I was admiring those CSSPEC's too. If they came to market for the Vepr's, I would definitely have to invest in a steel magwell.

I've tested 4 10 rounders with high and low brass. Out of 300+ rounds I only got 2 FTE out of the low brass federal bulk pack, but I had the stock folded and was only supporting the gun with my hands, so I don't blame the mags. I've only had 2 issues with the LRBHO not working on them with the low brass, but my factory 5 rounder has never activated the LRBHO with low brass for some reason. I have not had one single issue with that on my factory 8's.

I haven't had any issues with mine. I think they are worth buying a couple to have on hand given they're less than half the cost of factories, but I'd definitely get some factories.

This fits as long as you get a new gas tube and a lower retaining bracket http://www.k-var.com/shop/AK-404BUS.html. I know css sells the springs and the bolt on bracket, I think you need a 74 style gas tube

Strange, the only mag out of the 4 SGM 10's and 4 factory 8's I have that consistently doesn't activate the LRBHO is the 5 rounder that came with the gun.

I had to round the edges of my hand guard with a file where it makes contact with the gas tube, and lube the crap out of it. Then put the hand guard in a vise (wrap it with something so it doesn't mar) and rotate the gas tube with a wrench.

the 10 slot flash hider I got has a bigger internal diam than the inside of the barrel, I can't speak for all, but I wouldn't think there would be an issue with most flash hiders.

I vised the gun and drilled with a drill press, then put the tap in the drill press and hand turned it so it was exactly in line with the hole. Had to loosen the drill press belt and spring to make it turn easier.

The bonesteel is very sturdy. The one I have does not lock in place when folded, but is held in place very tightly with spring tension so it can be quickly deployed with the flick of your wrist.

One can only hope, but I'm sure they have to compensate for some sort of jacked up firearms related import fees. I could only swing 2 right now without getting an earful from the wife. Looks like these should be in pretty regularly now so I can pick up a couple more later.

That front rivet is long by design, I wouldn't go messing with it. It keeps the bolt carrier from moving upwards and I imagine helps prevent breakage from possible deflection.

the saftey on the Vepr 12 sucks, it digs into your hand (but I guess it wouldn't if your a lefty) Regardless, I don't think any factory parts are available for this gun, and no one that I have seen makes an aftermarket Safety lever for it.
