  1. Elvis, Round up all of your purchase receipts, including the serial number for the handgun and head back down to NOPD. When you get there, ask to see the watch commander and explain the situation. Also, ask for a copy of the arrest report and see if the watch commander is able to pull up the original dispatch tapes for the responding officers. Every incoming call and dispatched call is recorded and saved. The officer most likely ran the gun with their dispatch to check it for stolen status while they were checking and verifying your permits and such. If this is on the audio tapes, then you
  2. Didn't the "Cash for Clunkers" program get rid of about 90% of those stickers anyway
  3. Pauly, I certainly understand your reasoning behind this thread and you have brought up some valid points. My opinion, tape away and I hope that it works out for you. If the officer(s) are hiding anything, then hammer them in your civil action and enjoy life. If they are not hiding anything, then move on with life. But, there is a down side to this and that is losing. If you lose your case, the state can be awarded their costs back at the end of the trial, which you would be forced to pay. Just remember about the discovery portion for evidence. You previously stated that most prosecutors d
  4. Yep, I understand your reasoning here completely. Unfortunately, someone that has already entered your residence and made that bump in the night sound does not play by the same set of rules as a reasonable and responsible person. In my home, my child's room is on the other side of the residence, therefore it is an easy possibility for someone to get between us while inside. Birdshot (7 1/2) is just my prefered choice, but by no means the only choice for everyone.
  5. Michael, Cobra (forum vendor on here) makes a nice heat shield for a pretty reasonable price. It may be what you are looking for and save you some time with the dremel.
  6. Yak, Thanks for the link, I may be using it in the near future. Bean, I gave him a +1 for you
  7. In fact, they are so bad that I am willing to take one for the team. Everyone should send their "Bad" drums to me for proper disposal. I know, I know..what a great and thoughtful thing for me to offer, but I am standup kind of guy

    ^^^^^^^This above (Cobra's Post) is correct^^^^^^^^^^
  9. Right back at you!!! May all of our families come together in peace and travel safely.
  10. We needed some sleep we got about 4 hours. The last few good hours that you will have for a long time. Again, congrats on the new baby
  11. Absolutely nothing but a bunch of tough talk towards them. The US will act tough, but in reality, we will do nothing to them. North Korea is backed by China, who would immediately demand payment in full for all of their loans to the US if we attempted to take military action against them. If that happened, this country would cease to exist on the global economic marketplace. It kind of reminds me of King Kong. We will stand on top of the Empire State Building beating our chests with disapproval until being knocked back down to ground level. A really sad state of affairs that we are in right no
  12. In reality, why the need for an expensive home defense load that you may or may not need to justify if the worst possible scenario takes place in your home. Most homes do not have hallways that are longer than 10 to 15 yards. Any birdshot (6, 7 1/2, 8) is perfectly acceptable and more than lethal at these ranges. Muscle density is muscle density no matter how you look at it. A heart shot on a pheasant, duck or goose is very close to the same depth as it is on a human, including the breast plate and rib cage. If birdshot is capable of bringing home the dinner at much farther distances than you
  13. ^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS ABOVE IS CORRECT^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  14. Nightforce, Leopold and Pentax. Surprisingly, the Pentax Light Seeker series are by far the cheapest and the optical quality is just as good or better in some cases than the others that I listed.
  15. Nope, not safe to shoot at all and don't listen to all of the others that posted. Promptly send the dented ammo to me for proper diposal
  16. Congrats to you and your family on the new little bundle of joy. Prayers out to you for a safe delivery and the years of work ahead of you.
  17. Arik, Let's see. You want a caliber bigger than .30 and capable to effectively hitting out to 500 yards. Additionally you would like ammo to be reasonably priced and obtained. While my first thought was the .375 also, I think that you will find that the .338 Win Mag will do all that you are looking for and is perfectly capable of taking any game on this continent. I know for a fact that it will take an elk at 473 yards Combine the capabilites of the cartridge and the moderate recoil and you have FULL WIN... I still love the .375 though
