    Icemaniceland's name is Baddi. He is in a wheel chair and an avid hunter. He has taken more game in one season than most of us ever will. He has cause for concern, because the Norway massacre has put pressure on his prime minister to follow in England's footsteps of disarming and big brother cameras. In light of the failed gun fiasco our own government just allowed, his problem will be our problem soon enough.

      Used to work there....sorry but its actually no cleaner than your neighborhood McDonalds but the food isnt really cooked its essentially put through a miniature pizza oven or microwaved....safest food from this place is going to be fried.

    Pistols and long guns are both tools. You need the right tool for the job. A guy down the street shooting at people is best left to the rifle. A burglar in my house is best left to the pistol-I would not want to use my Mosin for all the obvious reasons. Personally, I prefer a large caliber revolver for 3 reasons: 1. No brass on the ground, that could matter later. 2. One shot from a .357 or .44 will get it done. That matters if the other fellow/fellows sprayed and prayed and it goes to court. 3. That one hit from a larger caliber is going to destroy the will of the others when the

    I think I suffered more brain damage yesterday in the heat! I couldn't remember names of people I just talked to 15 minutes earlier! 105 outside and 115 in the shop is too much!

      The GOOSE season start 20. agust. Greylag gees ( ANCER ANCER ) one of the 3 "brightest" bird in the world. hard to hunt great challance ! little sleep, hard work, lot af adrenaline rush !!

      No hunting limit. you will love it.

    I've flung many an arrow from my custom Hoyt though the years before I sold it. That last episode was sweet! I took 3 carp at 26", 28", and 32" with it. I hit a squirrel at 20 yards head on, not sideways. I also beheaded a robin once, but that was luck more than skill. Those arrows ya made...Sweet!

    Any chance we could add a sticky post in general for movie reviews? We all watch 'em, and talk about them on an individual basis, why not condense it. In the last week I watched : True grit, Battle Los Angeles, Hall Pass. I would love to get input and opinions before watching.

    I live in Pa, and have family near State College, Altoona and Bloomsburg, so I hike there. I go to the Outer Banks in NC every year, but that's renting a Mcmansion for a week, so no hiking or open carry there. I do bring a side arm, but I keep it in my bedroom. I'm only about an hour from Bloomsburg where do you hike out that way ?? Near Mainville, just south of the river. My Aunt has a sweet lot of land there and black bears show up a lot.

    The ONLY reality-themed show I watch, well Man vs. Food too I can't even look at Top Shot any more now. I was on The Daily Beast the other day, and there was an article about guns in the U.S. The best part is the comments. Some loon posted "Guns are being made out to be sexy in this country, there's even a show where a family makes assault weapons". I laughed hysterically! Keep it going Will!

    I got lost in Camden NJ once on my way to the Tweeter center to see Ozfest because we cheaped out and took the Walt Whitman instead Of paying $2 for the Ben Franklin bridge. I never made that mistake again. In that hell hole you should have a Wart Hog Gatlin attached to your car! I chose my S-12, because I do not yet own a Saiga rifle, but I will!

    Very good points about momentum and velocity. I only live in black bear country now, so I think my .44 with the one box of Cor-Bon 305 grain hard casts is all I need here. I did live in Idaho, and used to camp in northern Idaho, Wyoming, and Northern Nevada. I was young then, so all I had was my Winchester 1200 20 gauge, but dad had a .357 with hot home loads and his Winchester .284 lever action. Probably not the best choices!

    Gotta love the 1911. I got a Taurus for $474, and I hate the Heine sights. Probably gonna get some standard low-pro combat sights or some nice night sights, not sure yet. Sarco inc. has been a great supplier of parts for all things 1911 for years. You will get very acquainted with them soon enough! I think my next one will be a from start build from the frame up just to see if I can.

    Lucky indeed. I saw that show Hunter and Hunted about 2 Polar bear attacks in Norway. The one attacked because he fired a warning shot and it pissed the bear off. It was only a .22 revolver to boot! The other attack was 2 women cornered on a cliff. Low flying airplanes pissed that one off. They don't like noise. About that other story that was posted, 6 shots from 300 win mags and still trucking! My .44mag seems useless now.

    I wish they'd make a sub-2000 in .45acp with 1911 mags! I read that they get asked that question a lot, but have no plans to make one. That new Hi-point 45 carbine is too damn ugly, and the only mags it uses are 8rd Hi-point and 10rd Pro-mag. No thank you.
