The Big Deal About TX Open Carry
Skoodge replied to XD45's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Colorado allows open carry without a permit as well, minus the city of Denver. CC required a permit. Who knows how long it will last with our current pos governor. -
Best gun safe?
Skoodge replied to corbin's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Might I ask what the price point is on something like that? -
Someone needs to make a shirt that says: "Impossible! It's a religion of peace!" I take one of those.

Bill Burr is a comedian, but this does make some sense in this case. (Can someone imbed this for me if it doesn't work, thanks) ETA: I can't find a clip of just that skit in his act; but essentially, middle of the night, a 22 isn't going to deafen or blind you with muzzle flash. If you're so enclined, it's at 1:01:00 of his stand-up special

I do believe said thread is called the Random Picture Thread, not the hot women thread. How can you be angry with her random pictures in a random picture thread. I recommend the "Eye Bleach" thread on the AKfiles if you want a thread with 90% hot women. Edit: If his/her posts were throwing legitimate thread of topic that's a different story. I haven't seen much of that.

K-Var has a VERY LIMITED supply left of Arsenal’s SLR-104UR’s!
Skoodge replied to k-var Corp's topic in K-Var Corp
Hi, what's the reason you can't sell these to Colorado? Is it the 30 round magazine that comes with it? Is there anyway you can disassemble the magazine and ship it as a kit, or even just take the magazine out and ship just the gun? -
Yeah, the brake is a little big, but I don't think it's too long. Maybe if you had the 21" barrel, I'd say a chop and perm would be the way to go. I hope that picture helps a little, not the best lighting at the moment.

I have a vepr-12 with the CSS GK-01 and a Romanian dong hand guard, it's a side folder so I can't change the stock (easily at least), and I haven't had a chance to get a wood grip yet. But it may give you a little bit of an idea of what it looks like. I'll post a pick later tonight.

Gun rack decal!
Skoodge replied to patriot's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
There is a guy on the akfiles that has some AK style gun decals, but they're smaller. They're about 4-6 inches long, but he can do custom sizes. He made me a Vepr12 decal that's pretty cool. Search "bumper stickers" and/or "custom decals" for his threads. -
There is a vepr 12 with a chopped and permed gk01in the for sale/trade forum. Pics included. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/96058-wtt-vepr-12-for-sam7-k-pistol/

Beretta Nano...????
Skoodge replied to SmilinEd's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
I quite like my Sig p938. SAO, 6+1 or 7+1 with extended mag. Only thing is the price is a little higher, $600-ish with $40+ mags. -
I second the Wally world suprema ammo. No problems for me as of yet. Plus, the ones at my WalMart are 1315fps.
-
I have also heard hand racking your gun a few hundred times can get similar break-in results. And its cheaper.

I think most people here would recommend the normal Saiga procedure. That is start with reducing any friction in the bolt, carrier, reciever area first. See how that affects cyclying. The make more major mods if still needed. I would say, make sure your loads are 3 dram, about 1225 fps, or more. I usually go for 3 1/4 dram, 1255 fps, and haven't had any issues.
