  1. They are passing so many laws, that no one will be able to live without breaking a law. This is what the Nazi's did. Then they just pick and choose who they want to go after. It's time for every american gun owner to practice civil disobedience. We either hang together, or we hang seperately.
  2. I've shot both in mine with no problems.
  3. The electric drill that Cobra suggest's work's well. But if you don't want to do that, get a tornado brush (google it) it work's great with your favorite solvent/cleaner or whatever. Great job!!
  4. Just do the conversion. I was like you a few months ago. Was not quite sure of myself or the conversion process. I kept watching the video's that show the conversion and then just went for it. Believe me, If I can do it anyone can. Cobra's right, the self satisfaction you get from doing it yourself can't be topped!! and you'll know your weapon inside and out. If you can't find the video's here on this site, just google SAIGA PISTOL GRIP CONVERSION or go to youtube and type in the same. Good luck!! you can do it!!
  5. Where can we find recoil springs and or assemblies. I've been waiting for Tantel to get them in. In the meantime, I thought I would ask the best source of info on Saiga 12's, ie ; all the Saiga dudes. Oh yes, and factory or otherwise hammer springs. ( besides the 25% reduction spring)
  6. You can email Doug at tantel@sbcglobal.net I've bought a couple of spares from him. I tried that email and it comes back undeliverable, does anyone know where to get a complete bolt. If I knew how hard parts were to get I would of thought twice about the saiga 12 or maybe not lol. I tried the email once about a week ago and got a failure notice. Tried it one more time and it went thru.

    Ammo ration

OK, so with all this talk about Walmart, I went to my nearest Wally here in CO north of Denver. Got some #00 and slugs and just to see if there was a limit, I took all 25 boxes on the shelf. No problem, laid down my money and took it home. Now for the real story. I got to know someone at a K mart. K mart is doing away with all ammo. You won't believe what I was paying for some shotgun shells. I got 36 five rnd boxes of #00 winchester super x for 50 cents a box. That's no typo, 50 CENTS A BOX! I was getting 25 rnd boxes of birdshot for $4 a box!! This is all 12 guage. Bought all I could
  9. Yeah, that's the email that worked for me before when I bought from Doug, but i got a failure notice this last time. Guess I'll try it again.
  10. You can put a BHO in. Carolina Shooters Supply has the Tromix. If there is no slot for the lever you'll have to cut one. What I did when my BHO was missing, I held the gun with the left hand on the handguard and put the butt of the stock on the top of my right leg for support then pulled the charging handle back with the thumb of the right hand and used the fingers of the right hand around the gun to steady it. Then grab a mag with the left hand and insert then let the charging handle fly forward to put a round in the chamber and fire when ready. Pretty obvious that one doesn't want to r
  11. Can anyone give me the current email for Doug at Tantal. The one I have doesn't work all of a sudden.
  12. Hey thanks apocalyptic, that has been happening to mine!
  13. No don't have one yet, bought one from saiga-shotguns.com and I've been waiting for a month. Don't know if you can mod it to fit a 410 or not.
  14. Ditto, Greg is the best hands down!!
  15. Any of the advertisers can do the job. Will at Red Jacket is excellent as they all are. I did my own conversion after getting feedback and prompting from all the guys on this forum. Believe me,If I can do it anyone can. I too had never grinded or cut on a firearm before, but with the video's on youtube and help from the Saiga dudes on this forum I did it. Took it out and shot it for the first time after the conversion and it kicks ass!!! Use the Tromix trigger guard and FCG. Also doing it yourself gives you an innate knowledge of this shotgun and it becomes your baby cause you created it
  16. Welcome to the Saiga club. Keep reading and rereading all the threads on this site. You should go ahead and convert your Saiga. I was like you. Intimidated to try to convert, was going to have someone do it for me at extra cost. But the great people on this site told me to do it myself. Why pay more, why have someone else do it for you when you can have the satisfaction of doing it yourself and besides you really get to know the workings of these guns. That is what they told me. Then Sopmod (thanks buddy, you were right!!) sent a link to a conversion video. I watched and decided to do it my
  17. Does anyone who has the new magwell (the first run) have any feedback/reviews for all of us yet? I've read most of the responses on the thread for the magwell, but was wondering if someone might have more. All of you who have it, are you leaving the BHO in your gun. I'm assuming with the magwell that the BHO is just there for whenever you might want to use it, right? As you might guess I'm still learning about these shotguns. But I love em already.
  18. Less things to go wrong with iron sights
  19. Mine is the same also. I plan on getting the Krebs sights as post-apocalyptic suggested.
  20. About a month ago, I was just like you. Just got my S12 and ready to send it to someone to convert it for me. I too put a post here asking for help as to a decision on who to send it to for the work. The great people on this site told me the same thing that they are telling you. Well I checked the gas ports, had three unplugged. I've taken it and shot it to make sure it works, and it works really good! no problems at all. Meantime, I've been watching the conversion video's, 4 or 5 times at least and looking at the internals of the gun. I have all the parts now for conversion. I did not t
  21. Of course! Haven't you heard? Every time you breathe out you're drowning polar bears. Yeah, we exhale carbon dioxide, that will be a carbon tax! Hello to a fellow Coloradian, post-apocalyptic
  22. Just more proof of the tyranny we live under, with alot more coming soon! And yes, I'm sure too much food will be a crime soon also. They're passing so many laws, pretty soon no one will be able to do anything without breaking some law or statute somewhere. How about breathing, if you breath too much we'll have to tax you or arrest you.
  23. jaymce, I don't have a problem...yet. But if I do, which business are you affiliated with here on the forum? So I know who to connect with if I ever have a problem. Thanks
