Juggernaut 11,054
So what links were offensive, Rusmilitary or the guy bringing in the version 030? Z I'll type this slow so it's easier to understand.... Any link that is not listed here: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showforum=35 are not to be posted.. It is simply the way it is... DogMan 2,343
So back on the topic of the gun itself, does anybody see a downside to ordering this weapon? It's got a lot of nice features. I don't know anything about the guy importing them but I talked to him on the phone and he seems legit.
TX-Zen 287
I get running a private forum the way the owner sees fit is his business. I don't make the rules and don't care to. I don't get that something as huge as the version 030 can't be linked to simply because the vendor isn't on the list, despite the fact that this forum is called Saiga-12.com and is about all things Saiga. Are we so focused on enforcing rules for the sake of enforcing rules that possibly we are missing a much bigger event in the Saiga-12 world? I would have thought ensthusiastic forum members would have appreciated the chance to buy one while they could, rather than miss the chance because rules are rules. Bridis 319
A simple search of the internet should provide you with enough info to get yourself in on this fantastic opportunity.
frick 3
I don't know how fantastic of an opportunity it is. No high cap mags being imported, so you have to go the route of ordering from Europe, and hoping you get them, if you can, and frankly, the whole idea of changing to a new set of magazines when I am invested in the standard ones seems stupid. IF it had a standard magwell, MAYBE, as it is, I have no interest. BTW, 12 seconds to google search and find the needed link, you can't close Pandora's box once its been opened. If they start making US mags for the new LRBHO model can't you just modify them for the magwell like people often do already? Bridis 319
$1500 no way in hell...thats benelli m4 price...no way in hell... $1500.00 is nothing when you think about it. There are most likely less than 1,000 of these guns in the US. Because of the recent ATF ban, no more will be imported. This is your LAST chance to own an original Saiga shotgun in this factory configuration. The $1500.00 isn't just buying the gun, it's buying the opportunity. BTW, I'm also in line for one. Fallschirmjager667 729
there was never an ATF ban and that isn't in the factory configuration. after getting fucked in the ass for $1500 i don't think i could walk to the range....

elvis christ 451
I've got no beef with those guns, I wouldn't pay $1500 for one, no way. I don't want a magwell, or the mags, and you can get an S-12 done up like that, converted, with wood furniture, for less than that. Also, I wonder how much this particular model had to do with the recent ATF shotgun fiasco. I can't see why it would have anything to do with it, but I know that the ATF won't allow these particular Saiga 12's to be imported after this, and wonder what other kind of heat that has brought on the entire platform. I can see the appeal from a collectors' perspective, but I'm not a collector, really, so the fact that there's only 1000 or so coming in doesn't really excite me. It's neat and all, just not something I'm interested in. Just some thoughts on my part.

It would cost me more to do it myself or find a smith. Edited February 18, 2011 by Koljec
TX-Zen 287
There's only 200 coming over FYI What $1500 has to do with a Benelli I don't know. Two different shotguns for two different kinds of shooters...apples and oranges. Z

I've read everything about the recent study and haven't heard anything about a ban, not yet anyway. Because RedDragun had a sitdown with the ATF and they specifically said they were denying imports on these version 030's because of the rail under the gasblock. The import paperwork was already approved so this group makes it in. After these 200 we won't be able to get this type of version 030 again because the ATF will deny the import permit. I admit I was reading it like he was referring to all of them, and not just this version. It's still messed up.
