  1. I third the crossbreed super tuck. great holster. I can wear a t-shirt and even my CFO can't tell, most of the time.
  2. I have a Springfield XD in .40, never had a ftf, fte, misfire or anything wrong. Even dropped it in the mud (by accident), blew out the barrel and it shot fine. Have about 5k rounds through her now, shes bout 1 year old. I just don't like how glocks shoot for me, great gun, just not for me. I am planning on going and buying another XD in 40, I like to have multiples of the same. Don't like change much. I have no doubt that most anything I carry, be it a 9, 40, 45, will stop any attacker. It's not really the caliber, it's more about where I am going to place those 8-10 rounds in
  3. If its any consolation, my wife and I have been going through the shit lately as well, and she is like 2 days from giving birth. Her family is off their rockers. If you live anywhere around the Sacramento California area, I will come pick you up and take you to one of our secret spots to go shoot. I'll even bring some shit we can blow up. hit me up on a PM if you are. and no, I am not 400 lbs of naked white old man sitting online trying to pick up boys online.....
  4. I have a couple of questions. I converted my S12 by myself and she runs like a raped ape now. Last shoot I kind of spaced changing the gas setting (stock gas system), and we were shooting clay's with low powered loads. When I took the gun with a fresh mag I checked it and she was still on setting 1, shootin' low powered stuff with no issues. So I am totally happy with her. So, on to my questions. I used ATI's Scorpion grip and the 6 position collapsible stock on the S12. Love it and want to use it on my 7.62. the main question I have is about ATI's forward hand guard. Has
  5. Wow, some place that's actually worse than Kalifornia....
  6. Sounds like you can hear at least 2 bones breaking on impact.
  7. shit, early release starts in 3 days. I am going to the store today, to buy a new monitor to hook my Alienware up to, I'm down to play. Screen name is SCUMBAG
  8. I only fly fish, used to fish normally rod and reel but get bored to easy. The fly and whats involved always keeps me on my toes.
  9. I saw one last night that said "Arms are for hugging" Had a very small pic of an AK with a red circle around it. the dude driving looked like your standard issue hippy.
  10. Just curious. is there an advantage to having a vented Gas tube? or is it just for looks?
  11. One of the Comments: Jaybird San Francisco Plant a garden instead. It is far more productive, soothing to the gardener, and healthier for everyone, everywhere. God dammit, what the fuck is wrong with people from California? I can't be alone in this state.... am I?
  12. In MA a shotgun has a hi-cap mag if it is larger than 5 rounds, are you sure that 10 is ok? I would check, because our ban is based off the federal and if Cali followed that in anyway you may be out of compliance Edit: so I just read up on the Cali stuff (simple google search) AND mag limit in Cali is only for hunting, which is 3. BUT, you cannot have a folding/collapsible stock AND pistol grip at the same time, so if yours does collapse, you are in fact out of compliance And the Cali legal code for good measure "The term “assault weapon” also means any firearm that falls under one of the
  13. Who can't? People in Cali? I live in Cali, and mine is perfectly legal. 10 round mags, pistol grip I just can't have hi cap mags. oh well.
  14. so other than not being able to have hi cap magazine and the "bullet button" how does my S12 differ from others? I am in the process of converting my Saiga 7.62, which will look almost identical (the front handguard will be more AK style). I will post pics when I am done. I saw these pictures and cringed, I think most of those are from the month after the ban. Nobody had come up with a method around the AWB yet.

    fte issues

When I first got mine, the first 400 rounds were 00 and slugs only, didn't try anything else. then I started using some other lighter loads at setting 2, converted, and now she will spit out anything I put through, even the light clay target loads from last weekend. I had a blast shooting clays, if I missed one, I still had 9 tries to get it. When on target, I was shooting pieces of the hit clay 4 times before it would hit the ground. get her back to stock and use only heavy loads for a while. I can't comment on the AGP mag, other than the SGM I have works flawlessly.

How many rounds have you shot through it?
  17. I really can't say, I have not shot another S12, they seem to be rare in my neck of the woods. I can tell you that compared to my buddy's Benneli, this S12 is a kitten. I can't shoot his for long, the recoil kills my shoulder. I have shot mine all day long and still want more, with no issues. So, it works for me.

    fte issues

I have had my S12 now for 4 months. I have put about 2000 rounds through it. no gas mods, no fancy springs, no polishing, and I even learned how to load on a closed bolt (thanks whoever posted that vid). I did check my gas ports and they are good, I also make sure they are clear every now and then. with all that said, this last weekend we went shootin', I was adjusting the gas from 1 to 2 and somewhere along the way I kind of forgot about it. My friend was shooting clays with clay loads, and I asked to see it when he was done, I was amazed to find it on setting 1 and no FTE. for 6 h
  19. I've got it and it is awesome. I haven't shot a S12 with a different grip so opinion is slightly biased. recoil on heavy loads seems light'ish. All I shoot is heavy shit (buck and slugs). install is super easy and it is really solid. here's a pic My wife got me a Saiga 7.62 for fathers day and I will be buying the AK kit with same stock, grip and the hand guard (AK specific).
  20. count me in as one who loves my job/s. It can be stressful at times but, I am well compensated, have amazing health coverage, get lot's of benefits, etc. As Syndicate said, three years ago when I came to this company was a trip. I was so used to liars, cheats and people trying to knock you out of your position, this place took a little getting used too. I love the company I own also, I make bank on not doing shit, my crew does everything now. I just deposit checks and pay them. It's a lovely deal.
  21. That's a sweet video. I don't think they could have found cheesier music though. I bought a Saiga because it is the baddest looking shotty ever. Every where I go and shoot, people come up to me and are like what the fuck is that? then I show them her in all her awesomeness, and people drool.
  22. As much as I hate to say it, I only have the stock 5 round and 1 10 round SGM. Been busy spending on my new saiga 7.62.... I have hurled about 1500 rounds through the SGM, no issues. I really only shoot 2 3/4, except for some special shot in 3" my buddy had. it hasn't broke yet and the feeder part of it is not dinged up at all. I fire mostly heavy loads. I didn't look at it closely when I bought it, too busy loading it to pay attention to it.
  23. Umm, what's your point with this? I was referring to theme and tone in this thread being 'guys without guns are girly,' which in turn insinuates that 'guys with guns are more manly,' and pointing that out as an obvious fallacy. So are you agreeing with me or just misunderstanding the thread? I didn't read ever that guys without guns are girly.. I did however get the tone that guys who consider themselves "bronies" are fucked up in the head. people like this will never be allowed around my children. If I found out one of these fucksticks was my sons teacher, you better believe
  24. We have a plan and supplies to last long enough. We have (like others) a place to go, where many of us will be if anything ever happens. we all have many different skills and the place is out far enough to be able to defend effectively. Only a couple of us have been in the military, but all of us have seen what a lot of people would call combat. We are all alive, so no sideways glock shooters on our team. There is a defense plan, I would not want to be the person trying to get our stuff. IMO, not being prepared is very sheepish, and I am by no means a sheep.
  25. Im on: themalibucrew.com (cause I have a malibu boat) ford-trucks.com (I have a 56 F100 I am restoring) CalCCW (should be obvious) KTMforums.com (for the bike) and here. my forum usage usually follows current hobbies and interests. Usually when I start to get hooked on something I will find a forum and join it, like I did here. Now I have two saiga's and still will hang out in the forum, always looking for new ideas.
