  1. I thought the mag capacity is limited at 10rnds? Is it suppose to be less? 5rnds? Also given that who would want to pay all that money just to have a drum mag that has 10rnds or less? Seems like a waste. The purpose of a drum is not just for increased capacity. Most people choose a drum, not for the capacity but for the increase clearance for shooting around objects and prone. But that is not the point. The point is a drum magazine is not mentioned in the Penal Code. Drum mags are legally referred to as rotary magazine. They contain the ammo and feed the ammo in a rotary fash

  3. Thank you. I have known hundreds of great LEO's and only a hand-full of bad ones. I can't say that I was either one, but I did my best and gave 110% everyday to be the best cop I could be.
  4. A shotgun to be illegal in the State of California set forth by the provisions in PC 12276.1 are as follows. it has to be a semi auto and it has to have a folding/telescoping stock AND A pistol grip or it has to have a detachable mag. or a shotgun with a revolving cylinder(like a street sweeper) THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE DRUM STYLE MAGS. THOSE ARE CALLED "ROTARY" MAGAZINES. Furthermore, hi capacity is 10 rounds.
  5. When I do electrical connections underground and they have to be isolated (from water, or vibration) I pour a "potting solution" in it. It dries hard as a rock and fills every nook and cranny. The only problem is it is very permanent, but you can drill and tap it. Hope this helps
  6. Hallboss- During offensive/active shooter training my routine position was nicknamed the "hallboss." I was the guy who stayed in the doorway of a room that was being cleared. This kept an eye on their back and made sure there was no activity in the hallway. However, when I was injured in 2004 they pulled me off of the street and stuck me behind a desk in the hall. It didn't take long for my favorite position during tactical training to become my nickname.
  7. Very true as long as in an attempt to keep the gun out of the nutcases hands, you don't remove it from the citizens'.
  8. Mike is great people, I'm sure he will get back to you as soon as he can.
  9. There is nothing wrong with that gun, it just had a built in liberal faggot safety that you obviously engaged. When it felt your smooth lotioned hands grasp it like it was your boyfriends dick, it immediately assumed you were too queer to handle that weapon and started malfunctioning...this is also known as "limp wristing" you queer fuck.
  10. SHOW ME x2 How many times must we tell you, don't search while you're drinking Snoofer. I've done this before. Do a search, find a thread that is interesting, respond to the thread only to find that it's 150 years old and half the people from the thread are no longer alive.....
  11. All in good fun...that is unless you own a highly secret mall security company....well then we'll really start in. Noobie, I hope you know I was kidding and I love your setup, I just can't afford that midbarrel break....
  12. You and Racegal are great people and it pains me to hear about this. My prayers are with both of you and I wish for a speedy recovery. The least I can do is extend the same courtesy both of you have given me, if there is anything I can do I MEAN ANYTHING, let me know. I'll PM you my cell if you need anything.
  13. I'm not nine-seven, but if you don't mind me butting in . . . California Penal Code section 12276.1(a)(3) defines "assault weapon" as "a semiautomatic centerfire rifle that has an overall length of less than 30 inches." Other rifles have a minimum overall length of 26 inches. Please be aware that if the rifle has a folding or collapsible stock, the overall length is measured with the stock in the folded/collapsed position. - Jack (calguns.net alum) Don't mind me, I'm just learning to read....I can't get shotgun's out of my head, completely slipped he was talking about ri
  14. nine-seven, in that other post, where did you read that a rifle has to be 30" or longer?
  15. Now that is some funny shit...... One thing anyone needs to remember when they are dealing with Shotgun Optics.............. IT'S A SHOTGUN!!!!!
  16. Thanks for the info. In another post, I made a derogatory remark about Pittsburg, even though I have never been there. Made me feel like shit, and I finally saw through the eyes of these ignorant F@%KS that make comments about CA even though they have never been there and in fact live in a state that by comparison is more restrictive/violent/liberal/etc. Guess walking around with your head in your ass and making blind ass comments is great for some people, just not me. Thanks again, Darin
  17. Scoutjoe, seriously.... Are you near Pittsburg? I've heard mixed things about the city, but mostly negative. I've never heard it referred to like Chicago or the like, but I've never heard it called Mayberry either. Since I have never been there and no one I know has, is it that bad? Or is it like most big Cities...gets a lot of publicity, mostly bad publicity? Just for personal knowledge, thanks Darin
  18. Personally, for Home Defense the best gun is a shotgun, but if you want a rifle I would recommend the 7.62. In regards to the second question, a semi auto rifle that has a detachable mag with a sporting stock is legal as long as it does not have the ability to accept more than 10 rounds. As soon as you put a pistol grip on it or throw in more than 10 rounds, then you have an assault rifle-not legal. (there are ways to have a pistol grip and have it be legal, but you mentioned unconverted.) Hope this helps Darin
  19. I think you're being a little anal there, but hey whatever. You're the one that has to live with yourself. I think you should be on the welcoming commitee since you are so congineal to all the new people around here.
  20. just saw this... http://www.the-armory.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/sb.html edit: sorry sold out
  21. Yep, but it's worth it. The only thing you have to worry about is the grip. The stock can be from anywhere since it came with a stock from Russia to begin with.
  22. This is funny as hell, this topic is six years old...I really don't think it was brought up as a valid question...lol.....more of a "Hey, look what we came from to where we are now." It's just to show how far this site has come in the last couple of years. we could always use more traffic, but I think we have quite a bit here. My member number is in the 12,000's and less than six MONTHS later the member numbers are in the 15,000's. 3,000 people joined this site inside of six months....we're doin' pretty good. Edit: Damn, I just noticed one of new posters is in the 17,000's....
  23. +1 spoken from true wisdom. If you rudely dismiss the police, even though it is unethical, you can swing the investigation.
  24. nah, .50 and up is no go where you are, so a mag-lock wouldnt work, i dont think, big guy.... hehehehehehehe.....damn, had to try anyway....
