  1. This is amazing. There are two parts. Be sure to read the 2nd part (in RED). Thomas Jefferson was a very remarkable man who started learning very early in life and never stopped. At 5, began studying under his cousin's tutor. At 9, studied Latin, Greek and French. At 14, studied classical literature and additional languages. At 16, entered the College of William and Mary. At 19, studied Law for 5 years starting under George Wythe. At 23, started his own law practice. At 25, was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses. At 31, wrote the widely circulated "S

On second thought I think I need a muzzle chamfer.

  5. Anyone know where I can find some 5.56 62gr green tip bullets for reloading? Cost? Links?

I've always found it easier to get forgiven, than to get permission.

  7. Wilderness belts are great. I should have bought it one size larger than my waist though. When I carry, I find it to be a bit too tight and it doesn't have a large degree of adjustment.
  8. Prowler at my house last night at around 1am. No, I didn't catch him. Guard duty tonight!

No prowler last night. My buddy came by to help me install flood lights and get my alarm system set up.

  9. A co-worker/FFL holder/contractor just invited me to go. I'll be there. I have more tickets coming from my Dad, who is also in the industry. I MAY*** have extras, so PM me if anyone else can go... don't want to waste any.
  10. I made more money on craigslist in 2 days than I made in 2 weeks at work! Now, I need more crap to sell. Thank you, LORD!

  11. I strongly agree with Rob. I had a friend who I considered a brother, rip me for $1,500. It still hurts, not the money, but the loss of a close friend. We have spoke once since then and now its been 5 yrs. Sometimes it's best to just count your loss and hope for the best. Good luck, man.
  12. Very impressive. Thanks to everyone who posted, you have been very helpful. - Waite
  13. I have a friend who wants one bad and that's all he talks about. What's the weight on it, reliability? Are mag changes comfortable and quick, while keeping the sights on target? Nice gun, bro.
  14. R5.....excellent suggestion. This thread is for more than a gun though. I would like a well rounded thought on a long range platform. Thanks guys.
  15. Sold some crap on craigslist today to an combat instructor. We had some great conversation on tactics. I love craigslist.

  16. Yes, I love Savage! That is one of the three I quoted in my write-up. Do you have any thing else to contribute? This is a long range post. The gun is great but I need more...in detail. Thanks, bro!
  17. Like most others here, I am on a limited budget. I want a good, accurate, long range .308 rifle for target and/or tact shooting, out to 1000m. This topic has been talked about and played out here, there and everywhere. I know, I know, I know. What is different; is what gun , barrel length, twist rate, ammo, scope, bipod and stock would you prefer, if you wanted a great package on a limited budget? I know a lot about this stuff but i'm more of a student than a scholar. I would really like to hear some opinions from Scholars rather than Students. Anybody? If I'm leaving out any modifications
  18. No sir, I don't want to take that bet. LOL I hope he gets his nuts nailed to the wall though.
  19. I put a Clerke 20" bull barrel on mine about 3yrs ago and I've taken rabbits out past 250yrds. I love it and will keep it forever!
  20. I was just talking to my neighbor, when 4 F-15's flew over head out of Nellis AFB. He looked up and said "I hate that noise." Then I said, " I love it because that's the sound of freedom."

I live near an impact area and it warms my heart to hear the artillery pounding away

Amen, the sound of good men defending freedom is a sweet sweet sound.

Until last month I lived right on the western boundary of Elmendorf AFB/Ft. Richardson Combined base. There's nothing like the sound of automatic weapons fire with your morning coffee and F-22s and most of the rest of the AF's inventory coming and going all day. Gotta admit, though, that helicopters do annoy me. Noisy and fast is one thing, noisy and slow is another.

  21. Happy birthday, bro! Glad to hear business is good too. We serve an amazing God.
  22. Firearms training all day at work today. Good times.
