I believe it's an overtravel limiter.

I have one and light it just fine. The only thing I don't like about it is there's no on/off switch. It's detected by a sensor. That being said, if it's dark it doesn't turn on. That doesn't make it much good for HD (home defense) I thought, so I put a red dot on that had an on/off switch.

This may sound silly, but which S308 mags accept stripper clips as a way to reload them?

Can you explain the handguard please? Like what type and how you modded it (if you had to).

For those with stocks that fold to the left side, does the folder lock completely with the side optics rail attached? I'm thinking about getting an ace folder and cutting my fixed stock as per another thread in this section, but am unsure how the ace folders, or folders in general are.

How is the lockup on these in both the folded and unfolded conditions? Is it dependent on the folding mechanism and not the stock?

Supposedly there's a rumor or heresay going around on the internet about a Micro Draco that is supposed to come out. Now I can't imagine it getting any smaller unless you change something with the receiver. Has anyone got any intel on that?

I have shot about 200 rounds from a pack I bought. Excellent quality and accuracy! Word is the Germans got rid of it because the little paper boxes the rounds were in were acidic. As in there was a small amount of ammonia in the paper used for the boxes that 'could' corrode the brass. From what I've seen, it just discolored it a bit. Take it out of the boxes, wipe the ammo off, and it should be good for long term storage without issue.

I have one of these (TRS-25) on my VZ 58 inbetween the front and rear sights and love it. Nice and light, precise enough for me. I haven't shot a lot with it yet, but hope to this summer. I really am digging it though.

WaffenShmied, Thank you very much for your insight, I hadn't thought of that. rightwingnut, That's good to hear and give me some hope. I think if I cut my barrel to that length I'd add another gas port myself.

I wonder, has anyone tested these lengths with the newer style gas plugs like the MD Arms plug and the auto-regulating one? I would think that with the MD Arms plug specifically (I know because I have one) you have many more options available to regulate gas for the gun.

Does someone know of a compromise muzzle device that reduces muzzle rise AND suppress flash? I haven't shot my 16" 308 in low light conditions, but I can only imagine how it'll spit flames.

I'm beginning to think that myself. It does work well with the surefire mags, though.

Is it just me, or is it really hard to insert AGP mags with the Rock n lock guide installed. The screw space in the polymer makes it very hard to insert the magazine with that guide installed. Is it me, or do I just need practice?
