  1. And that damn president was on vacation. Not like another president that kept reading books to kids...
  2. I am done with rude people. I unloaded a trucker that went from Washington state to Dallas to Flint Michigan, to York, Pa today, and the boss yelled at him the whole time.

  3. Home defense is 10' or less. Leave the bird shot for birds and snakes. The best choice is reduced recoil 00 buck shot. Sadly, you will have to leave the realms of China-Mart to get it. Ammotogo.com, abbleammo.com, cheaperthandirt.com, sportsmansguide.com are all good places.
  4. Most of the people that caused the economic collapse belong to one church or another. Usury doesn't seem too high on the sin list these days. You'll be fine.
  5. Wow, that is harsh! In Siberia or Ural, there is a mining town that gets over run by bears pretty often. Kind of like Churchill Alaska used to get with polar bears.
  6. 460 xvr. A 200 grain slug going 2100 ft/second.
  7. My uncle's Garande lobs modern 30.06 rounds with ease. For my money, I would take 8 rounds of 7.62 x 63 over 20 rounds of 7.62 x 51 any day. Now if a gun smith could mod a Garande to take 300 mag=7.62 x 71 I would be all in! Great topic, Arik.
  8. I will never be a member of the NRA again. They came at me relentlessly for more money with scum-bag tactics like sending me a dvd I didn't order and then asking to send it back on my bill or pay for it. They are the Sarah Palin of lobbiests, they show up, get attention and leave. I put my money into IAVA: Irag Afghanistan Veterans Association, and other organizations.
  9. British central banks are the same as our central bank. The tax rate over there is insane. Couple that with the lack of exportable durable goods, and you have a powder keg. A disarmed, angry populace that has more cameras per acre than D.C. will breed an enviroment that is ripe for explosion. Coming to a nation near you.
  10. "On the beach" is the classic go to. 1984 is a must read-"for $4.00". Anything with creatures and zombies will always rule too.
  11. I still use smoke signals. They are hard to hack.
  12. Singing in the rain, I'm just singing in the rain. A glass of milk please.
  13. Hey Scoutjoe, I'll be in Huntingdon Pa this weekend.
  14. You guys seem to be taking a lot of fast turn around stuff these days. It makes for good t.v. but I hope the producers cut you folks some slack! Four MG-42's in a week is hard enough. On a quad mount...Ouch! Riveting t.v. though, and I like how you guys discussed the 'web' talk. Good stuff.
  15. My best friend has pretty much every horror movie character tattooed to him, but the one that sticks out is Damien from The Omen. What makes it special is, he went to a horror convention and the actor that played him, autographed his leg, right below the tattoo. He went and had a tattoo artist and traced that autograph. I'm no fan of The Duke, but it is a good tat.
  16. London has the most cameras per block of any civilized city and has been disarmed for years. None of this violence is possible...right?
  17. Ya better get a .38 special revolver then, more violent crimes have been committed in this country with that round than all others. Pretty poor choice of wording on your part.
  18. To get this back on movies... Darth Vader and Darth Maul, or Luke Skywalker and Princess Leah? They are the 2 choices. But there was a 3rd choice that made a difference. Han 'Freaking' Solo! Independent and proud of it! Han was called a 'Nerf Hearder' by the good guys, and still stayed true to his beliefs, even though he owed an ass load of money to a mob boss, to the point that bounty hunters with no constitutional restraints could detain him.
  19. Sly is the closest on this one. I ignore ALL popular news and only read coinflation and zerohedge. Zerohedge takes a bit of economic background to understand, but it quickly becomes clear that nothing is free and all things are profit based for just a few people. I love our military people on the ground, but they might as well change the name of our forces to Exxon or Pepsi. Our money is near useless, but our bombs are still affective...for now. They are being outsourced too. Keep voting red or blue, green is the only color now.
  20. Automation and outsourcing, combined with unchecked breeding habits and over population. It's simple math. There will never be enough jobs to achieve an acceptable employment rate. Good and honest people are left with little choices, and the result is new criminals.
  21. Or do a 'Shark Brake' episode.
  22. I always root for the villain in movies, so this is right up my alley! Admit it, Dennis Hopper saved Blue Velvet, Water World and Speed! Christopher Walken made The Prophecy and Things to do in Denver when your dead. Heath Ledger as The Joker was one of the greatest roles ever played. Heroes suck, give me compelling villains over predictable heroes any day.
