Since they outlawed them and they say that you have to turn them into the police or cut them up. I guess I’m just out of the 200.00 for something that was LEGAL when I got it

You all were warned something like this would happen.

This is the worst case scenario, especially because of the precedents it sets for further/future Presidential pen strokes outlawing firearms by decree.

Best case was the ATF simply retracting their earlier acceptance of such devices.

1. Infringement is infringement, plain and simple.

2. They are trying to take lawfully purchased property without compensation.

3. The Executive Branch doesn't have the power to do this. Neither does F-Troop, even though they've done this in the past.

4. The Supremes may shoot this down IF they follow the Constitution and do their job.

I'd rather take my time, but that's not the point here. The point is the steady erosion of our God-given Rights.

We may not see it during our lifetimes, but there will be another bloody fight for them sooner or later.

You know that at some point over the course of this holiday season, everyone still in possession of a bump stock probably uttered the words, "Now I have a machine gun, ho ho ho."

Then there are better things like DIAS, which you can make from a piece of sheet metal or wire....

I don't need full auto, and I am not going to be the test case, but I know how to make it in a matter of minutes that is loads better than any bump stock.

The beauty is that not only are there so many proper firearms out there already, that seizing them all would be impossible, but that whatever the dominant tech of war, the tools of making the tools are now modular, distributed and too numerous to track.

A sub gun can be made in a garage in a matter of hours.

A goodish subgun, could be made in dozens per hour with a couple days of setup and a few home grade CNC tools.

and firearms are not the most important component of armed resistance.

Autonomous sentries, and scouts, and even drones are already being made in the middle east from RC kits and home grade quad rotors.

There is open source software that turns computers and radios into ad hoc internet type comms with or without the grid. I have friends who use it for tracking forest fires, etc.

They've chosen to hold back the ocean by bailing with a bucket. Sooner or later, they will have to admit failure, and try to draw a new boundary line other than whether the public is armed. Someone who wants to be armed, will be anywhere in the world. It's a matter of time. The effort is going down and the effort of preventing it is going up.

The trend is that oppression becomes cost prohibitive if you cross any threshold that people are actually willing to resist. Can you imagine how much ingenuity would go into a civil war in America if such a thing were to happen? Every muffler shop would be an arms factory, and every old PC a potential server.

Gunfun, you are correct, however I believe that most American's are just to self-absorbed with themselves and social media to give a shit.  When they finally wake up, it will be too late.

As for myself, I couldn't give a shit about bump stocks.  But that's not the point. Never has been.

New Jersey banned magazines of greater than 10 rounds. Ban effective Dec.11, and NOT ONE MAG HAS BEEN TURNED IN!

Unenforceable laws are just that- UNENFORCEABLE .  The fact that they ARE unenforceable makes any Court that rules them legal look like IDIOTS!  This may be the downfall of many anti's. Blatantly STUPID behavior will lose them the support of those who have yet to be educated into idiocy.

The problem is if they ever find a magazine that holds 10+ rounds (after a house fire, for instance) and you are unfortunate enough to live in Joisy, you know that person is going to be used as an example for defying their stupid edict. 🙄

I bet Governor Murphy's security detail still gets to put 15+ round magazines into their handguns though. 🤬

Oh, you know that is true.  Everything filthy one of them had security spooks armed to the teeth.

Holy shit Gaddis, thought you were gone.  Hope you and yours had a great Christmas!

I see these RIDICULOUS laws as an attempt to impose undue pressure on  those that do not "cooperate" with LE and Prosecutors. A stand alone prosecution of this illegal statute would be a career killer for anyone stupid enough to waste Public moneys on it. If they threaten Prosecution (in secret, naturally) they can get you to plead to a LESSER crime (even if that one would never stand up in Court on it's own merit).

(FAIRFAX, VA) - The National Rifle Association today issued the following statement:

"In the aftermath of the evil and senseless attack in Las Vegas, the American people are looking for answers as to how future tragedies can be prevented.  Unfortunately, the first response from some politicians has been to call for more gun control.  Banning guns from law-abiding Americans based on the criminal act of a madman will do nothing to prevent future attacks.  This is a fact that has been proven time and again in countries across the world. In Las Vegas, reports indicate that certain devices were used to modify the firearms involved. Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law.  The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations.  In an increasingly dangerous world, the NRA remains focused on our mission: strengthening Americans' Second Amendment freedom to defend themselves, their families and their communities.  To that end, on behalf of our five million members across the country, we urge Congress to pass National Right-to-Carry reciprocity, which will allow law-abiding Americans to defend themselves and their families from acts of violence."

Not sure when that was released, it's not dated.

Threw the GOA another $50, as an anonymous lifetime member is matching all donations, dollar for dollar, until the end of the year.

Naw, I'm still here.  I just hate the new version of Linux I'm stuck with.  😒

They discontinued my beloved Rekonq browser in it.  Now if I search for porn, I have to deal with erasing 1,000 porn site cookies afterwards in FireFox. 😡

Anyway, hope your Christmas (and New Years (and everybody else's here)) was good too.

It wouldn't be that hard to do a "drop in" FA trigger pack either.
