My upper came in today. This thing is nice. The mags are on the way so I can't fire the thing just yet. Came with an extra piston for US made ammo and handloads, piston already installed is for imported steel cased ammo. Pics coming soon.

I'm betting it does but they're like a virgin who hasn't even looked at hardcore porn and don't know what the hell they're doing. I've seen the AMD, the foreward cant toward the muzzle is there for a reason.
-
i actually use it as a guide for inserting 30s and 40s and it works pretty well, foreward cant isnt very confortable and you cant put your hand on the metal handguard because im sure it gets hot as hell, i can barely hold my vz58 handguards after a few mags
-
That's what I do with the vert grip on my S12. You WANT the bottom of the mag to tap the grip. It has actually sped up my mag changes instead of slowing it down.
-
Freakin righteousness. My ASC mags came in today. They all drop free, all lock in. Can't wait to take pics, this thing already looks great. Waiting on the rear sight, then it's time to zero it.

Wow, sounds like the bill for my .460 Magnum. Asswipes always buy up the cheap stuff and then it's ages till you ever see any of it again.
-
$85 for a box of 20 is for the "cheap" hornady, dont even think about barnes, and federal is absolutely nuts at like $160 a box
-
Yeah that's crazy...
-
I got my TWS rear sight but problem is, it's real loose.

well, if someone was giving out free guns and i had a choice betweek a saiga and a $120,000 h&h 577 nitro express, i'd take the h&h, you know i love detached retinas anyway
-
lol Yeah you're one of those exotic magnum cartridge freaks Can't say I blame you but for those I'd just say pass the bolt actions.
-
i actually looked into having my ruger no1 converted to 577 nitro, it will cost like $2000, still the cheapest 577 out there
-
Bought a Henry AR-7 today. I think I'm prolly gonna like this thing.

It's on my list. Sweet buy shadowfire!
-
Thanks. Found a way to open the magwell up on it, screw on the left side of the receiver. I also noticed it helps the bolt move easier too. Can't wait to shoot it.
-
let us know how you like it. Happy shooting

Yay, sights are on the way.

Yeah that's a big fat never on my end. I am really blessed to have the collection I have.
-
yea, i just got a few new .22s so i could affford to shoot more, once i get my 1911 i'll probably get a .22 conversion for it
-
Yeah I bought me and my old man that 22/45 He and I could both shoot more. Now that I know how to reassemble it I'm thinking about getting another one for myself.
-
Good day today. Shot the S12.

Airsoft doesn't count lol
-
thanks, just spoil my fun, i can still pretend they're real.
-
lol The toys help you at least with self defense practice. Live targets are more challenging than paper.
-
So my machine shop instructor wants me to know by memory what the digital conversion is for every nominal standard inch fraction on the whole damn chart. Is he nuts? Why? I've seen a Garand print from 1943 and not a fraction one on it. It's fucking stupid. Saying he might test us and only give one day to study... Smiling saying to the other instructor, "All you gotta do is put a little pressure on them." I don't do well with the cattle prod tactic, you prod I get st...

This was only twice. lol
-
it is so you will stop thinking in fractions and think in thousandths. Wait until they want you to memorize the number and letter drill chart to size. You will thank him later in life I promise. Memorize it and go on. It cannot hurt anything other than wasted brain cells.
-
lol Well tape, like I said, I'm reasonable. CSS made the point so I'm moving on. I don't think in fractions. I think in digits (thousandths and tenths.). It's weird but my brain works that way. He doesn't like that we rattle off the digits like math class (Where did he think it came from?). Which I was already trying to get used to saying thousandths and tenths till he pushed my big red button.

I am graduating college tomorrow as an honor student with their top machining diploma. Damn I've worked so hard for two years for this...

Congraduations!

Thanks Ronin.

Went to a Glock forum in search of some answers. I got the answer but I accidently managed to question the "Perfection" without meaning to. Damn they're touchy. lol

lol I believe ya eeek. Pauly, the one I went to wasn't pink but might as well be. lol Mullet, I'm not really brand loyal myself, I just buy what I like. The most of what I have of one type is three 1911s but they are all from different companies.
-
I love Glocks. But to be honest, I'm not very impressed with some of the Gen4 line up and the numerous end-user complaints on reliability. If they ever did have "perfection", they sure decided to fuck with it for no apparent reason.
-
Yeah the "perfection" bit has gone overboard. I like mine, I really do. Never thought I'd like any Glock but I haven't had any major issues with it (Gen 4 Glock 27) and I shoot quite well with it. Shooting quite well with one made me want one. I shoot just as well with it as I do my XD-40 and my 1911s. However, it is still Not my preferred carry pistol. It's hard to step away from a 1911 after you shoot a well made one. They're just awesome to me. The accuracy,...

