BattleRifleG3 16
I believe homosexuality and any sex besides marriage is wrong. I also believe Jesus said that anyone who looks at someone lustfully has committed adultery in his heart. Point being it's not about what our sins are because we're all sinful, it's that we need Jesus, and need Him to change us. And if one doesn't believe in Jesus as God as described in the Bible, then I don't see the point of arguing sexuality on the basis of Scripture that the other person doesn't believe. In other words, I don't see the need to disagree with anyone about their sexual beliefs and choices any less respectfully than about their religious beliefs, because I believe they have everything to do with each other. I wouldn't argue against homosexuality any less respectfully than I would discuss with a Jew why I believe Jesus is the Messiah. On a completely different subject, I have a certain respect for homosexuals who stand for freedom enough not to buy the lies of the leftists who claim to be their party of choice. A majority of the homosexuals I know in person voted for Bush in '04. Folks with creative minds could make a good joke based on that one. RangerM9 1
it's all about being tollerant....we are all a bit different and what may be acceptable in one part fo thw rold is not in another. Similarly sexuality is an individual choice (or predetermination ...whatever...i'm not going into that discussion)......one of the principals of my job is the principal of autonomy, meaning we all have the right to make a decision on our own, and whether or not the rest of the world agrees or not doesn't matter, the decision is yours to make. I am impressed and humbled that you guys thought enough of us to share your choices in life, I for one am not bothered by your choice, and i support you in doing what is right for you.... It's not right for me, but that is my choice, and it is no more valid than your own, only more widely accepted by society. for anyone wondering my political views...i'm a centrist...and have been as long as i can remember.... Casp 119
Thank you guys for your support. All that said and done though, we should probably get this thread back on topic before it dies.
BobAsh 582
Well, IMO it is on topic. I started this thread so we could get to know each other, and I think it's working for better or worse. Of course, I don't want to endlessly discuss transgendered issues or religion either. doug01 3
I think Cobra was right on the money with his soapbox chat and agree and feel the same way on a lot of it. People need to open their minds and accept people for who they are. I have changed my way of thinking quite a bit in the last couple of years. My mother use to "preach" all the time about stuff. One day I said who is to say who is right. Kind of shut her up......for a while anyway. I had to take a religion class in college. I was impressed by the one teacher. He said simply, "believe what you believe but know why you believe it" Well to steer a little back on course.........my user name is obviouse. My name is Harold. BattleRifleG3 16
I shy away from using the term "tolerance" because it's one of those terms, like "liberal", which has been so twisted by agendas that its meaning is more a matter of context than being a word that helps define what a person's saying. I don't think we should look at religious beliefs as unimportant and we shouldn't be afraid to stand for what we believe is right. However we need to do that in a manner that recognizes such a thing as respectful disagreement. We also have to be consistent with what we believe and not emphasize one area in which we appear to be better than others. Our founding fathers didn't grant religious freedom for us to abandon religious beliefs, but to prevent government from interfering in our free practice of our faith. And this was not to say that there's no such thing as right and wrong, but that the role of government is limited to stopping people from harming each other and not to control people's personal moral choices. Not to say any of this in any particular order, but I think it's odd how some people will tell homosexuals to repent of their sin and not say the same thing to non-Christians living a heterosexual lifestyle, because everyone needs forgiveness. As to the question of "who am I to say what is right", I have this answer - I didn't make up what I believe, rather what I thought I knew was replaced by what I believe is the Truth. Yes this matters, and yes I believe you're incorrect if you don't believe this. If I thought you were correct, well, then I wouldn't believe what I do, would I? I think it's silly to take any personal offense when a person disagrees here. Why would you be personally offended if I believe you're sinning against a God who you don't believe in? And none of this nonsense that we all believe in the same God - that's its own religion called pluralism. Protestants, Catholics, and Christians who refuse to be categorized believe in the same God. If this isn't your god then you have a different religion which must be respected and respectfully disagreed with.

