OK I'll admit that I just don't get most of the tacticool shit. But this thing looks absolutely useless. Am I to understand that this thing is for POKING people? You have got to be kidding!! I bought the Saiga because I thought it seemed like a solid weapon based on a model with historically proven reliability. I'm now trying to get approval to carry it as a replacement for the Rem. 870 as a patrol shotty. But SERIOUSLY this thing belongs in a damned zombie movie and I honestly can't imagine any real world applications. Not to mention it looks like it would be rendered unable to close properly if dropped with the spikes extended. Sorry but I don't think I'll be preordering anything that will make one of the most solid weapons I have ever seen fragile.

I'd hope that someone carrying a loaded weapon wouldn't just go around falling or dropping it, but there are people like this guy!

how are you supposed to fight off the other two bad guys when the first bad guy is stuck to your Saiga? :cryss:

That thing is going to be GREAT for "persuading" fatass Klingons.

I didn't mean to offend. I do understand that, to some guys, a weapon is a hobby. Akin to pimpin your ride, I guess. If that's what you're into then by all means knock yourselves out! Mine are simply tools that help me get home to family on the worst day of my life. I just don't look at aftermarket add-ons for guns like I would for your car or other hobby stuff.

As for walking around falling down and dropping your weapon...When you evaluate any LE equipment (even a flashlight or a radio mic) the FIRST question is durability. Honestly, I'm not a big badass dude. 5'8" 219lb. I can handle myself but I deal with people everyday who neither I nor anyone else can handle one-on-one. Being taken off your feet and recovering a weapon is something that happens. We train for it regularly. many many many drills at the range of simply firiing up while lying on your back without kneecapping yourself or blowing off a big toe or two! I hope that you never spend a minute in harms way to protect yourself or anyone else. But if you do the LAST thing you want to worry about is if that tacticool gear is going to snap off in your hands or bend rendering your weapon useless possibly costing you time or your life.

In talking about this with a buddy of mine. He tells of his time in Iraq. Guys you see in the mess hall (when you get to a mess hall) with clean pressed uniforms and every concievable Tapco rail system, grips and optics mounted onto their M-4s. These guys are usually clerks or mechanics. They buy all that shit themselves. The boys who fight for a living call them the Gear Queers...lol

So the Zombie Fork system probably isn't going to be for me. But I am interested in learning more about the quick cleanout from CHAOS. The quick adjustment knob sounds like a good idea, to me. But I don't hunt with my Saiga and I only feed it 00 buckshot for obvious reasons.

Again, I meant no offense and I hope you sell a million of these things!

Please. Most guns are equipped with rail systems now anyway (unless it's some pogue unit). I was issued an M16A4 with a KAS rail system. I also had a surefire, an ACOG, and a PEQ-2. I'll be every swinging dick had a white light on their weapon (as they should, as we were doing night raids very often). Fighting men these days use white lights and optics because they are force multipliers. Yeah, there certainly are some supply idiots with a bunch of shit of their guns that they don't need, and yeah, they get laughed at. I've never heard anyone that actually fights laugh at a gun that had an ACOG and a surefire mounted.

Anyway, the spikes are for fun, kinda like a golf ball launcher. It isn't meant for serious use.

you should use that thing to catch tossed canteloupes, watermellons, and heads of lettuce and then blast them with some 00 BUCK off the spike ends. It be one helluva way to make fuit salad (and a mess). Of course, you'd have to put a disclaimer on it after that, so some dumbass doesn't blow his friend's hand off during a game of mellon skeet toss.

hmmmm, if only this were legal with shotguns.......then you'd have yourself a flying carp impaler.

Probably the military equivalent of Bullet Golfers.

Thanks man, but I'm a little bit of a nut-ball and love your work. I'll see about ordering one if you still have any when I get back from Germany. Can these fit other shotguns or just the Saiga 12?

They're threaded for saiga 12.

when will the first 20 go on sale or can I get in on a per buy or something? And it threads on to the end of the barrel is that right? can it be used with tromix break

The "put me on the list" people will have first chance at the $99.95 price. And yes, this should work with your tromix brake.
