  1. Endine makes the "shot stock". It has an aluminum tube. I believe they offer both commercial and military sizes. It does not use fluid, it uses a big spring even though their advertising uses the same language as they do for their fluid type buffer for the AR15. It screws into a reciever adapter for an AK just like a M4 stock extension tube. The S-12 uses the same reciever block and adapters as the S-308... There are some posts on here people using them on shotguns. One was warrior judge. I'm not sure I would buy anything through botach tacticle, as it seems to be a roll of the dice,
  2. The Ace stock seems rather solid for a hollow tube type folder. The DPH Arms folder looks to be even stronger with being made out of solid alum, but would also weigh more than the Ace. I have not used the DPH Arm stock. As far as tele stocks go, I have seen a solid alum extension tube for sale some where although I can't recall where. I would think using one of those with an M4 stock could produce a rather stout set up. Again it would prob be a little hefty.
  3. From the description of the events, I don't see what the castle doctrine has to do with it. Sounds the homes occupants were justified according to Texas law to shoot the invaders anyway.? Looks like the media is just trying to stir up some controversy Re the new castle doctrine. No surprise there.
  4. Edited to say: the disconnect and the trigger hook should not both engage the hammer at the same time. The disconnect should catch the hammer when the trigger has been pulled and is still back as the hammer is recocked like when the action is cycled. When releasing the trigger allowing it to move forward to the reset position the disconnect should move back enough to release the hammer. When the hammer is realesed by the disconnect, the hook on the trigger should have moved enough to now catch the hammer preventing it from falling. I've seen this before when the trigger was not installed
  5. Another grip that I would encourge you to consider is the AK model that Hogue makes. I was surprised at how the carbine handled after replacing an old Ergo grip with one. Edited to add: The dimples seem to leave a little less room for full cap mags to wiggle side to side.
  6. What barrel lenght did you go with on your S-223? 16", 20"? And welcome to the forum.
  7. Sounds good! If it will cycle the shotgun on setting number 1, using low brass ammo that would be a good indicator that it's over gassed.
  8. How does this compare to one that is correct? All the hinges I've used from them looks like the picture above. They lock up tight though.
  9. Take from it what you will. I meant no more and no less than what I posted. What you do with the info posted here is your choice. I don't know what other guns you were refering to that you own. If they have a floating fire pin, and you chamber a live round repetedly, I think there is a chance eventually it will go off. Another possability is causing bullet set back at some point when rechambering live ammo in an auto loader. I don't mean to tell you what to do, or be condesending. If you're old enough to own firearms, then hopefully your old enough to make decisions yourself. It mig
  10. I've seen post before about the firing pin dimpling the primers when hand cycling ammo. Then after repeatedly using the same rounds, one went off. I use snap caps or spent rounds that are filled with sand with no gun powder or primer.
  11. The short answer: When there is no more sin. Things will be looking good for a while at some point as the ruler of the world will seem to have solved the worlds major problems. It will be temp. Then it will get worse than ever before. After a period of time someone inparticular will return with His armies that are beyond number, open up a can of whop ass and then set up His Kingdom. These problems will no longer be.
  12. If I remeber correctly, the mil spec tube is a little smaller due to being milled from bar stock rather than from an extrusion. That seems to be what I bought. Mil spec stocks are a little less abundant then commerc
  13. I get really tired of the cop bashing on here too. But if leos get out of line, it needs to be discussed. And this time, those asswhipes deserve whatever they get! As Georgia said, ya gotta hang yer head on this one. Discussed. I think that is apropriate. My biggest concern with this kind of stuff is, what if you end up on the wrong end of something/someone like this, and there is no video of what happened? What if your life is at stake?
  14. This is a nice choice. Light weight, and sits low. Sig and Bushnell make a lower priced version. The $150.00 Bushnell has a two year warranty and has got some good reviews.
  15. The Krebs front sight is like that, but a little taller than the Russian clamp on front sight. It also uses a ghost ring that replaces the factory V notch rear sight. Their about half way down the page. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...ARTS/Categories
  16. Is the federal low recoil loading? What model number is on the box?
  17. That's a good question. I haven't had the opertunity to do any side by side comparison yet. I have been hoping someone would make a 12 guage sized version of the Smith Vortex for me to try. Maybe they could make the prongs with evil three sided points. DPH ARMs made a Phantom FH for the S-12. That might be a good candidate. The Phantom works pretty good on rifles.
  18. The best irons would prob be the ones made by Krebs Custom.
  19. It would really be nice if he would develop one that the drums would work with also.
  20. My impression of it is that it is really produces a lot of smoke! It also feeds, fires, and ejects good.
