  1. The problem is, AK and AR fights never isolate variables. Which AK? Which AR? Different brands are different. Which ammo maker? The same? Different? Different ammo brands are different. Which shooter? The same? Others? Different shooters are different. Conditions? The same? Different? All I can say is that, in general, based on commonly available ammo types, and typical sources of firearms, and typical sights and triggers and fit and finish and tolerances, that an AR is USUALLY a tighter toleranced rifle with better accessories and better ammo, and will shoot somewhat more accura
  2. What I miss, and it's shown even in this thread, is tolerance for other's views. Some people think that whites should stick with whites, and blacks should stick with blacks, etc, etc. 50 years ago, everyone thought this way, but nowadays, if you don't endorse the latest trendy taboo breaking, you're backward, prejudiced, bigoted, or whatever word the progressives can come up with to smear those who don't like their latest thing. Mark my words, relationships with farm animals are next. I find it hypocritical in the extreme that people DEMAND that others accept their beliefs while totall
  3. Graduated from grad school on Saturday, saw the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, went to the cemetery on Monday.
  4. One of the greatest truths I learned is that a white woman attracted to non-white men, is a woman you don't want.
  5. I miss the early days of the internet, when there was nobody above 30 on it, and you could say what you wanted, without the government or some 50 year old keyboard commando moderator getting butthurt. I miss when people could either work for a living, or do without. I miss the public perception that if you didn't hold down a job and provide for you and yours, that you were worthless. I miss the days before political correctness. Giving someone something because of the color of their skin is wrong, no matter what. I miss carburetors.
  6. Whose reloads? Yours? Or someone else's? If the gun is as it is, and it was your reloads, check your methods and equipment and materials. Other people's reloads....don't shoot them.
  7. I have one on my Colt right now. From a rest, I put an entire 30 round mag into the black of a 100 yard NRA rifle target that I had set up at 50 yards. Every round. One burst. Does it waste ammo, make the gun damn hot, and wear stuff out? Of course. Could it stop a truck bearing down on you? Probably.
  8. I am not sure when the USA became obligated to furnish the Afghans with equipment. In fact, I am sure we are NOT obligated to do that. I also am sure that I do not respect the Afghans, so they are right on that point.
  9. My bs meter pegged on the "it's for military but I'll sell YOU one" also, it sounds a bit like you're trying to sell them.
  10. Thanks, Sharkbit. I failed to look at the second two pics since they didn't open. Pretty easy to see the distinctive head in the second shot.
  11. Mad props on the shark. That is bad ass. What kind of shark is it? As a Florida native, a couple things. Wild boar is what yuppies call them. The term is "hog." "Boar" is a gender of the hog, sow is the other. Pig is an acceptable substitute for hog. Proper use: We went pig hunting this morning. <How'd you do?> I shot two boar hogs and a sow. Yes, I know wikipedia calls them wild boar, but the people who use wikipedia aren't the ones who shoot them. Second, a hog is not a trophy animal in Florida, or elsewhere. Now, if you get a big one, sure, mount those tusks on a plaque
  12. Just for historical accuracy, Juggernaut's flag is not based on the "Stars and Bars", it is based on the "Army of Northern Virginia" Battle Flag designed by Gen. P. G. T Beauregard, just one of the Battle Flags used by the South. this is the "Stars and Bars" As for the original question, I probably wouldn't wear it out of respect for my family members who fought and died for the south. I wouldn't wear it. Then again, I probably wouldn't buy any shirt, so it doesn't really matter. The above post is correct, sort of. The rectangular flag was Forrest's and the Confederate
  13. I don't name mine. They are referred to by brand, then model if needed, then maybe barrel length or something if needed to tell them apart.
  14. I think many people are horrible in all generations. I've seen worthless retirees (which isn't an accurate term as they never held a job) and genius kids that will conquer the world. I've seen slacker kids living off of momma's dime, and old gentlemen who maintain squared away homes, go to church, and golf, but 70 years ago stormed machine guns for our future. A good receptionist is essential. You don't pass the waiting room door into the office unless the receptionist approves. That works for professional offices, not sure how a tattoo parlor would do that due to space and overhead.
  15. Does anyone else think that tetowakiki acronym is really silly?
  16. Sometimes, there isn't time to wait for someone to do something before you judge them. It's better to make a wrong assumption now and apologize later, than be naive and dead.
  17. Chile, don't stop if you run into a mob. Just keep the rig at 10MPH...plenty of time to get out of the way, plenty of momentum to run over those that don't.
