If you want to go back and reply to someone you've already exchanged a few messages with (like an ongoing conversation with a customer about business), it won't let you do that. That sucks. What you will see is a red X beside those "conversations" that have been disabled. You should have looked at the bright side of things, like how much better the the new PM system is with regards to keeping up with business conversations an follow up... Wasn't trying to look at any dark side. I was asked by the OP what I thought about the changes. Forgive me for being honest like all the rest of these guys. Please do explain what you mean about how the new system is better in this regard? I'm sure others would also like to know. It's early Max, I haven't had a chance to learn this new system, nor have most others. Regardless...it should go without saying that we all appreciate you spending the time and money to upgrade to a newer system. But THANK YOU.....just so you know I said it too. I really like the FORUM.SAIGA-12.COM scripted logo... I hope you guys are going to be updating your brand stuff for that. Well, I'm not a big nerdy-tech-type, but it is definitely brighter with all the white. I know, I know, change the skin or my monitor settings . . . Other than that, if it works, I'm good. I didn't join this site because I liked the way it looked . . . And like I said, I'm not a big nerdy-tech-type, so I probably won't notice the finer details anyway. I used the same exact format for so long, Im having a few "where is it" issues still, but I am glad to see the authors of this software supporting the improvement to this board. Ill probably use the older skin when it comes out, if it is ported over properly, mainly out of habit. My ONLY complaint is that it takes up a lot of montor space.....I have the front page of saiga-12.com open on my second monitor right now, and rarely did I have to do that with the less "real estate" version of the skin, before...but skin overhauls or porting is pretty friggin tedious.... +1 on the positive for the bright page......for exactly the reasons stated above.....only viewing raw code is good with green lettering on black backgrounds.....or porn.....definately not on a professional forum, though, if anyone asked me (blame Bob). The business types I know in NY will tell you EXACTLY the same thing.....best non-gun advice in weeks, that statement. And it aint a girly thing, Drew. another "did you know? for ya's" I wear glasses instead of contacts because they have saved my vision numerous times in either eye (read: injuries from lack of eye protection) and I get them made 10% weaker because i look at monitors so much over the course of many years, and the weaker prescription is done intentionally to lessen "tubeache" headaches to almost NIL. Anyone that wears corrective lenses can tell you that is one of the few plusses to having eyes "made not to spec", is that you can get a pair of corrective lenses thats a little weak, and they not only improve your vision naturally over time (usually), but unfairly take away monitor eye strain. With that said, the white/pale background on a web page is easier for your eye to see and read, even with the "association" of a black page aside.....I have had more than one 1/2 hour private session with an Optometrist about this prescription change, btw, and am always happy to let them know about it....... Anyhow, apart from the "air" on this somewhat large forum that is displayed on my monitor, I kinda like it. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

If you get some skins in here, (a few more) that might help. The pictures post more like they do at another forum. I have a java picture album at my web site that when you click on a thumnail, the picture pops out at you while the ouside dims. Then, another click on the pic and the picture goes back to a thumbnail. I've seen it at another gun forum site. I think the only thing I have found that will take quite a bit of getting used to is going to be identifying stickies posts over normal posts. You could have made a few friends or a few enemies, or just had one who was REALLY determined. It won't mean much at first, after a bit it should settle out. Think of it as a better way to say +1 than to quote someones post and say +1. You can just click the pos button and everyone knows how you feel, alternativly if someones full of shit you can neg the hell out of them. I just gave a few people some +1s in the pic post for a few of my favorite s-12s... alternativly i just handed out some negs for some idiots in fight club.(its funny how quick i ran out in the saiga 12 clone thread) Quote Link to post Share on other sites

What is the time limit until you can post again on that? Does each post erase the last...indefinitely? I know it does for at least a few hrs.... Hmmm...interesting....does the cap get reset after 24 hrs or something? Or in other words, after you give all the people you really appreciate here a plus, and you hit the cap.....what about new people you want to give a thumbs up?