That sucks man.

It's also a great excuse to get out of doing shit you don't want to do.

lol I haven't found a way to do that yet to my advantage but I'll remember that.

Anyone know what the average diameter of the 7.62x39 yugo fmj rounds are? .310, .311 or .312?

One of these. Didn't order mine from them but it's basically the same. http://www.midwesthuntersoutlet.com/item/499638_NC_Star_Optical_AcceSSories_NCS_OFFSET_MOUNT_1.aspx?&w=pq+jdyolrqe=

-
take the bus, and you better get off your ass and get those parts, ill sleep in your garage and help you build it and store it in my safe for you

The only safe it's gonna get stored in is mine and I don't feel like traveling that far. lol Sorry

You gotta click "More" to get to Chat now but other than that, I like the new set up.

Well you prolly need to straighten that one out with beef.

forum would not let me pm him or post a mesage on his page, so i pmd makc and he didn't reply so i took that as meaning fuck off, haha

lol That is probably a wise assumption. lol
-
Weeee! Good stuff. My M53 parts kit came in today with the extra goodies I ordered. I've not had a chance to look at the condition of the barrel yet, lots of cosmoline to clean out.

Yes I am. I'm going to gather my information so that I can build one nice and legal. Then sock a hand crank to it.
-
i believe i'll start walking to your house now, i'll bring my own sleeping bag but please keep plenty of liquor handy
-
lol I'll do my best but try to keep the drinking down. That way I can afford more ammo.

Nice I kinna wish I had a M11 9mm pistol. From what I hear the brand new ones made now are actually pretty decent.
-
funny you say that, when i was picking up the sterling and fal, i put one on layaway, not really good for much practical, but practicality is not why i buy my guns
-
lol Indeed, I would want one just because they make great bullet hoses. lol But I've heard that if you actually take the time to use the sights they're decently accurate just don't expect it to be as accurate as an XD or Glock.

Happy Birthday to me.

Hey, leastwise the most important guy acknowledged you right off the bat.
HBD, BTW.

Thanks man. Nah I didn't put in my birthday info. I get a lot of automated "Happy Birthday" emails as it is and most seem to email them like a whole day ahead. But it's all good.

Finally shot my new Henry AR-7 today. I don't see what people complain about. I hit what I was aiming at and it cycled flawless. It likes my bulk .22 LR ammo. That suits me just fine.

Yeah you really got me looking. What yardage were you shooting at?
-
I don't really know I'm not that good at distance judging. It was more of a reliability test anyway.
-
The wife bought me one about 3 years ago, it goes bang everytime, and has not had any problems. Nice little gun
-
Does anybody know where I can get those white front iron sights for the AK? The ones you screw in and adjust like the factory ones?

Also they are plastic. It doesnt cause any kind of issue. Just thought i would give you a heads up so you werent expecting metal.

lol... Last time I played video games, the rumble-packs on the Nintendo-64 were the new big thing because they vibrated when shooting people in 007.
-
I pretty much do it to kill time. Helps me not be so bored. I don't play nearly as much as I used to.
-
mine updated in like 2 minutes yesterday.
-
Well got my handguards soaking in Black Cherry kool-aid. It stained over night but not to my liking. Leaving it in for some more time. Going for the dark red look.

Rit-dye and denatured alcohol dude.
-
yea, rit die, don't use it with water based polyurethane though....
-
I'll keep that in mind. Maybe I should take a picture of it afterward with the kool-aid. It would do the trick for a lighter red look. I have something to work with now though so that's good. Gonna have to flame treat the upper HG though. That should do the trick and make the grain look better too.
-
I got a Rossi .45-70 lever action, big loop, brass bead on the sight, full length tube. 6+1 capacity, pics to come when I have the time and proper lighting (Rainy here lately).

lol The pic will go in my gallery, I'm not offended if a thread about it doesn't go well. Everyone has their likes and dislikes. I wasn't really into a lever myself till I played Fallout New Vegas, I got to liking it, just seemed right.
-
Hmm very jelly, nice pickup
-
Thanks, (Thanks to Jugs also. I'm sure I will as well.) They had it in the store for a while, the price was different than the one I remember so they may have sold that one too, the price was still a good price though so I bought it.
