  1. +1 On a national scale, nothing unites more than religion. On a global scale, nothing creates more conflict than religion. 13 years ago someone told me that it was OK to choose my own conception of God, that it was OK to let go of the ideas that were impressed on me in early life if I wanted to. It has freed me from the fear and resulting anger that I carried inside for decades, and my life and the lives of those about me have flourished. However, no matter what my thoughts are of ANY religion, I do now realize that those religions have given a sense of purpose, direction, peace, a
  2. April 7, 2009 Dear Mr.: Thank you for contacting my office to express your opinion regarding the Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 and protecting the right to bear arms. The Second Amendment states in pertinent part that ".the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." As a gun owner and sportsman, I believe that this right is important in ensuring individual freedom. Moreover, I take seriously my role as a United States Senator in protecting that constitutional right. I will work to ensure that that right is not u
  3. I seem to recall Bill O'Reilly doing a segment on this guy one time. God rest his soul and may he rest in peace. PS, thanks for the post.
  4. Its a big college town and there are many transients. There are also many people from a wide variety of countries and cultures that attend the various schools. I grew up about 50 miles west of the city, but I did live there breifly. Pittsburg was a steel town and had a reputation of being very rough, obviously there is no steel being made in Pittsburg today, but it still has that rough stigma. It is also known as a "Drug Hub". My .02 All major cities would be a " drug hub " for surronding small towns. Pittsburgh is not a bad city at all, those where the first cops to die in t

  7. So sorry for your loss Steven, your family will be in my prayers for the next week...
  8. I would like a free membership, if given this, I promise to never let it lapse.
  9. Indy....I must say that it is a little concerning to me that you being a "Super Moderator", would come to a section of the forum that gets very little attention in the first place, and basically tell people to shut up. I'd bet money that you wouldn't do that in a thread that continually goes "on and on and on......." about, say matters of the second amendment, someone would hand your nuts to you fast. It is very bothersome that you use the excuse of "saving bandwidth" to squash people from encouraging a vendor on this site to build what they want; I wonder what the vendor thinks of that. Which
  10. Believe it goes "you've broken all my fingers." Old Cheech and Chong album.
  11. The one in my state is VERY secretive, they have a web site for donations and prospective members but the vetting process is very elaborate for both, and that's all I've been able to find out about them. It seems that you probabaly are looked at by invitation upon recomendation of a current member.
  12. Not sure what I would have done yesterday, but I damn sure know what I'd do tomorrow. I know where they found SOME of these people they hired for the TSA, and they are not the brightest bulbs in the carton, in fact some of them were literaly taken right out of the terminaly adicted welfare line. Put a badge on someone like that and God only knows what might happen next. That kid probabaly ended up on various Gov. watch lists. Sign Zee papers old man.....I can't sign Zee papers, you've cut off my fingers , anyone know where that comes from?
  13. I hadn't really thought about it until reading what you wrote, but I find myself thinking much mor carefully before saying certain things either to, or in the presence of certian people. I never used to care too much about it, now I question whether they might be trusted to hear certain things.....Hummmm.
  14. Thanks for sharing that. The last time my daughter called me pissing and moaning about her life, I told he that in the end she wouldn't be judged on how many tines she got knocked down, but rather, how many times she got back up. She hasn't called me in that condition for a while now.
  15. Not suprised, seems to be some of that "maybe we messed up this time" going around some of the people I know, and family. I like the way you've handeled it, I find it more difficult to keep my cool with some of my older family members. Good job
  16. WTF, magical powers?, Geroge?....Bammys signature on current legislation has already fucked this country for decades to come and he hasn't been there for 100 days yet, are you fucken serious?
