  1. as of now, it only means that D.C. has to allow pistols... and they will be appealing the decision. it will only effect the rest of us if it is appealed to the SCOTUS, and they agree that the 2A is an individual right as opposed to a collective or state's right. really, in essence, it's just a glimmer of hope (but more of a glimmer than we have seen in years) keep your fingers crossed that the SCOTUS hears the case and agrees with this appellate court decision.
  2. no perm. pins on the .308 and the regular pins push out right to left.
  3. first: yep, it's fine with .308win. second: they say both .308-1 and 100 series. hmmmmm 308-1 is the model you want, the 100 series is the one you dont, as you know. i'd say the safe thing would be to verify that the receiver is not plastic clad when you call to order.
  4. meh, who needs checks and balances? the framers of the constitution just put that part in for shits and grins.
  5. You GOT a score of 11 out of 11 You rating: Only 3 people have ever scored this high yep, the 3 people thing is bogus.
  6. go with the .308, there are lots of x39 ak's.
  7. Yeah, the Indian stuff is crap. You could get alot of it cheap and if you ever saw it you would know why, dented cases, bullets seated crooked, stuff like that. It is not worth the chance of having it blow at, least for me. I bought 6K of Malasyian linked 7.62x51mm, came in 4 round links. They removed the 5th tracer round, I bought it for my M-60. this is new very clean mil-spec ammo. I don't know if it is still available. It came 180 rounds per brand new 308 military ammo cans. still even has the safety wire on the can. It was $26 a can. Good stuff. india and pakistan are two differen
  8. Gun Nut You are 96% of a gun nut! You are a true gun nut. To you, guns are a part of life, all day, every day. They'll take your guns....from your cold, dead hands.
  9. not sure which logo is on the s-12 mags... i prob'ly can't do it as a regularly offered item, due to copyright issues, but i'll do it as a one-off for ya. pm me with a pic. I'm looking into it as we speak.. i'd have to outsource it, so i'm trying to find the best price/hassle ratio. probably, but i don't have a s-12, just rifles. got a picture?
  10. yeah, i just ate a big bowl of chili, and then sat down to take a big steaming zumbo.
  11. not my find. Accurizer posted it over on the AKFiles, but i figured it was worth spreading around.
  12. from here So I sit and write and ponder, while the house is deaf and dumb. Seeing visions over yonder of the war I know must come. In the corner-not a vision -but a sign of coming days, stands a box of ammunition, and a rifle in green baize. And in this, the living present, let the word go through the land. Every tradesman, clerk and peasant, should have these two things at hand. No, no ranting song is needed, and no meeting, flag or fuss -In the future, still unheeded, shall the Spirit come to us. Without feathers, drum or riot, on the day that is to be. We s
  13. correct, swapping us for other us is fine. swapping out a foreign for a us is fine replacing a us with a foreign is where the possibility of trouble arises.
  14. lol, cobra, i was going to say that exact thing, but then i said to myself, "nahhhh, that can't be it." btw, i did the same thing when i was playing around with my 1st AK
  15. wow, if that carry handle is $130, i'd definitely say you could do without it!
  16. I've been wondering how to take the gas piston off. Is it pinned, crimped or just screwed really tight? screwed and pinned.
  17. you could try one of the places that gets izhmash factory stuff, like rusmilitary. but really, i think you're SOL.
  18. and just to confuse things further, a US gas piston is an easy way to have a purdy foreign PG.
