  1. hopefully this link will help with the converting http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=4&f=79&t=68410
  2. Yeah its the troy sling heres the original link http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=146955&page=9
  3. I would love to have an underfolder s12! Cant wait to see the finished pics and vids
  4. Well it's technically a handstop not a vertical foregrip... Dumb laws, not sure how the feds would view that one tho. Thats too bad about the Draco, I've been seriously considering picking one up. If they were that cool about everything and offered to send you a hand picked one it does seem like Classic is definitely the way to go if i do grab one
  5. Don't know if yall have seen this one but its one of my favorites. BTW its not mine, these came from the calguns forum.
  6. WS, Never meant any kind of attack on what you said. Sorry if it came off that way. I have never claimed, and never will, to be the endall source for knowledge on saigas, I was merely trying to see what else would affect the cycling in a conversion besides the gas ports. I was wrong about the gas system being the only thing to affect it, I have no problem admitting that. The point about the G2 trigger group is one I obviously overlooked. Thanks for clearing that up The weld comment is from a thread awhile ago with a really poorly done conversion that was not cycling well. Splat
  7. Chile, That looks absolutely awesome. How has that paint stood up to wear and tear?
  8. Just wondering what reasons you have for thinking a cheap conversion would not cycle ammo that a stock Saiga would? A conversion shouldn't change the gas ports or really affect cycling at all. Save for if its a REALLY bad conversion and has splatter from welds on the rails or something along those lines. And I also understand that some of the higher end conversions go through the gas ports and make sure everything cycles reliably but just comparing stock to converted with no gas system changes. To the OP, I say buy a stock saiga and make sure it reliably cycles everything yo
  9. Looks really good, especially for a California build
  10. Twister puck definitely keeps the gas tube cleaner. In my opinion its for sure worth the 25 bucks
  11. Yep, as long as its for a stamped receiver.
  12. My brother got it a little while ago and loves it. Said recovery wasn't bad at all would definitely do it again. The only thing he doesn't/didn't like about it is that he says his eyes are way more sensitive to if hes dehydrated now, YMMV tho Ill probly have it done at the beginning of next year and am definitely looking forward to it.
  13. Same here. I have no need for another stock but its very cool of you to do this.
  14. Youre gonna have to convert to the original Saiga configuration to use those parts, ie: grind off the original trigger gaurd, get a whole new fire control group etc. etc. Theres alot of info here on what parts you need for a conversion and how to do it if you decide to go that route. If you dont want to do it yourself there are plenty of great shops that sponsor the board that can do it for you. Id start by reading that link I posted and go from there. Heres a parts list of what i used for my conversion for reference if it helps - Tapco g2 single hook FCG - Tapco Intrafuse handgaurd
  15. I'm assuming that your Saiga isn't converted. If so, you will have to do a conversion to fit the regular Ak stock and pistol grip. Heres a link to how to do the CONVERSION . Its really not as hard as it seems, and if you're handy with tools you could easily knock it out in a day. If you bought a converted Saiga though it should be as simple as just a few screws to change those parts outs. EDIT Is this the stock you got? If it is, you will need to do the conversion to fit the new parts.
  16. Glocks are great guns, but ill take my xd... You really cant go wrong with either though. I just liked the way the xd held way more than the Glocks so i went with it. I say find a place that will let you rent one of each for a day and see which you like better.

    Rail

Mississippi Auto Arms is supposed to be coming out with one also LINK . Im pretty sure that the one you posted is UTG, Chinese crap, so youll probly want to stay away from it.
  18. My friend has one of these SCOPE MOUNT on his and seems to like it. And if you put a regular eye relief scope on it you will have to get a new bolt handle.
  19. Completely agree, still doesn't stop me from checking this thread almost every day lol. Can't wait for these to release
  20. Just got back from the range today with the E-Tac Twister Puck (standard). Cant say if it helped cycle the ammo at all, my 3-port with AGPs has always been pretty much flawless. It definitely did help keep the tube cleaner than usual and the puck just slid out without having to soak it for extended amounts of time. Overall I'd say it did its job just as advertised. Not bad for $25 IMO
  21. In the last pic you can see the threads on the inside so im guessing it just screws on like any other muzzle device.
  22. I can definitely see how that is possible. Guess if you're planning on mounting at the very end of the rail this handguard should be avoided. That said, i have had nothing but good experiences with my VFG attached directly over the bolt.
