  1. No pin needed. That hole is there to blow carbon and junk out of your gas block.
  2. All work needed to be done can be done with a hacksaw blade and some files. Even easier if you have a dremel.
  3. One screw is to hold the top leg of the spring and to space it off the receiver. The second longer screw only comes with the deluxe kit and its so you can thread it into the BHO after its installed and allows you to push down on it to release the bolt and push up on it to manually lock the bolt back. Closing on a mag insertion is suppose to only happen if you tune it to work that way. I personally dont want mine working that way.
  4. The new gas block is pretty much done. I put ribs on the back end of it that will center my Titan rail. Im also going to make a front barrel band with ribs. It should allow me to pull off the rail and keep zero. I havent decided to blast and paint it or polish it up and let it show through the rail. Ive also moved the block back about 3.5 inches for when I SBS it. I will be putting a light inside the rail in front of the gas block. Im starting out with three gas ports at .073 but Ive got room for 4. Im hoping Im close with the 19" barrel. Oh, Ive also made a new tube for the piston
  5. I have a friend who has it and he says it works great. Locks up nice.
  6. Its only bolted on to take some pics with my bad phone camera ). Im right in the middle of making a new gas block and light mount for it. I think Cameron has changed the type of finish he puts on these new rails. My extended quad rail has a textured matte finish where this one has an almost semi gloss smooth finish. It might be that this first batch got rushed a bit to get them out the door. I think that some of the machine work got done after they were finished as there are many little scratches and dings. I was debating sending it back but I think I will just paint it when I paint th
  7. Did Cameron mention what kind of time frame for the new rail? I just got a Titan for my S12 and would love one for my Draco. I dont want to wait two years for it though ).
  8. Is the gas block even hard chromed? I thought it was just the barrel?

    gun shield

I thought that plate was to keep the zombie brains from spattering on you when clearing out the mall?
  10. I believe the R&R Targets magwell does.
  11. Been shooting since I was in diapers. Never had a shotgun, never thought I would want one. Maybe a pump way down the road after I had everything else I wanted first. Saw the S12 on Deadliest Warrior which peaked my interest enough to do a web search and the rest is history. This site had alot to do with it.
  12. Its hard to see how you could mod the current drums with a new follower. Its round now so that it will go around the corner like the shells do. Maybe if you had two followers stacked that would still go around the corner.
  13. Damn, I hope the MD double stacks dont have to go through a redesign before they are even released.

    keltec ksg

Seems premature to post links as to its failures when it isnt even released yet. Ive also seen threads where Kel Tec has stated that there will be several changes/additions to the gun before its released. The trigger issue was one of them. All in all I think it is a great concept and should do really well. I may even point my dad in that direction as he has been looking for a home defense shotgun but didnt want to go with a S12.
  15. Mine was canted so far that when I straightened it I had to redrill a new port and weld up the one that got covered up. I redrilled the pin holes but but because of the old ones my block would shift back to its old position after several hundred rounds. Eventually I put a set screw in the block and that stopped it.
  16. She bartered for that trip so no cash exchanged hands. She probably would have come down on the price to make the sale anyway, she did great. Not to mention covering daddy's butt on the .50 in just a couple of days. That took some hustling. Im betting she deserves allot more "bonuses" than she gets anyway ) Retail on an SBS, converted Saiga 12? $2000 Retail on a ColtAR153A? $1200 Custom mount and Red Jacket warranty? Priceless Check your math again. And they dont sell at cost, either. That was for 2 rifles that were SBSed and had silencers. Gunsmiths a
  17. Anything can be made at home. It just depends on your skills and or tools you have available.
  18. Sounds like you had already made up your mind before you even watched it. I thought the S12 was the wrong choice for a master key but I think the show is pretty sweet. Name any other show out there that caters to a crowd like this one. Try to enjoy the other episodes that you will deny watching ).
  19. Yeah, I loved the Saiga but I really questioned it as a choice for a masterkey. You only need a couple rounds for one and there are several shotguns half that size and weight.
  20. I ordered a few days ago and got an Email that says I should see it the end of Feb. If that helps.
  21. So you can run the S&B ammo in a Promag 20 round drum? Thats always kinda erked me about my MD20.

    Uh Oh...

What about the Xrail? Pretty much any tube fed shotgun can be high capacity. Or is it because ours uses a magazine? Hmm, street sweepers didnt use either but they got the axe. I guess its just because it looks nasty?
  23. That is the problem. The gas block is what the Chaos rail bolts to. If you move it you would either need to machine a new slot and drill a new hole in the rail OR make a new "barrel band" with the mounting bolt hole in to go where the gas block used to be. Im going with the second option. Its not that they couldnt do it......