Bvamp 604
I gotta say I just love this place! you guys rule! (even if you wish/want to be a girl). cobra, like you said, mchalfwit would be all over this, but, like I said earlier, he wont be coming back. the russians never forgave the nazis, and Im sure that he is wise to avoid this place in the future because of it. we know where he lives, and if need be, he will get a visit from some unsavory people. thankfully it didnt come to that. it seems he cannot get around the bans we put in place, as he promised to do. I tihnk at this point, he gave up. anyway, I will say that intolerance is the way of the world. it causes so many fucking problems, it is unreal. our war with islamic extremists is a good example of intolerance for those that are not like you. it is unethical ,unfair, and against the greater good and the freedom of others. people should not fear to be themselves, even if it may be sinful or whatever. if that is you? do it. just be sure you do it for the right reasons, and not for others, is all I can tell you guys. this applies to everything in life, not just your sexual preferences. I myself, do not enjoy watching lesbians kissing in my creek in front of brother's children, and will openly say something about it when it happens, but I dont condone it, either at the same time. its not an easy stance to take, but it is the best that I can do. also, just the same as I wont toss you out for speaking your mind, or saying who you really are, I wont toss someone for disagreeing with you, either. this is the price of freedom of speech. it is uncompromiseable, much like how we all view our right to bear arms. (how that right is slowly stolen from us, and the others are so vehemently defended, is beyond me. If i ever come into a large amount of money, you will see me sueing congress over it. you can count on that one. the only legal way to take our guns in any form is to suspend our right completely. and that isnt going to happen. ) it is akin to mchalfwit. he has his beliefs, as do i, but to push and force them on others is not fair in the least. I guess this is what Im trying to say. and with that said, I think some damn pictures are in order! Ill even make a special thread for you girls! "gays with guns" hows that sound? hahah. that'd REALLY stir up some shit, I tell ya! might not go over so well, but hey, this forum is not about conformity, and it never has been. we are all free human beings, and should treat each other the same, as I stated. to do otherwise, well... its unamerican. do YOU all like the gun grabbers labeling YOU? how does that feel to be looked upon like some crazed violent person? feels good dont it? think about that the next time you pass judgement on someone that is not like you. that in itself is a sin, to judge others. that is for god to do. not you or me. this is called freedom. Tokageko 8
Wow.... I didn't log in for a week or so and... wow Just so you know, I got a great laugh out of all the jokes made here. If you want to see a GAY gun: Before you ask, it's not mine. lol I agree with Bvamp that this place is awesome. It never fails to keep me entertained. BRG3: There were plenty of jokes made offline about wanting bush in '04, but I couldn't come up with anything for right now. My favorite was the bumper sticker that said "Defeat Bush", with the "Def" crossed out in red. Doug1: lol BobAsh: I have other places to dicuss other things, that's where I go when I want to discuss them. It works. Bvamp: I'll see if I can't get a good picture of myself up here if you really want... To Everybody: That was the first and last time I was ever going to bring it up, as it had absolutely no relevance to anyone here. See reply to BobAsh. Edit: BTW - (tosses in her two cents) Though I understand the anger generated over certain things, there's no need to do any more than ignore negative responses. They just aren't worth the effort, and they dissipate more quickly that way. Edited October 11, 2006 by Tokageko
Bvamp 604
like I say very often, E Pluribus Unem, which means literally, From Many, One. just the same as you have your choice, like I said, so do others to have thier opinions. but it still takes all types to truely say that we are really free....however you want to enjoy your freedom is not for me or you or them to say. BobAsh 582
Tokage-chan, I'm not sure what your message to me means. I hope you didn't think that my statement "Of course, I don't want to endlessly discuss transgendered issues or religion either" was aimed at you. I was really talking to those people who chose to criticize. Bob
Tokageko 8
Ah, I shall clarify: I agree with you completely. I meant to say: When I want to discuss philosophy, I go to ephilosopher.com. If I want to discuss gender issues, I go to tgguide.com. When I want to discuss guns, I come here; there's no better place I've found. No worries. It's all good. Edit: I'm always glad to learn more about my fellow citizens as well. I was talking to a local gunsmith here about rifle refinishing and he told me that a guy came and had 2 AR 15's refinished in xmas red on 1 and xmas green on the other. His reson-could always see them on the range,if stolen they stand out like a sore thumb, and any frien/family could find his spot at the range.

(Considering the pic is titled "pimp-cetme" ) Just hink how BADASS you would look carrying that, as you stepped out of your Pimp-daddy-caddy at the local shootin range, with all your BLING, the big, wide purple hat with the long orange feather, and all that gold and fur?!??!? Time to get me a fo-ty!
Tokageko 8
I believe it is an actual gun. If it isn't, then someone did a very good photo-shop job on it. Believe it or not it's almost as funny as the picture of a stuffed money with a welding torch working on a CETME. Yes, the guys over at cetmerifle.com LOVE Century Arms. lol Oh, and the bARbie 15 would make a lot more sense if it had the tear-drop plunger and the three pronged flash-hider (it already has the triangular handguards). Then it REALLY could have been made by Matel. ... I'm such a gun-geek...
