Would an auto plug work if you set it to vent off the majority of the gas? I suspect it would.

I already have the rear sight set up on a cover, but still need to get the front sight and have it attached. I'm inclined to have someone that's done it before mess with it rather than someone that just knows how to weld.

Welcome to the forum! Not sure what the laws are in NZ, but I'll leave that to you. I'm not familar with a barrel extension that screws on and acts as an actual barrel. Maybe someone else knows about them though. I think Tromix did an interchangeable barrel once, but I hear it was a pain to do and I don't think he'll be doing any more.

Avoid duct tape. RS mounts are my favorite.

Haven't heard any confirmation, but a couple reports I saw said the pistol was a non-firearm "gas gun". I think that's like one made to only fire blanks, but still kicks out a decent muzzle flash.

Doing the same for me. When I click on the picture icon, the screen goes slightly gray, and just stays there. Then when I try typing the IMG code in the brackets, it says "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." But eventually, if I try it several times, it usually will go through. It's nice to know it's not just my computer doing that. By the way, why do you have this thread in the 7.62x39 section? Shouldn't it be in the General Discussion area?

That's quite a lever gun. But where's the bipod, laser, nightvision, light, ammo carrier and bayonet mount? Actually, a Saiga 410 rebarreled to fire a "non-assault" caliber like 30-30, 44 mag, 45 Colt or 45-70 might be cool. As a Cowboy Action Shooter, I doubt it'd raise many eyebrows if I bought a bunch of 45 Colt rounds. LOL
