  1. LoL an AK for 1k OMG! id rather add 200-300 and get AR10 or M1a, LoL ,an AK for $1000 omg lol.ive seen them on gunbroker for that every once in a while. just shows ya that some ppl have more money that sense.
  2. our local shop told us ALL reload equipement is going up 10% at the 1st of the year. not sure about supplies
  3. it may be alright if it is already converted but if they get much higher and you want a 7.62 it will be cheaper to get an mak or nhm from the pawn shop, sales will slow down. i'm glad i had gotten mine while they where still cheap. if they arnt converted already and they are 350-400 i wouldnt buy any. $300 is about all i would buy 1 for in 7.62 or .223, why spend that kind of money,by the time you convert it and all, i can get others for cheaper 400-450 at pawn shops for an mak or nhm,and not have to do anything but maybe put a muzzel break on it. greed is going to kill them
  4. if your going to spend money on it the 1st thing i would do is a conversion after that i would move the front sight and put a muzzle break on it.
  5. if you decide to get the .223 i would look at getting a 308 instead price of ammo is about the same if not cheaper it has more bark and more bite over the .223. i try not to get alot of differnt weapons with differnt calibers so i keep it all about the same caliber so keeping ammo doesnt take as much room or get mixed up as bad. i can get 1"grps@100yrd with stock 308 22"useing factory ammo from walmart.but at the end of the day get what makes you happy you cant go wrong with a saiga
  6. i thought the 7.62 x 39 had the same bullet as the 308 7.62x 51 bullet? are they not the same??
  7. i dont think you will ever see any AK style weapon win any matches unless all the weapons are AK style, its not made to shoot extramely accurate (just accurate enough to get the job done) its made to take a licken and keep on ticken a grain of sand isnt going to stop it from fireing. its made for alot of use with low maintance and still be dependable, all at a low cost. to me 1"grp@100yrds is good enough to get the job done alot of weapons have a hard time getting that. thats useing a saiga 308 22" stock only thing add is a 3x9 40mm scope useing fed pwr shok 150gr SP. other than the AR and th
  8. wow what good timeing on the shelves just before we get our income checks lol ouch $550.00 OMG im glad i got my converted one for $300.00 shame they dont have them in 16".
  9. +1, but if you can only have 1,it really depends on what you are buying it for and financing for ammo,if you are going to the range 1x a month or more i can see cost of ammo being a factor but if it is for hunting or SHTF weapon i would go with the 308 MORE POWER oh! oh! oh! the kick is so close to the x39 its not that much differance you can tell there is more power in the 308 but u can easly shoot well over 300rnds in a day with a saiga 308. also if this passes http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewNation.asp?Page...T20071004c.html you need to look at american made ammo and see how much higher it is ca
  10. what makes this worse is the system covered it up and ruled it as justified!! . just more proof we are already a police state, road blocks "papers plz", tasered for anything...ect in my state it takes 11 ppl to go against the word of 1 cop in court. i do believe alot of cops go into law enforcement for all the right reasons to protect and to serve, but then once an officer many change with peerpressure and the system, covering up everything ,then they change once they see fellow officers getting away with things.(the tricks of the trade) they soon get to thinking its US(cops) VS. them(civilia
  11. you need to change your ammo bad, if your only getting 3"grps@100yrds.i get 1"@100yrd with factory ammo fed power shok 150gr SP, with my stock saiga 308. you can hit a man at 400 yrds with a saiga but it may not be between the eyes, for that an AR-10 is what you want for a semi and expect to spend at least $1-2k, but nothing beats a good bolt action for long range snipping. but unless you are going to compete or hunt with it(and all you got is long range shots) i would stay with a weapon that is good around 400yrds or less, but if you want a real sniper weapon 1000+yrds you can plan on spendin
  12. yealp this is a must read even the replies he answers a few questions, i would put a sticky on it.
  13. if im thinking right that is one of these http://www.raacfirearms.com/Saiga_100.htm but i could be wrong if so that is a good deal
  14. You asked for a 'No Gunsmithing' option I believe.... It will cost you $185 for the Ace Folder/PG (2 US) and 12.99 for 1 30 rd. Master Moulder (Thermold) mag (3 US): Bolt them on, Shave some off the bottom of the MM mag rear catch (ask me for details with a pocket knife) : Here's the Result - I love the Folder - I can Fire It all Day Folded Too! Doesn't look as good as Some 'conversions', but I hasten to say, it looks better than alot I've seen.... Takes a screw driver and a pocket knife and about 15 minutes. (NOT for Kalifungus, or NYkrazy) dont you still need to change 1 more thi

  17. i'm far retired from tourney play now,i never used a phantom but when i did/do play against non-tourney players i will/would use my sniper I and let them use their semi's it makes it a little more challangeing for me. i've never seen/heard of any field allowing over 300fps with any paintball gun.back when i played tourney's none of the fields had the blow up bunkers(but i have played on them), they used spools, pallets/plywood, tires...ect for speedball or just woods with no bunkers just trees and brush it was so thick you couldnt see across the field much less shoot across it. and you didnt
  18. just the gas to get there 45 min drive, ours is state funded and its free. its only 25, 50, 100yrds but that good enough
  19. i do have to agree there one good sniper can elimiminate a whole team snippers ? in paintball? i know the 1 video showed a sniper but they really cant be use to any great effect in paintball wish they could be but the range limit kills a sniper. in the video is about the best use of a sniper, to get their attention
  20. i have also and i believe it to be the other way around granted most woodsball players are amatures but if you get a good strong team of woodsballers from the old school its a differnt story.
  21. best part of paintball for trainning purposes is defense you learn how not to get shot or at least increase your chance of not getting shot by trainning in crossfire, cover & concealment,angles,teamwork...ect. you can see what works what doesnt. tournement ball is more of spray and pray not much skill. its not like woodsball.strong communication/team work is the most important skill on the field for any team
