  1. Krebs ghost rings are nice and you can install them yourself but the HK sights are also nice but can not be installed by the normal person the plus to the HK is that you can get the rear sight mounted to the topcover with a pic rail installed also for a optic.
  2. My local dealer is out of his basment he is a Class 3 dealer and has 20+ dealer samples and and sell to 75% of the PD's in a 50 mile radius of where he lives he only sells 5 guns a week on average plus transfers but it is his retirement job and it supports his gun habit he has been in business for 19 years and has never had any problems.
  3. There was a story a few years ago when the mexican goverment first started blaming all the full auto in their country on the USA and they were wanting to sue Colt, DPMS, and a few others and the US companys wanted the serial numbers to see if they were factory full-auto's or backyard conversions of civilians AR-15's the took a few hundred guns as a sample and traced the serial numbers and they all came back to firearms sold to the US goverment then exported to the mexican military. Big surprise there!!! they also found out the cartels were buying them off of corupt mexican military officals wh
  4. Thats not new they have always been around it was the luck of the draw on witch one you got. It depended on weather they used a commerical barrel made for export or left over barrels from a military contract. Now check out the front of the barrel you may get lucky and have threads under the FSB. Good luck.
  5. "I had to take it over and chuck it up in a friend's mill to cut clearance for the bolt carrier. Now I am full of joy and damn near have this shotgun exactly how I want it." FOR NOW............ You know instead of changing the gun everytime your taste changed you should of saved up and just bought a new gun to convert to your new taste a little costly but you would of had one hell of a saiga collection by now.
  6. Well if you are that bored I could send you one of my guns to do the AK-100 mod to. You would get to do some tinkering and make some money at the same time.
  7. I remember what you are talking about and it was a homemade deal. you could buy a small section of P rail and make it. As for enough room for a grip I do not know.
  8. The best idea would be a setup like the new US palm take down gun. its a rifle but the idea is sound there is no reason you could not go from a 16"Ak47 to a 12" AK105 to a 22" RPK47. look at there trunion setup on youtube I think it is awsome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y83fjaMXXUM
  9. The SAR 's were imported by CIA "Century" and are a good gun for the money I have 2 SAR-2's (5.45) and they are great I paid $300 each, pre-Obummer but $550 is fair now a days. Right after the 08 election they went for $750 to $1000 range glad they are coming back down. The best things about these guns is CIA imported them and didn't touch them that is why everything is straight and working good.
  10. Yep the puck once you shoot it some it will get carboned up and you will not here it anymore.
  11. 15 months ago there was on with the folder on GB for $2500 it sat for 4 months before someone bought it. Then 3 weeks ago there was a complete parts kit w/ the ribbed mag on GB it sold for $3,600. I about shit my pants. So they can be found. The more you post the more I realize we have the same taste.
  12. Kings armory was going to make barrels for the S-12 both smooth bore and rifled slug barrels but they never did. Tony made 2 rifled S-12 so it can be had but at a high price at this time.
  13. Nope it is a over travel limiter I never saw one on a rifle but I guess from time to time it happens, damn drunkin russians.
  14. Does this look like it. if this is it read this http://forum.saiga-1...__1#entry718936
  15. There you go I forgot to add the factory mag. So thats $25 w/ cleaning kit and oil bottle and the muzzle nut and furniture is $20 and sell your broke carrier to sunny for a few bucks and for around $50 plus alot of labor ( but you cant count that because it is a labor of love). Also this is a little more work BUT if you wanted to keep you gun a numbers matching gun buy the new S-12 use all your aftermarket stuff on the new gun when converting it , Then sell whats left over works out the same and you have a numbers matching gun.
  16. Is it stock or converted??? Pics would help but I bet it is a over travel limiter out of a S-12 Cobra uses them to make SRT's (short reset triggers) I have never seen one in a rifle only in shotguns but it should work.
  17. Yea there is a sticky on the S-12 snb forum on how to knoch the BHO and bend the spring. When it happened to me I had to DRIVE out both axis pins breaking my retaining plate to get the BCG to come forward enough so I could take the top cover off I didn't get as lucky as you.
  18. Why is it not together???? O thats right your not snowed in like every other winter in NY. LOL
  19. You can find a carrier you just have to look a while but they show up a few a year and run around $275 for both bolt and carrier in the last year 3 have been sold on this site that I know of, a complete Parts kit S-12 for $450 on gunbroker and one BCG on ar15.com. Now if you dont want to wait you could buy a new S-12 and part it out to fix your gun and sell the rest of the part to get most of your money back. you would have no problem selling the parts. reciever w/ trunions $150 barrel $75 gas block $60 bolt $75 (i want this) topcover $35 ( and this) total in sold parts $395 New S-12

    AGP FITTING

Be careful with the clear mags I have 6 but only use one for shooting the others I keep tucked away after 150 rounds you will start to get fouling dust stuck to the inside and it starts to fog up the clear mags on mine it is imbeded and will not was out I tried soap and water with no luck and if I use a solvent it will fog the mag futher. I keep one in the wifes gun with the pink shells cause it looks cool but save the rest for "If I have to use them"
  21. Post them on here. What do you got??? when you sell on one of the auction site you must ship to a FFL NEVER to a personal address. Make sure you state that their dealer must accept guns from a privite seller with a copy of you driver lic. or if you have to have your dealer ship it to their dealer it will cost extra. ALWAYS get a signed copy of the FFL lic. form the dealer you are shipping to and ONLY ship to the address on that lic. You can use the ATF EZcheck website to verify that the lic is current and not been tampered with. If anything seem shady do not ship the gun. Make sure all moneyor
  22. G O B you are correct bugging out will be a death sentence for alot of people. My bugging out is a little different I will be leaving my house and crossing the main road to a dirt road right across from my driveway and 1 mile at the end of that dirtroad is my parents house on our 150ac farm thats as far as I am going.
  23. I hate to rain on your parade and this is JMO but it is better to have a team rather than just you wife and kids watching your back. In my network of friends all who live within 15 miles of each other and all are prepping so when SHTF and we meet at our rally point with our familes. Now just asking who has a better chance a single family household trying to protect and scavange for themselves or a team of well trained and prepared familes who with in 4 hours of SHTF will have our familes at a secure location under our protection then we can send out teams to scavange and "borrow" what we don'
  24. Is the gun NEW or did you buy it used??? where is the carrier cracked??? Pics??? If you bought it new take it back to the dealer and let them deal with it. If you bought it used OR have shot it for some time and then the carrier cracked I don't think they will do much for you. Not sure. But I think RAAC stopped importing Saiga shotguns and imports the Akdal's now either way the ONLY way to get a spare carrier is from someone parting out a gun no spares are avaiable from the dealer or factory at this time. I am sorry for being the one to give you this bad news but is t does not look good at thi
  25. Not a bad gun, I got two SAR 2's and I love them I got mine for $300 each before Obummer got in and for the money they are great guns.
