Wolverine 10,360
I have decided to leave this forum based on recent developments. If you follow this thread the rationale will be self explanatory. Thanks to those of you from whom I have learned so much and to those of you that shared a good laugh. I will miss most of you guys but will not stay under these circumstances. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=6922 For those of you that need to contact me for business reasons you can email me at 1.wolverine@comcast.net. Take care fellow Saiga enthusiasts. Wolverine
stokstad 4
Hate to see you go wolverine. I can understand why you want to. Maybe someday you'll return. Thanks again for the hinge and the info youve shared.
KySoldier 2
I wish things hadn't gotten like this, I'll miss the funny pictures. Good luck to you.
Cobra 76 two 2,677
I'll miss ya Wolvie! We need more Saiga brothers with a fucking sense of humor. Screw Godwins Law. This all sounds like a personal problem that got outa hand. This place really turns into a shithole sometimes! Seems to me a simple PM notice would have done just fine if this was directed at you. Yes I get sick of all the links to porn sites, mostly posted by others. I get plenty of <"censored"> all the time and don't need to see hardcore porn to get my jollies but there's nothing wrong with a picture of a beautiful woman once in a while or even every day. Chicks holding guns would be better but there are only so many of those out there. Hell we should post pictures of our own chicks holding guns. But then some asshole would have to say something derrogatory and start a flame war! Oh well I guess I'll just have to see you on "that other forum". Thanks for the good times. M15A4spr 0
. . . I get plenty of <"censored"> all the time and don't need to see hardcore porn to get my jollies but there's nothing wrong with a picture of a beautiful woman once in a while or even every day. . . . Till some unsuspecting member clicks a link while surfing from work and whamo violates AUP and looses their job over it. Sad to see anyone go, but I'd REALLY like to see some sort of WARNING on those posts or have "that" only allowed in 1 forum so we know what to avoid. I'm not a prude, just don't need to be s-canned over some nudie pic.
M15A4spr 0
Oh well I guess I'll just have to see you on "that other forum". You don't happen to mean "that site" where the internet-Seal runs "Buy a million rounds" B.S. ?
jon elia 0
wolvie dont go man....its nice having you around here i actually got a kick out of all your funny stuff man....but if you must go shoot me a pm and let me know what "other board" your talking about take it easy man and be good
Cobra 76 two 2,677
I don't know what site you're talkin about but I was referring to gunsnet. And as far as clicking on the wrong shit at work goes too fuckin bad for you if that happens! You are supposed to be working not surfing the net. at least I think that's what your boss might say if he or she saw you viewing "questionable material" on their dime. I for one only access this site from home and that's where my comments are based from.

A co-worker got suspended for surfing, going to sites unrelated to work and having what they called too many personal pictures on his work laptop. They didn't even look over his shoulder, grabbed it with their computers,Big Brother Style.

BattleRifleG3 16
That thread didn't explain much, I'm not sure how it might have been edited. I had a falling out with Gunsnet a while back, decided that just leaving wouldn't do any good to anyone including myself, instead I just decided to cut back and not give them any personal efforts. I currently use the search feature to find what I'm looking for a lot more whereas I'd previously check the forums daily and look at any potentially interesting thread even if I had no idea what was in it. Maybe taking a breather and spreading out would help to appreciate this forum more? They say familiarity breeds contempt. You might like it a little better after a brief break or just a step down in the time spent here.

ivrfrkbrd 0
Please add my moniker to those who agree with Cobra 76 Two's post. Wolverine: There were dark days this spring when the only thing that would make me laugh out loud were your Off-topic posts. Start your own comic domain, get rich, buy more guns! I also enjoyed your many other postings, particularly those to people just getting started in the shooting world. Your true compassion for others is evident in your writings. As for leaving the forum.....welll last time I checked Wolverines were reknown for thier fearsome tenacticy so I will await your return................ Blessed Be Ivrfrkbrd P.S. Please excuse this post as I'm trying to figure out "how to Quote"

M15A4spr 0
If you think doing something may cause you to lose your job, dont do it. Surfing gun sites during breaks and lunch won't. If this is mearly a porn site, I guess that was my mistake.
IndyArms 10,186
As I am HOME on my lunch break to surf the net with the freedom of my OWN computer, I have a few things to comment on... BUT WONT till I get home AFTER WORK... as I prefer my lunch to be less typing, and more relaxing... sounds like there are some ISSUES here that people need to "unsubscribe" from... IndyArms 10,186
I changed my mind.... I am home... I was going to comment, like I planned... There is no need of me to waste the time nor the energy... I *KNOW* MOST of the folks on this forum pretty well... and I will also enhance that with "The ones that are WORTH KNOWING"... whether they fit the bill of the trolls, or do not, which is usually the case... it makes NO DIFFERENCE TO ME... cause I will vouch for their characters, and their integrity... Something that I am NOT seeing from certain individuals that feel the need to slam gunlovin, good, hardworkin, DECENT folks.... Those that I know, and respect... you all know who you are... also know there is no need for response to such idiocy... Remember INDY'S LAW Never Argue with an IDIOT... they will only drag you down to their level, then WHIP you with experience!

