  2. RCBS all the way Life time warranty. You break something call them up and they will replace it for free, best costumer service out there. I load everything with a single stage press. I have seen to many people screw up with progressive presses, I will not get one.
  3. all depends on the thickness of the plate. the 3/8" plate when I cut it using a oxygen/acetylene, I would make small cuts and then cool it with water so I wouldn't lose the hardness, it was the same with welding it you get it to hot and let it slowly cool down you will lose a little of the hardness. So when you weld it do about 1" then dump some water on it.
  4. All that means its approved my IPSC standards. I have worked with both metals at my job. You could get AR400 and AR500 steel plates put them side by side and shoot at them and you will see no difference. And a 338LM nothing special about that round, looked it up in my reloading manuals. And a AR in .223 cal will not even put a hole in 3/8" mild steel. AR400 steel plate 100' with my .308 didn't even dent it. 185gr. bullet, going by my book 2800fps
  5. You don't need AR500 waste of money, AR400 will do the same job. I made a target at a 100' my .308 wouldn't even dent it. http://s1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/Rottieman33/?action=view&current=001-12.jpg http://s1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/Rottieman33/?action=view&current=227272_1824310322682_1087961132_31800688_2644318_n.jpg

  7. They do look better in person. If I was going to buy gun for GF/wife it would be that instead of a pink gun.

  12. "The reason for HIGH-BRASS goes back to paper hulls. Paper hulls often produced pinhole burn-through(s) parallel to hull powder containment section. When the powder amount was higher than the brass section a burn through could occur. Magnum (additional powder height) paper shot shells were made with a higher brass head to protect against burn through. In those days of past it was not a gimmick but a necessity. I suspect ammo companies continue to use high brass because marketing surveys have told them customers associate high brass with power". I reload all my ammo and use all low brass for sl

  14. I use my reloads of bird shot #8 1 1/8 ounce load thats like 400+ pellets coming at you at a speed of 1479 FPS. And at 10-20 feet your dead because the average hight of a person is 5-6 feet so your going to either get it in the head or the neck or both.
