  1. Well if the parts kits for this gun have the weak disconnector spring it might almost be confused for an auto...
  2. the one in the middle belongs to hilljack (mines in wood) the scope is a 6x and is set up just right (i shot it a few times) bipod is next on the list. it probablyy will be the chinese version as the russian ones are crazy expensive. i know the chinese ones work very well as we had a couple out that day. i believe you are correct. it was brass cased. does that sound right? it wasnt really yellow paint like ive seen more of a clear yellow laquer. Yup brass cased, I had bought two tins of it at the local gun store. Stuff kicked like a mule though my M44....and I liked it Sad par
  3. And I was told that I was crazy paying for them during the pre-buy...
  4. I like the clean look of them. I can see a couple of them depending on what they come in at.
  5. If that yellow tipped stuff was the same as mine, it was a heavy ball ammo that the Hungarians had for the PKM. At least that's what I got off 7.62x54r dot net
  6. Ya I was tempted to get one just to see what all I could swap out. Course the truck wanting new tires kinda killed that idea..
  7. It does go bad. Even double ziploced in an ammo can it drew moisture
  8. Me and the guys can't go to the club and try them out (7 guns between us) I'd get accused of having a machine gun again
  9. Anybody remember the beating he took about bringing the drums to market? Probably doesn't want to put up with the crap while working out the bugs.
  10. So...Anartica? If not I've done some wildfire work
  11. Not everything in CDNN flopped, that's how some of us got into Saigas.
  12. Its amazing to hear the old warbirds fly over and listen to the power of the engines, see them cruising along. Amazing story about the raid I loved reading some of the accounts. Got to see a B-17 appear low over a ridge back home when it was in town for an airshow, definately cool. Haven't seen a Mitchell in flight yet though.
  13. I thought Tom Cole built one too. I'm sure the recoil was rough. If you wanted to try to get impaled by stock parts you could always try one of those old poly blocks so you don't have to change the rear truninon out.
  14. Hey now I know I'm a tree hugger...but that's just to throw my diameter tape around them, or to see which way they want to fall.
  15. Now that is a fine hunk of walnut. Glad to see it went to such a beautiful project
  16. Its amazing there are some of us around that remember McUzi..... Juggs and the rest of the mods do a good job around here. It can't be easy And Boba was alright to deal with on a few things. He marches to his own drummer when it comes to builds but its that spirit that once was a lot more common on this forum when everybody had to fabricate parts. Personally I wish there was more people who think outside the box rather than the bolt on crowd.
  17. I'm pretty sure I can get my S-12 rocking faster than the SX3. Probably not right now since I haven't been shooting as much, but I think the gun is capable.
  18. Used to be more common with earlier guns.
  19. That only requires a bigger hammer, puck still comes out. She's Russian, she likes it rough
  20. Well ya gotta do what ya gotta do then. I was more giving ya a hard time bout the Harely.