G O B 3,516
I have been away too long! My computer is being re-built, and the cable connection has been down. But DAMN! Wolvie-stick around we will miss you if you go! Guys, the best thing about America is that you can say anything you want, and this is the most democratic site around, wich is why I like it! But remember we also have the right to FLAME TROLLS! We also have the right to ignore morons. G O B
ASSASSIN 1
Hi all It saddens me to hear that one of our members is leaving in such a way. I hope that Wolverine will stick around (maybe under a different name) as i have noticed that some long timers have left this forum (where is sheik these days) but it is good to see that others like KYsoldier , BattlerifleG3 , Indyarms etc are still here. As people leave they take with them knowledge that could be shared amongst us all. I hope Wolverine stays. All the best Wolverine assassin

Even if you're on your lunch break you're surfing at your own risk if your using a work computer. The user of that computer is responsible for what gets pulled up on it, not people that post things on the internet. You can't blame someone else for a button you pushed. Cobra 76 two 2,677
Wolverine I want to apologize for helping that troll lead your thread astray. Especially this one. It looks to me like the general concensus though is most everyone would hate to see you go. I hope you and Bvamp can work things out. At least I don't see any of the "complainers" stepping forward to say see-ya.
rscotth 0
Wolverine- I would hate to see you go as you offer a lot of insight and experience to the forum and with being a contributor the site would be looser of that deal. I feel there are a few people who make this forum work as well as it does in the areas I haunt. I look forward to their posts and input. Wolverine is included in my list of a few good people who honestly help other members in this forum and also includes cobra 76 two as well as BattleRifle3G, smithmonsters, and IndyArms. Your input does not go unnoticed. RSH
Bvamp 604
anybody know why porn sites have a disclaimer and a click here if you are 18 or older on them? legalities and the law. i was trying to put it to wolf that some of it must be turned down. yeh, ive posted some nasty shit on here myself (remember the time i ended an all out fight with the picture of the chicken fucker?), but those couple pictures were it. they arent copywritten material either. i didnt say to stop posting, just to lighten it up some. then i come back and there is a mockery directed tword me. people that do that to me to my face here in NY, well, it aint exactly a pretty thing that happens next. i tell ya what guys, being moderator is not too much fun i tell ya. if anybody hates me, hey, say so. i dont even want the job anymore, to be honest with you all. one thing i dont like doing is putting my foot down. Wolverine 10,360
anybody know why porn sites have a disclaimer and a click here if you are 18 or older on them? legalities and the law. i was trying to put it to wolf that some of it must be turned down. yeh, ive posted some nasty shit on here myself (remember the time i ended an all out fight with the picture of the chicken fucker?), but those couple pictures were it. they arent copywritten material either. i didnt say to stop posting, just to lighten it up some. then i come back and there is a mockery directed tword me. people that do that to me to my face here in NY, well, it aint exactly a pretty thing that happens next. i tell ya what guys, being moderator is not too much fun i tell ya. if anybody hates me, hey, say so. i dont even want the job anymore, to be honest with you all. one thing i dont like doing is putting my foot down. Bvamp, Well I appreciate the job isn't easy and you were persuaded the whole thing needed to be reined in. One email to me asking for help or cooperation and it would be done. If I defied or ignored the request that would be different. Until the policy or rules came down the pike I had no idea there was a problem. Down loads of the pictures were increasing. Some guys thought maybe your "final warning" comment was meant for them rather than me because I had already cleaned all the pictures out. Others pointed out you are stretched thin and trying to do the job without enough help. Long story short is this thing mushroomed way out of proportion. I have not said or done anything on this forum that I wouldn't say or do to a person's face......including NCS and yourself. I not only enjoy humor but cynicism and sarcasm as well. Apparently I'm not alone. That's because I'm not really serious about it. The fact is I really do care about other people and their welfare. By the way the comment I made concerning "porn police" was not a direct reference to you but to the original complainants. They are entitled to their opinion but had a choice to view or not. Did I poke fun at the policy........guilty, and I enjoyed every minute of it. But I wasn't alone. So there you have it Bvamp. Next time you have a beef with me or one of the other guys please email first. If you can't get results then do what you need to do. I'm still here but have greatly reduced the number of posts. Perhaps you can comment on your intent concerning posting content for the benefit of all. Is it your intent to ban or prohibit all forms of nudity on the forum (and in particular the "Funny Section")? If not, please clarify for the interested members. Thanks. Wolverine Edit: Subsequent to this posting I saw your posting in the funny section addressing permissable posting content. Edited July 23, 2005 by Wolverine
