Interchangeability of VEPR 12 and SAIGA 12 030 Magazines
SGM replied to doodi1's topic in SGM Tactical
We did 1 production run on the Legion magazines based on a shotgun that Legion sent us. Then Legion changed the way they modify the shotguns, they used a different lrbho lever and tweaked a few things. This magazine was made way before the Veprs were even in the country. The mag will lock in and sometimes function in the Vepr however the reliability is suspect, some Vepr shotguns will not even function with this magazine. If you look at the different models of the Legion shotguns they call them all 030's however there are 433, 433A's and some other model. We have not produced the Legion mag in -
The coming Ammo price crash
SGM replied to jerry52's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
It will take 1-2 years before anyone sees even a 10% drop in price, and that may be the pricing for a longer period of time. If what the Op's contact were true and since Jan. they have tripled production the ammo would be here by now. It only takes 2 1/2-3 weeks for shipments from Russia to get here. I am just speculating on pricing and shortage times based on conversations I have had with ammo importers and largest ammo importer in the U.S. -
Captain Hero raised a good question, if the mag is loaded and inserted in the shotgun with bolt closed it is continually applying upward pressure on the bottom of the bolt.

We will be happy to replace any and all magazines that need to have a warranty issue addressed. I know it is hard to believe but the firearms vary (hell one guy on here couldn't even use our mags because the mag well was so out of spec on the shotgun also he could only use the factory mag that came with the gun) and our mags are from a brand new mold so they are basically identical. Unlike other companies we do not attempt to simply copy other companies products that is simply wrong and not ethical. Does everyone know that the coveted factory mags are not all identical and are actually fitted

The VEPR barrel that K-Var imported is turned down to be threaded in 14x1mm LH
-
We haven't changed a thing

are you talking about the factory mags or our 10&12 round mags? the factories i would think so, our mags i believe they will insert and function but they have alot of side to side play/slop and i don't think the last round bolt hold open works. we haven't tested them in the 030 models. I do know the 030 models have a longer bho lever and our mags sit at a different angle in the gun beyond that I don't know.
-
Yes the mags are meant to be installed on a open bolt.

We just launched our new site, let me know what you think.

I messed with one at Shot Show.....

The quad rail we offer doesnt block the sights on the rifles.

From what I understand Mach 1 is including 2 mags for the purchase. I know the paperwork I saw from other companies listed 1 mag with the shotgun. I doubt the factory is going to make new owners manuals to reflect 1 mag. As for Wolf's website is an obvious typo because Molot doesnt even make a 10 round shotgun magazine. The 1 five round and 1 ten round mag is for the rifles not the shotguns. Kerry is not the owner of Mach 1, but he is one hell of a guy.

i have no idea what hte ultimak gas tube rail looks like or how it mounts. our upper rail attaches to our lower hand guard. almost anything is lighter than the robarm forearm lol.
-
As asked above, did you install a different trigger? I watched both videos and perhaps those were not good examples of FTE's because other than you engaging the safety on the first shot in the second video the shotgun seemed to function on all shots fired.
-
no they will be made in Korea and will be later in the year.
-
standard AK thread pattern is 14x1 left hand
-
We are shipping them now. I believe Centerfire has them listed for sale right now, but the usual suspects will have them. Carolina, Atlantic, MAA etc...
-
if you plan on using a scope you can use our quad rail, just order the vepr tri-rail and a shotgun upper rail. then you are good to go. That will cover most of the upper gas tube. That is what is on this vepr rifle.

The only caliber that is being made for the glock drum in Korea is the 9mm.

I am sorry if you feel I am coming off as a jerk, I am only trying to let people know we are more than happy to take care of the problem for them. It seems some people do not read other threads that have in them the same replies from us on multiple threads. I believe there are about 10 threads that have addressed the issue multiple times, and some people just don't see them. We have no other way to say why some people have issues with the mags and why others don't but I have seen and used the same mag in one shotgun and it fits fine (new out of the wrap) then I put the same mag in a different
