  1. I've been catching up or re-watching older TV shows lately. I just finished the 4th season of "Castle", so now I'm caught up. The down side to that is... now I have to wait 'till September for the next one. Besides the old shows: Mythbusters Cities of the Underworld Lost Girl Any auto racing except NAS-Crap *waiting for the new episodes of... Castle Grimm Once Upon a Time Sanctuary
  2. "Powdered" black powder?! As opposed to... As opposed to.....granulated. You know....how it comes? That was a joke, I say, that was a joke, son! I reload, so I'm quite familiar with grains, flakes and granuals. I was just pointing out the irony of "powdered powder."
  3. "Adequate" supplies vary wildly per individual. Some folks have 200 rounds per caliber and that's fine for them, others have 3k rounds per caliber and are in a complete panic. Your call.
  4. That was interesting. I read the article linked from that one, and I was pretty shocked/surprised that the author recommended rather strongly against any 1911-style gun. I had not heard they had so many maintenence issues. Not sure what factors he's referring to as "rough duty", since I've heard many spec-ops troops are using them now. I'm not an LEO and don't have any military experience, so I'm sure I'm not anywhere near "rough duty" on any of my guns. I have been thinking about selling my Springfield V-10 .45 and getting something else. It is heavy, and the compensators foul the front s
  5. Yeah, go easy with it! My Dad and sister both had heart surgery. Give it at least two months, then try some 22's. Wait a day or two and see how it feels. Make sure you cab shoot lots of 22's with no ill effects before you try the heavy stuff.
  6. I've heard from other people that in their cars (not a Jeep), they had to put the car seat in the middle facing the other direction from the two on the sides. Their kids were the right ages they could do that. Just a suggestion, if you have a lot of trouble with 3 car seats in the back of anything.
  7. With the tunnel down the middle, doesn't the H1 only seat 4?
  8. It's easier to get in the back seats of my Mustang than it is to get in those back seats! If he is going to have 3 baby seats to wrestle with, any 2-door vehicle is NOT going to work! I used to have a 2-dr. Tahoe and loved it, a 4-door would be good to check out.
  9. The CO shooter had NO criminal or mental treatment history and would have passed any kind of background check they could think of. He'd like to "reward the states that provide the most data on gun owners"?! NO THANK YOU!
  10. Funny how "stupid" and "pain" seem to happen at about the same time so often. Sure looked like a fun day at the range!
  11. Nice! My Saiga and my Mustang are both "Finally Done! (Almost)!" Constantly!
  12. Well alrighty then. Did you offer to hose down the range first, so as not to start a fire?
  13. IF I survived the first month, I might do okay... I know for darn sure I couldn't build a cabin like that, though. Maybe 20 years ago.
  14. Well we already know that, we're discussing sam-squanch and aliens here! Try to stay on topic, okay?
  15. Today a Ford F250 pickup truck in Texas crashed while carrying 23 people. There were 14 fatalities. (2 more than in the shootings.) When are we going to BAN these evil pickup trucks?!
  16. They should re-do Destination Truth, and replace Josh with Jeremy Wade (River Monsters)! Jeremy usually spends 10-14 DAYS around the location, and almost ALWAYS catches what he's after! (He obviously has a much better budget, too.) Now... What kind of bait or lure would you use?! I think his tackle should work okay, since he can haul in a 400 lb. shark with it!
  17. That's cool. Just that I haven't seen that many. I do know that Mother Nature is very efficient, and carcasses don't last long, generally.
  18. I believe a lot of things are "possible"... Are they "probable"? I have read and seen too many reports of Bigfoot and all his relatives to believe they are ALL wrong. As for finding a skeleton... I know for a fact that whitetail deer exist because I've seen many and shot a couple, but I've never found a skeleton of one of them, either. Same with ghosts... too many instances of strange things happening, a couple of which I've seen myself. "There's something happening here. What it is, ain't exactly clear."
