  1. Mine came saturday, but I had to work so there was no chance to test it out. Clicked right into my S-12 with no fitting. Looks and feels great! Mike, you have really outdone yourself on this outstanding product. Patience really paid off in a BIG way! nyclu3
  2. Sorry Cobra, I just now found this reply thread! I have since changed it up since then. But thank you for your kind words. I modified the trigger group to eliminate the trigger slap and welded HK sights. pics are on another comp. nyclu3
  3. Cobra, Great looking batch of habaneros! I'll have to get some this season coz i'm finally running out of my first batch from you. nyclu3
  4. If you are handy with the tools then Dinzag is the way to go. He has quality stuff and is very knowledgable from firsthand experience. Cobra is also a good source for info. If you want quality woodwork then BattleRifleG3 is the man with wood for you. I speak from experience with all of them. Good luck and congratulations on your aquisition. nyclu3
  5. Well People, I went to the gunshow yesterday morning and found fewer tables and less people browsing. There were a few unconverted .223, .308, 7.62x39, and a couple of .410 Saigas. There were also quite a few converted .223 and 7.62x39 Saigas that looked like they were converted from the factory. They ALL were going for around $425 to $499. If I had the money I would have picked up one of them but I was really there for some Glock parts and a sight for one of my ARs. No S-20 or S-12s to speak of and no AK parts kits or flats. At least I found a couple of Glock 36 mag extensions. T
  6. TH, Very nice job on the jig and rig to drill the handguard out! Looks like a 1 1/8 hole saw... nyclu3
  7. Will, Be sure to have your vest on when you go on patrol. Be careful and get them before they get you! nyclu3
  8. Damn, that mortgage payment! I coulda been a contender Once I pay off my truck, then I'll have more money for toys! nyclu3
  9. Best birthday wishes to you both! I'll have a beer for each of you. Have a good one. nyclu3
  10. The man was one of the great guys with whom everyone could relate to because he used material that was common to most everyone. I'll miss his style of comedy. Rest in peace, Mr. Carlin. nyclu3

    AA-12

Any info on the availability of the round they use on the different shells they use with this weapon? http://www.defensereview.com/modules.php?n...cle&sid=741 How cool would it be to have these!!! nyclu3
  13. Very nice job there. I wish I had a TIG welder in addition to my MIG. I would try to fabricate some S_20 and S-12 magazines. I tried to do it with a 30rd HK mag for the s-20 but the curve wasn't in the mag and I couldn't get the follower to stay straight. But your pics make me want to try again! My hat's off to you for your success! nyclu3
  14. mob, I would get rid of the mossberg pump before the s-12 and the MAC too. The S-12s are hard to come by and you might regret selling it. Just my .02 . Nice collection you have there. I noticed the Garand too, don't get rid of that. nyclu3
  15. G-ray, For a parts gun that you assembled yourself, and shooting the way it does, it's a nice piece of work. I did the same thing but with a full size kit and a Winchester receiver. The colors you chose were a matter of personal preference but the quality does look good. Forgive the quality of the shots... Everyone should have at least one Garand. Mine shoots within the 9 ring at 100 yds open sights. That's just me putting the black in the sight picture, I can't see at 100 yds except for a black dot! nyclu3
  16. Awesome job on ALL the work you've done on the rifle! Lots of love and care went into the transformation of this work of art. I wish I could afford to get an S-.308 but with the cost of gas shooting upwards of 4.15 here in the Hudson Valley, my second in command has curtailed my defense budget to accomodate the new landscaping she wants installed around the house Keep up the good work! Are you planning on a matching S-12 to match? nyclu3
  17. Boy, just not a good year to be a construction worker in the city ! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080530/ap_on_.../crane_collapse What is the solution, shutting down all the hi-rise jobs??? Just another day in the city... nyc Local Union #3 IBEW nyclu3
  18. Damn these high gas prices!!! Let's see, gas for the truck to drive to work or Saiga Ver21 .308??? Damn, damn, damn!!! Great looking specimens, Judge! Good luck selling those. nyclu3
  19. Thanks for the info. I'm glad I have a 7-2 AK to AR ratio available to me in the safes. But good to know on the shot placement. What do you think of the 6.8SPC ammo? I've been thinking of getting a 20" 6.8 SPC upper from Model 1 sales with a 25rd mag. Any thoughts other than availability of ammo? nyclu3
  20. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080529/ap_on_...y_chief_bullets Just an interesting article about the ammo used by our forces around the world. nyclu3
  21. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally saw a good deal in a timely manner and got my order in!!! I love this place! Thanks for the info Mr. Juggs! nyclu3
  22. WOW! To think that he survived the initial impact is a miracle in itself, judging from the car's appearance. My thoughts and prayers for a full recovery. nyclu3
  23. Maybe magazine not seated all the way or weak mag spring, try different mag. Or if you have a buffer, take it out. Just a few ideas. nyclu3
  24. At least you have it NOW in hand. Don't worry about the shoulda, coulda, woulda. Must be nice to have that kind of money in this economy. only two weeks worth of gas for two vehicles. nyclu3
  25. The last words in this article are words that every american needs to hear in this context. The public at large in NYC is in this position and look what happens to them. Criminals think twice about victimizing a person when they know they are armed but they think nothing of those they know are not armed. May we ALL remember this when we vote this time around. My union wants me to vote a certain way because of my livelihood but where would that be if I had no way to protect the life I have and those I love? The only gun battles we hear about in the city are the ones between the crimin
