By the way, All caps on the internet is like yelling in a library. Not generally accepted and makes it difficult to read. -
Possible to use a magnifier with an EOTech and an ultimak?
gunnysmith replied to opto_isolator's topic in Tech Section
Those type sights are for short ranges. Think about what you are doing, starting with a more narrow field of view when magnifying. That alone defeats the purpose of the sight. -
Glad every is finally working out

Trigger plate: Safety won't function normally without it??
gunnysmith replied to JDNJ1985's topic in Saiga Rifle Conversions
These are the trigger guards off a stock Saiga They have nothing to do with the selector stop The safety stop or selector stop is under the magazine latch. It's the piece at the bottom of the picture -

gunnysmith replied to JDNJ1985's topic in Saiga Rifle Conversions
Are you replacing the trigger guard or re-using the Saiga. If you are using the Saiga mag latch and repositioning the trigger guard, you don't need to remove the mag catch. The part you are talking about is under the mag catch, not a part of the old trigger guard. -
Trigger plate: Safety won't function normally without it??
gunnysmith replied to JDNJ1985's topic in Saiga Rifle Conversions
Leave it in. The safety stop plate is also what determines the rear height of the magazine at the mag latch in relation to the bolt. -
Its a 12. It doesnt use bullets... Before I converted it fired and ejected everything in Gas position 1. Now if I am firing the light loads on 1 the bolt returns before the shell has been completely ejected That was the first hint it was a shotty. Others will have to help on this one I'm not a shotgunner.

No bullet guide? Are you using the original mag or military. Does out the door mean ejection port? Does the hammer reset?
-
What all have you done. Trigger group bullet feed etc
-
Replacing the Saiga hammer spring presents a problem as noted below. It's the short hammer spring leg on a Saiga for the BHO that must be noted by the person doing the conversion.
-
That's why I suggested the Catepillar(as in bulldozer) graphite. It's dry in seconds and doesn't gum up. I also use it inside magazines and on springs and followers.

Like that Cobra?

In a .45 ACP a 200 gr bullet is into the bore about 1" from just the primer alone. My powder measure hung up on a progressive loader. To the range with a 3/8 wooden dowel a plastic mallet and about 75 rounds of .45 ACP. Shoot click hammer the slug out, Shoot click hammer the slug out, Shoot click hammer the slug out. There were about 10 rounds with no powder.
