lives. Pisses me off every time I think about it! Here's my ol girl Duchess, she was awesome!
AKOK 4
It has been said that ....The only fault a dog has is that they dont live long enough.... getitat 609
It has been said that ....The only fault a dog has is that they dont live long enough.... I dont believe God would have given them to us as the only animal that sought man out as a companion if we would not see them again in the after life. Great looking dogs posted here! After most of my fifty years with dogs, I've developed a couple of "motto's" that help me (and hopefully others) cope with that issue: First, the passing of a beloved friend, protector, hunting bud, or however you view your dogger(s) should be mourned, but also, I've developed a sense of pride, as well. One who does the right things and takes the extra steps to safeguard their dogs, and ensure that they live to that ripe old age they are capable of, should feel that they have done right by them, and their long, happy life should make one proud, not just their passing make one sad... Second, when we live with a creature who thinks the world of us and they leave us for the "happy hunting ground", some people feel that they just can't imagine life without their dog. In reality, your dog truly can't live without you. It's only right, and shows the wisdom of the Creator, that we outlive our beloved dogs. Their life would be no less that short and miserable without us. Now, the third thing I've decided: FUCK WITH MY DOGS AND ONE OF US IS GOING TO JAIL!!!! The other one of us will be much worse off... Respectfully posted, Guido2 in Houston (German Wirehaired Pointers forever!)
