  1. I tried to polish a bolt carrier on one of my AK's, I could not get it bright with the Romainan metal, and I started to have rust issues. Now it has a Bulgy carrier that came with a nice bead blasted finish, looks bright and I have never had any issues with rust, I have no clue what the proccess is they used but I would love to have the same thing on my S12.

    Puck Scuz

And you might be a lil over gassed. I run one of those rubber buffers in mine due to some smushed metal starting up, it pretty much stopped once I put the buffer in there and tuned the gas down a bit.

    Puck Scuz

I have a gunfixer plug that has been slightly modded for my needs... I have gone through about 1k with out cleaning and it was still going, my puck and threads were pretty well stuck, I was impressed that my gun still worked with how tight the puck was. And I'm a huge fan of this stuff http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=20900/Product/C5_A_ANTI_SEIZE_LUBRICANT Its the same stuff that glock uses on the slide rails on brand new pistols. I use it on sparkplug threads, slide grease for carry guns, pressing barrels, lightly on the puck, and lots on the threads. I also use it on m
  4. Once in a while I find good deals, I bought my S12 before the election for a fair price at a gun show, and I was having a really hard time finding them. I keep hoping to find some of those good deals, I really want a second S12 to do a build with a magwell so I can have one that takes standard mags and one with modded mags, among other changes. I want a PMR30 but I'm waiting for them to go under $400 before I touch one. Seems most of the good gun deals are just at local dealers. Mostly I don't even bother with gun shows, I buy what I want online local, if there is a gun I must hav

    MY S12k

Looks converted to me, no 12k marks and it's marked 08 with a manual bolt hold open, from what I can make out anyways. And nice gun!
  6. yep a few threads around on it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z35tnq1GBVM bling bling AA should call that video.... Lord of the Mall Ninjas That is the "Hi, I'm over here" tacticool version and it doubles as a signaling device. Goobers.... just.... goobers. Wow, wtf Lets take the S12 and just flat out rip it off, and hey lets make our own mags that will cost a fortune to produce and heck even the nice stamped top cover, lets machine one and ensure it takes way to many passes to ever make it cheap/easy to produce... But hey it looks like something out of
  7. Once you get it unstuck buy a tube of this stuff: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=20900/Product/C5_A_ANTI_SEIZE_LUBRICANT I cleaned up the threads as best as I could with a dremel and a nylon wire wheel and then coat both the pin and the gas plug threads with it. I have never had a problem since. Stuff also works great on spark plug threads, pistol slide rails (does not attract much fuzz on my carry guns), AR-15 bolts ect.
  8. I use #4 buckshot 2 3/4 in a 10 rd mag loaded down to 8rds. if the first shot does not do the trick, I have 7 more as fast as I can pull the trigger.
  9. And I always try and smooth up what ever I can on every gun I own. On my S12 I have used 600/1000grit paper + a dremel felt wheel w/compound on anything I could Hammer, trigger hooks (and I run double hook for another reason...), detail stripped the bolt and rounded and cleaned off what I could including some rough machine marks in the two rotating halves, extractor is cleaned up where I thought it would help, I did what I could with the locking lugs... mostly I just cleaned up corners and wear marks. I took my dremel with felt wheel and compound into the chamber and worked it unti
  10. I put about 1k+ through my S12 with out any cleaning, and most of it was walmart fed bulk pack. It ran flawless through the whole thing, and it would sit for a week or two between about 4 different trips. When I finally decided to clean it the puck was stuck, I had to use a wooden dowel to even get it to move, and it still ran great like that too. After I pounded it out I had a nice turd that I was able to free. My gas plug was also stuck in there pretty damn good too, now I run it with copper anti-seize on the threads and it works like a charm (the stuff they use on new gloc
  11. How do you do a password retrieval/reset? I don't remember what I used and it won't let me create an account with the same email...
  12. I would be intrested in trying it my self, I would love to not have to change gas settings when going from lowbrass birdshot to slugs or buckshot in the middle of a 3gun stage. My gun worked flawless out of the box with everything except winchester VP. Currently I'm running the gunfixer plug to keep the gas flow down as my gun is a bit overgassed (factory), but heck I have never had a problem with it.
  13. I have a converted 3 port 08 19in that runs 3gun every month or so that's in.

    Dumb-Ass

Glad the store owner was not hurt. And this bad guy sounds like a real winner... I wonder what part of the whole plan sounded like a good idea... Girl friend gets put in jail, oh crap I don't have any money for bail and I have never heard of a credit card or a bondsman.... I know I'll head over to my buddies and borrow his shotgun... They need to lock this guy up for a long ass time. And whats really sad is the store owner gives up on his dream after this and leaves.
  15. brownells alumahyde II I have been thinking about doing my S12 in FDE to match my AR...
  16. I put mine on with JB weld worked like a charm, I have well over 4k through my shotgun I had an issue with my tapco saw grip... I ended filling the empty mounting space full before I stopped having issues with movment
  17. It replaced my 870 for three gun, and my AR-15 for 90% of the bunny hunting, and the AR-15 for HD.
  18. lol I have a tapco recoil pad on my MAA stock, it's a huge difference from the standard AK stock I was running. And a romy side folder on an S12... yeah, when you get something with a pad you will crap your pants on how smooth the gun is.
  19. I have the spring loaded one, I was wishing I bought the push button, but it does lockup very solid. Just a tip, lube it up well before you close it, mine wore part of the nub off and now it's hard to keep it folded... If I put a little lube on that nub It would of broken in with very little damage.
  20. IMO those clips holding the back cover on look like they are waiting to break... reminds me of some pos toys I had when I was a little hid for some reason.
  21. Can't wait to hear how they run. My self, I'll never give them a penny of my money ever again, I went sour on them years ago with an SKS mag.
  22. Run it till your sure it runs great and you can't stand waiting any longer for it to be in it's proper form.
