  1. While I know there are guys who shoot clays with there S12 I didn't have much success with it either. Maybe the 24" barrel version with a polychoke would be better. But my 19 with the polychoke was not the right tool for the job for me. Let's face it. It is a combat shotgun. Got a 28" O/U with a full set of chokes for a recent birthday and have had much better results on the clays. It is truly surprising how far you need to lead the object you are shooting at. You are shooting more at a point in space the the clay itself. Hoping that your shot cloud and the clay converge were you th
  2. You're rifle looks great T.R. I used the same stock on my .223. Nice Job!!!!!!!
  3. Actually that's not a bad idea. You can hunt it and shoot it. Then clean it and cook it all on the same show! Ted Nugent says "Kill it and grill it"
  4. The wife had an AD a little while back with my S12. She had fired birdshot with no problem. Started her out with one round in five round mag at a time. All was going well so I said lets put some OO buck in her and let her try that. I stood directly behind her and again only one round at a time. She was doing great and having a good time so I said lets fill her up and placed five clays on the berm about twenty feet away. Bang, the first clay disintegrates. Bang the next one goes boom. Bang the third one is toast. At that point the third round ejects and hits her bare forearm. (She shoot
  5. I think we are comparing apples and oranges here. I think Xbox may have been learning impaired. While Boba comes across as an arrogant, didactic, whiner. It's a tough call.
  6. Hi Post, I read about your LEO problem. I hope it works out in your favor. I got my 7.62 from Peach State. I called them and asked if they were dimpled. A real nice lady went and check for me and I placed my order. Had it in a couple days. They are great people to work with.
  7. I thought I was going to do the .223 traditional and this is what it became. I think it was gothchicks post that got me heading in this direction. Whatever, i love the way my .223 came out but still wanted the traditional AK look. Can't seem to help myself.
  8. Did you get the K-Var goodness from their sale? I actually just picked up some plum furniture as well. Im on the fence about k-var plum vs Russian plum... Yeah, I'm a cheap bastard and could not resist. I've been wanting to do a traditional AK for a while. There is something about that plum furniture that I just like.
  9. I can't believe how cool my wife has been about my new "hobby". First the S12 then the .223 and now a dimpled 7.62 X 39 to start on. Yes, that is K'var plum furniture in the foreground. I am still unsure that I have the skills to remove the FSB to add one with bayonet lug and thread the barrel. I would like to add a slant break but we will see. Wish me luck and I will post pics of the progress. I don't know whether to thank you guys or curse you.
  10. My Dad always used to answer Peace and Quite whenever we asked what he wanted for his birthday. The Mrs. got me a beautiful O/U for my last Bday (50th). The older you get the more you should treat yourself. I figure you earned it! Hope you had a good one Shannon.
  11. Looks like an excellent addition for my S12 and am anxiously awaiting its release. I wanted to mod the selector on mine and will do that and add Cobras LRBHO when available. Looks like a nice trout stream in those videos, you might want to put down the shotty and pick up a fly rod.

  13. Nice sketch there Rob. Some practical attachments also!
  14. Damn right. Let's hope the bastard has some seizable assets. This looks like an open and shut case of blatant copyright infringement. Good Luck!
  15. I'll bet that prick took a picture of me at the shore last week. Rip him a new one Drew!
  16. Very nice mod nailbomb. I have a polychoke that I don't even use because of the added length and overall look. If it looked like yours I might reconsider. Again, some sweet machining.
  17. I don't think so Sal. I am waiting to see how many of these sales end up with the repo man. Seems like another scheme to get people to buy things that can't afford in the first place.
  18. Ok I'll bite. !. b. keep both, rationalizing that things are merely evening out for the times the machine cheated you. 2.b. Keep quiet, assuming the scanned price is really correct. c. Keep quiet, and figure the store got what it deserved for being careless with its pricing Either one the end result is the same. 3.a. Correct the teller and give it back. (quietly) I would not want the teller to loose their job. Do I win a cookie?
  19. Just got this one from Greg at CSS. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...15-SAIGA/Detail I have it on my .223 but it seems solid enough for the 12. Has a real nice feel to it.
  20. Rifle ,Shotgun or Pistol. If it makes a loud bang I like it. Enjoy em all WJ
