  3. What type of mags? The FTFs generally stem from a slow feed on mags. The bolt's feed foot makes contact too high on the rear of the shell & kicks the nose of the shell up early, then the bolt is trying to jam it in there after it's bounced & dragged around till kingdom-come, and the inertia of the carrier / power of the recoil spring just runs out and it stalls. I tune ALL my US made stick mags. Just as a precaution. With the AGP, I take them apart and sand the inside channels on the sides where the follower rides with 200 grit where you'll see plastic disruptions from where th
  4. Got done testing an S-12, 2 sets of the last internela I'll EVER repair (sorry guys, don't fuck up) & 2 AKs.... Learned something... When an AK mag tag says "this drum will set your handguard on fire" that's NOT a sales pitch. It will. Thankfully I keep a 24 pack of water in the trunk.

Or you could have done like the boys did in "We Were Soldiers" when the mortars overheated, piss on it. It's stank though..

  5. Just lost a very dear friend. She passed away from congestive heart failure on this, her 32nd birthday. Enjoy every moment you have with those you love, and tell them so upon departure. Never leave on bad terms, as you never know... It may be the last time you speak..

  6. Not too long ago a customer told me he read on another forum where someone was saying that the tuning of the extractor that I do in GlassBolt only involved a lighter spring. This is not accurate. On occasion, the factory messes up milling the extractor's cavity in the bolt's head. When this happens, generally it's their endmill being at the wrong angle, so the extractor slot's not wide enough at the rear to allow the extractor to tilt back like it's supposed to, or the cavity is too shallow & the extractor's bottom bottoms out early, not allowing the extractor to move properly and (
  7. Now, now.... Anyhow... The thought crossed my mind about writing up how to weld a pre-travel & over-travel limiter, how to fit it to the gun, then how to adjust the disconnector & hammer's tail to tighten it all up, but it occurred to me that chances are, it might "empower" the wrong person, and someone would end up shooting their dog because they didn't set it & test it all together right.
  8. lol. Don't come to me for a super short pull trigger. My triggers are a regular' Tapco's pull. The smoothness of action comes from the hammer being matched to the carrier. They're smooth as all hell, but that wasn't even for the feel so much as reliability, because the mainspring doesn't have to work as hard to fully reset the trigger & hammer if run dry, and for the trigger bar's surface to work in conjunction with the mainspring's tweeks to keep the mainspring's legs properly placed on the trigger bars for optimal leverage. The smooth feel of the pull is really just a side effect of G

      Bummer.

The client I did it for will eventually send me pics of it on the gun.

I did it for Mike of National Firearms for a charity raffle to benefit a child with Leukemia.

      Incorrect.

That was a vote on Cloture, which was a vote, to vote on it.

It was delayed, not shot down.

  13. A large murder of crows recently started hanging around my area for a bit.... They were getting around the dogs's food. Being as crows are a predatory bird and they, being vectors were posing a health hazard, by law they can be shot ... Issue is, I live in the city. Well, just so happens I still have that Red Ryder that my sister wouldn't let me give my niece. So I'm plinkin' crows for a day (It really isn't unlawful, I checked with the police as well as fish & wildlife first).... I hit every one I shot at (even if I had to take multiple shots, because they just stay there when you miss
  14. No worries. Just pay it forward next time you see someone completely fucked & it won't put you out too much. Shitty about the MA not being able to hold guns any longer. Is that just an Everett, or big ship thing, or is it Nav-wide?
  15. Were all the employees drunk? Because I swear, with all the inconsistencies they ship over here, that's the conclusion we've all come to. Reason for a Saiga? Radom never made a Polish AK in 12 gauge. Please tell them to change the drill bits they drill the ports with every now & again. Like more nows & agains.I've measured everything from high .08", to low .06" on 3 port guns. That's unreal. Thanks, & good luck on the story.
  16. I believe they have been for many years. At least they were allowed back in 95.They just have to be held by the Master At Arms (MA). ETA; I love how the Avatar pic has a skeptical look to go along with the post.
  17. That sucks man. Some shitbird stole my Peacoat, and some other douchebag stole my cover despite the fact that my name was written as large as possible on the underside of the bill. Some people just have no shame. If it's for an S-12, I have one that I've been holding onto in case I ever royally screwed the pooch. PM me your shipping address & it's yours. Thanks for your service & welcome to the forum.
  18. Tool kit, pain killers, uppers etc... Anything that's small & could be helpful if the SHTF.
  19. You have to remove the forearm and the stock. Interesting though, the Saiga still has the stock trigger in tact but the extension trigger for the Kush is U.S. made. Too bad the trigger wouldn't count also. It's not hard to make a Tapco FCG work in an unconverted weapon.Just cut off the trigger lever from the Tapco, grind it flat & profile the hammer correctly. You'd deffinately get the disconnector & Hammer for 2 compliance parts, The sear would be US made, but the factory trigger would still be russian, so you wouldn't gain the third if really scrutinized.
  20. I'm just guessing here, but it looks like this will fit; If not, give Greg a week or two after he gets one in "stock" & I'm sure one will be released that will.
  21. +1 x2 If one knows how to tune the guns correctly & what all to check for & address, that's the maximum one needs for a 19" full length gas system S-12 to cycle win-bulk reliably without overgassing the firearm for 3" magnum. When measuring them with # bits, I've seen them so small that the only bit they'd fit was a #53 which is .059". If yours were that small, the .093" ports would look huge in comparison. The Factory uses bits until they disintegrate into nothingness, so a very wide variety of sizes can be found on brand new guns. I'm with Tony on adding a 4th unles
