Not sure if this is what you mean, but theres a ton of wood AK grips that (I think) would fit S12 with minimal mods. Theres the laminated Russian type: Hungarian AMD: Romanian: "Fat" grip (I think they're Chinese?): Yugo M76: And of course, Ironwood Designs makes all sorts of nice repros too. Hope this helps.

Ok we've had our fun with the newb. Back to shotguns. I tried a laser when I first got my S12. Did not end up being as useful as I'd hoped. Flashlight does more or less the same job within practical engagement range (especially for HD) and provides illumination to boot. I personally don't think a red-dot is warranted on a shotgun as the "point and shoot" nature of the weapon is already geared towards rapid acquisition and engagement (oper8or buzzwords!), but thats just my opinion. If you've just got to have a red-dot, I would at least try to find another way to mount it, as the rail syst

Believe the policy was against STUDENTS wearing military uniforms, not servicemen. Educators have become so terrified of violating policy that they have a nasty habit of strictly adhering to what they perceive as "da rulez" even if it contradicts common sense. See: lego guns, pop-tart guns, contraband advil, banned camo, etc. -
Just FYI, ~130dB is roughly as loud as a jet engine, and is above the pain threshold. Also video is completely meaningless for evaluating suppression since camera microphones are not capable of recording audio spikes over a certain range. That and if you notice, all of Silencerco's videos have their cans making that "pew-pew" noise which is totally unrealistic on any centerfire suppressor. That being said, suppressors are cool. But I still wear plugs with everything other than rimfire for comfort and safety. I would not want to shoot a suppressed .50 BMG…….That would be a shoul

The love-interest sub-plot ruined the film. It doesn't make sense and simply does not belong in the movie. The first 30-40 minutes is awesome! All goes downhill once the woman is introduced. -

Lighten up guys. -
The Chaos irons will be considerably lower than any other rail-mounted irons you will find. AR-height irons will be pretty tall, which is sorta unnecessary on this platform. Typically, a longer sight radius is preferred so most folks mount their sights as far apart as possible. Only exception is that some people like a ghost ring aperture to be a little farther forward.

Welcome to the headache-inducing world of home firearms modification. This disease is typically infectious, progressive, and incurable.

Guess they've never been in the woods when its cold out. -
Nope, they actually do work. Great non-NFA suppression if you're ok with adding three feet to your barrel length. http://www.metrogun.com/

Perhaps I missed it somewhere in the body of text but I'm not reading this as being applicable only in California. https://beta.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-bill/5344/text Also the linked page on Recoil web states: Yet HR5344 clearly states: Am I the only person who actually reads this stuff? -

Well, that is odd. So your barrel is slightly undersized? Not sure how to fix something that small, off the top of my head you could maybe: 1) remove material from the split portion of the FSB so it could tighten further? 2) use something like metal tape as a shim? 3) knurl the barrel to slightly increase diameter? 4) have your FSB welded in place? (I had Leland at Sierra Ordnace Company do this to mine.) These are just ideas I'm spitballing, I don't know how to correct your issue. Maybe Krebs could even make you an FSB with a slightly smaller diameter. Either way, good luck. Let us k

You're talking about this thing right? Are you asking for the barrel diameter? Mine measures 0.885" just behind where its mounted. There should be more than enough play to allow for a 0.004" size difference, I can't imagine why yours did not fit. What screws did you strip, the ones on the bottom? Are they not long enough to engage or something? Did Krebs tell you why it would not fit? Confused.

You guys... *sigh* I miss talking about Saigas, AKs, and other firearms. This forum is all doom, TEOTWAKI, paranoia, and tin foil these days. -
Matt, You're using a double-feed mag loader to forcefully shove rounds into your single-feed zytel mag. While I'm sure it works due to the flexible nature of the plastic construction, those mags are well known for having wear issues on the feedlips and I'm 100% certain that if you continue to load them like that they will eventually cease to retain the rounds. And as to the M11/drum conversion, it is very do-able but theres alot of tricky geometry involved to making the rounds transition through the sharp angles correctly. Heres an 18 page thread on the subject with links to a few others
