IndyArms 10,186
http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=95714929 Were it to be JUST THAT EASY... I do not think just changing over the trigger in a .308 will do the trick... "gunsmithing MAY be required" ... hmm... with those parts... GEE... ya THINK!?!?!??!?!?! I wonder how many people buy that and realize "holy fuck... I am screwed!" Thats a $9.00 stock, and /3rds of a $40.00 trigger. Wheres the disconnector!?!??! will it even match up in that part?!?!? OH BOY you get a shepherds crook... $14.00 at any site out there... $35 bucks worth of parts, for $75.00 and you can imagine the headaches that these parts will cause when the job is FUBAR... Am I wrong or is this a really bullshit auction going to cause people grief?!?!? I am not saying someone with some skills, and some spare parts cant make it happen, but for the average joe with a Saiga hes going to be in way over his head and in upside down because he was misled with poor parts and not enough info to make an informed decision! I think auctions like these are a black eye gun owners! idiots looking to make a buck no matter who they hurt or screw over! heres a copy of the message I sent to him... Verbatim... cut and pasted... http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=24487Above is a link I have posted on the Saiga forum, in regards to your kit... warning people away from it! I think sellers like you that give 5% of the info needed, and 10% of the parts needed to do the job right are going to get people hurt, just to make a buck! A trigger and stock are by NO MEANS ALL of the proper parts needed to do a .308 conversion. The hammer will not work properly IN MOST CASES... causing an unsafe firearm condition that most people will not realize until after they try to fire it and have an UNSAFE CONDITION!!! ...Yeah, they might get lucky and the disconnector will catch when fired... more often than not, it wont... I have steered dozens of ignorant people to the proper parts and techniques, when they tried doing conversions improperly because they tried to do it JUST THIS WAY, and were in serious trouble afterwards. Gunsmithing may be required... GEE... ya think? I hope no one gets hurt doing a half assed job with your half assed parts kit. I would hope to god that you could at least give some more info on your auction to let people know potential shortcomings of this kit... oh... but then you wouldnt make any money... would you? Cobra 76 two 2,677
Yeah that's crap. Another thing I hate seeing is those ads with guns and those shortcut ("no gunsmithing") folders and Hi cap mags being sold together. Some poor guy buys it and puts it together, takes it to the range and gets jumped or turned in by some range nazi like that poor guy with the burping AR.

IndyArms 10,186
Heres what I got back, and my response back to him... > I have done over 389 conversion with the parts I sell. I do theconversions > before even offering to sell the parts.shot hundreds of rounds with out ever > a misfire. I also direct people to the saiga conversion site. which shows > step by step how to do it. I have walked many a customer through the process > with nothing but positive results. received nothing but positive feedbacks > on them. > your right it is not for the average Joe. one should know his or hers own > limits. > find another soap box to preach from. bet your voting for Obama. LOL !! No... no Obama or Hillary votes here... I apologise for the preaching, just as a mod on the Saiga forum, I see and hear far too much of problems with people trying things beyond their scope... It gets frustrating seeing too often people trying to cash in on others ignorance. My honest concern is that we as gun people dont need any more negative press, and all it would take is one "bad conversion" to get far more negative press than any of us would wnt to see... If someones rifle burped a full mag with one trigger pull, or God forbid someone got hurt... well... enough said... Thats where my concerns lie, and I am sure you can understand where I am coming from... Mike > Ya know... Even if they DO work perfectly... I still think the ads are very mis-representative of the whole procedure... and maybe he SHOULD post a link to the conversion site along with his ad, so that people can see what they are getting into BEFORE they buy a kit, thinking they can do it, without realizing the complexity... Bvamp 604
I am moving away from commenting on things like this, for some reasons which will become apparant soon.... BUT... this is child grammar here, for one - "YOU PEOPLE ARE A BUNCH OF STUCK UP ASSHOLES YOU PEOPLE ARE WORST THAN LIBERALS WORRY ABOUT YOUR OWN LIFE AND NOT YOUR NEIGHBORS" ....and for two, it seems that our new found fan dislikes how it REALLY works in America. WE DO WATCH OUT for our Neighbors. WE DO WATCH OUT for our friends. I can think of a few words to refer to this forum in GENERAL TERMS, and "stuck-up" is not one of them. I smell a n00b. A young one, at that.

Its a bit of an odd introduction, to show him this place, and comment as we have. BAN? whatd he do to ban him? NO banning. if he gets out of hand, then I am sure the moderators will escort him right on out. I am trying to address several issues and points, in my roundabout, indirect way. thats all.
