Same reason people buy AR's and hang every damn thing off of them, except things that will help them shooter better or make the weapon handle better...

Get the BIG sand bag off the barrel. That alone can change the barrel harmonics and add heat to the barrel. Place a sandbag under the front hand guard and rear of the stock and squeeze the rear bag for elevation. You should have the exact same cheek weld every time you are on your rifle. Before you squeeze off your round, exhale and wait for the natural pause. Practice dry firing (with snap caps preferably). Give time in between shots. There are tons of things you can do to improve your shooting and techniques. Last but not least, practice.

I did it, just make sure to bore both exit holes to accept a 30 cal round.

Can't image it would be any different than any other stamped AK hand guard. Remove the heat shield and your good to go.

Anybody have a 14x1 LH tap and die and can borrow to help a buddy out with his Sar1. Any help would be very appreciated.

Are you having cycling problems? Pin's 2 and 3 need to be removed. Use a BFH and hit it hard, I suppose you could use a drill press as a last resort. Never done it.

AZG is correct the two lower pins hold the block on. The upper pin holds your retaining pin and spring for adjustment of your gas system.

Stamped AK receiver, either will work.
