  1. Best Wishes to you both, I know how hard that situation can be for both people involved.
  2. Sorry to hear about all that, I hope your Mother is doing okay now.
  3. Is she in to more traditional archery, or all the modern equipment? I've known people involved with each. She might like to check out Kyudo, the Japanese form of archery. Also look in to a thumb ring for the release. I also had a friend involved with Yabusame- Japanese mounted archery. That was pretty interesting stuff!
  4. I've enjoyed a few series productions, and some movies, but don't really watch Netflix all that much. I'll ignore their productions just like many others on Netflix I have not watched. No big deal. (I split the cost of it with my buddy, anyway. )
  5. I bought their plain model for my Winchester Model 12, and it fits well. It is a different profile in the "pistol grip" part than the original, less curve to it, but it works fine for what I wanted. Good wood used for it.
  6. If the profit margin is at all related to the price of that junk, they won't even consider dropping it.
  7. Godspeed, Gunny. He will be missed. I enjoyed his several TV series, too. OOH-RAH! Tribute to Gunny:
  8. The USS Juneau was recently found as well. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/retropolis/wp/2018/03/20/five-sullivan-brothers-serving-together-were-killed-during-world-war-ii-their-ship-was-just-found/?utm_term=.594e5d4d61e1
  9. Yep! I always enjoyed the markings on the cars at the beginning of the first movie, how the build-up of the cars increased with their markings from "Patrol" to "Pursuit" to "INTERCEPTOR!"
  10. They are a popular "inexpensive" gun, and seem to be good. I've heard a few complaints about them, especially the long trigger pull. SCCY does seem to have a good warranty behind them, too. I haven't used either one yet, but I like the feel and features of the Taurus PT-111 G2 better. Two more rounds in a much nicer grip, and I prefer to have an external safety on a carry gun, too.
  11. I'll be at work. Selling firearms. We've been crazy busy for the last two weeks, more so with tax-return money being spent than due the news stories. We're very low on stock now.
  12. First Age Discrimination Lawsuit filed in Oregon against Walmart and Dicks! 20-yr.-old man tried to buy a long gun from each place and was refused due to his age. Hopefully this one sticks right out of the gate and stops this nonsense now. (Not holding my breath...)
  13. I understand that private companies should be allowed to run their businesses as they see fit (mostly), but banning LEGAL gun sales to persons under the age of 21 sounds to me like a Federal Offense and Age Discrimination. I'm kind of hoping for the first federal lawsuit to be filed over this. What's next... raise the Selective Service age to 21? HA, that ain't gonna happen.
  14. Yeah, didn't they stop selling "EBR's" after Shandy Crook? What is "new" about this story? *EBR = Evil Black Rifle
  15. When I was growing up you weren't "properly dressed" if you didn't have a pocket knife on you.
  16. "Have you ever pointed a gun at someone?" "Well, not yet...You should leave now..."
  17. Yeah, a friend of mine is 20 yrs. old, has served in the military and is well-trained on using an M4 Carbine, grenade launcher, and a "Ma Deuce" .50 BMG machine gun. But he's not allowed to sell guns at a gun store because he's not over 21... ?
  18. ^ That would be a great series for Netflix! I could also see the History Channel doing something like this too.
  19. A good "comparison" statistic, if not actually "pro-gun." "Every day, almost 29 people in the United States die in alcohol-impaired vehicle crashes—that's one person every 50 minutes in 2016. Drunk-driving fatalities have fallen by a third in the last three decades; however, drunk-driving crashes claim more than 10,000 lives per year. In 2010, the most recent year for which cost data is available, these deaths and damages contributed to a cost of $44B per year." https://www.nhtsa.gov/risky-driving/drunk-driving And yet... they haven't banned cars.
