Where can I get the 4 peice FH at for the Vepr 12? and how does the latch work with the bigger trunion?

Good to know he is getting more. I don't live that far away from him either I live in the northern panhandle of WV but I work in Washington PA

My choice is the Vepr-12 but if you wait another week or two you will not have to make a decision because the Veprs will be gone they only got 1000 in country and alot of people will not do pre-buys so once they hit MAA, Tac-47 and Atantic Firearms I bet in a weeks time they are sold out.JMO

It only took a few months for me to see this so it is not that much of a necro thread. The grip as far as I have been told is a tactical grip for the Saiga-12 and is made by the factory. from what I have learned on guns.ru it came on the military/SWAT S-12's. I would assume it is factory because the lines on it look and match perfectly with the factory 8rd mag and the railed forearm. From the look of your pic the pin will drive straight out with a hammer and punch just dont go caveman with the hammer it shouldnt be that tight then it should just unscrew

I maybe wrong but I would knock the pin out and see if you can unscrew it. From the looks of the bottom pic your barrel is threaded and the muzzle nut is pinned on. JMO. Also welcome to the forum and remember you came here willingly because there is no cure for the sickness you now have "The Russian Saiga/Vepr flu" you can only manage the symptoms by buying a new Saiga or Vepr every 2 to 12 months this will surpress the flu like symptoms. Yeah 1400 is up there. I didn't even read between the pics and missed that it should of been fine with that. I would thke the gastube off and make sure there is nothing blocking the ports and try it again this time try some buckshot maybe the it is that ammo I personally have never had any problem using remington 15 pellet 00 buck in any of my saigas. Before drilling I would order a low power recoil spring as my first attempt to fix it. Try the hi power loads first. If it cycles then you know it is the gas ports The problem then is if you open it up to run the low power loads when you run the hi power loads it will be over gassed and cause excess wear on your gun. If you gun runs fine on hi power then that is all i would run thru it that is the down side to that style gasblock.

As of today I have a GK-01 ordered and I already have 8 factory 8rd mags for the Vepr-12 and a metal magwell as for a rear stock I will just go with a AR style non-folder for now untill Vepr stocks and trunions are available or if that does not happen maybe a SVDS style saiga stock if it is possible I am unsure if the front latch will work with the bigger front trunion. Hell I am just happy they are coming in.

In you add you said that you will have extra russian mags also available will they be 5rd'ers or 8rd'ers?

They were rejected for some reason by a german goverment and then imported by RAA to the US the German import mark was where the RAA usually is and is only 1 word that can be filled and removed as it has no meaning in the US and the RAA mark is underneath between the magwell and handguar

If you want a shooter the S&W preformance center .45ACP revolver is VERY nice. But it I was celebrating a big personal acheivement I would look around for a 1911 or a revolver that is engraved and you could show off in a display case.

This will work with ALL saiga shotguns. It will not work with you saigas factory rear sight you will also have to buy the HK rear sight and have it welded on the topcover. So the set up will look like this.

Take my advice get her a .410. I bought my wife a 20 ga I had 4 factory 8rd mags and 2 factory 10rd mags and 12 5rd'ers I paid $150 for each factory 8 & 10 rd'ers and when she shot it she said " It feels just like the other gun (S-12) and kicks to hard" so sold everything off and got her a S-.410 and she loves it plus 10rd factory mag for the 410 are around $70 and they make a 30rd drum for it.
