  1. Since he seemed to have his heart set on 9mm (not my first choice) I was trying to steer him to the best. In the nightstand to my left is a 45. In the nightstand to my right is another 45. 4 more in the safe. I guess that makes you the preacher and me the choir.
  2. I was going to say exactly this. But now I don't have to.
  3. You've got a winner there.
  4. Well since you asked... Completely useless ammo waster. When I first learned about bumping I thought it sounded dumb but I tried it out. After a couple of mags I got it. I was right. It was dumb. But it's your ammo and your rifle so ain't none of my business.
  5. At least you can drive your commie-mobile down to the local commie movie house. http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/21/business/china-amc-wanda-theater/index.html?section=money_technology
  6. You've been spending time on gloktok, haven't you? I will correct your "misunderstanding" of the XD for the sake of those that might believe you. The XD is indeed Croatian. It is built by HS Produkt. It was originally imported by an American subsidiary company called HS Arms as the HS2000. It did not "rot on the shelves" but in fact flew off the shelves. I have a Generation 1 HS2000 that I wouldn't sell for any sane amount of money. The pistol built such a great reputation in such a short time that Springfield stepped up and made a deal for the import rights. Considering th
  7. From that list, HK. From all available 9mms, XD.
  8. Thanks for the vid. Alot of us are from the "Oh yeah? Show me!" school when it comes to accessories. Especially those that will turn our guns into paperweights if they fail.
  9. Yep, can't beat a TRS 25 if you only want to spend $100. I just wish they didn't look like a BSA. If you can afford $169 you can get a Vortex Strikefire. A very serious scope for under $200. Get the red dot only version. The dot is brighter and the green dot is a gimmick anyway.
  10. Dont worry about a patent. The basic concept is public domain. Making it work on a different caliber doesnt count as a new idea. Nobody's doing it so tbe market is yours if you want.
  11. It does look like very thin material. I'd feel better if the webbing was thicker.
  12. Guess you'd have to duct tape the sight to the side of the stock since there is no pocket for it. lol
  13. Ok, you stand in a room with 10K rounds cooking off That was actually directed at the heroic fireman who pledges to watch your house burn from a safe distance if there is ammo in it. I suppose I should have made that clear. But to answer your point: This may seem a bit obvious to some, but I wouldn't stand in a room that's on fire, whether there was ammo in it or not. But I wouldn't hesitate to stand next to full ammo cans in a fire. Assuming the ammo cans were full of regular ammo and not hand grenades... Now you're just being a dick. I said it would be silly to op
  14. If you're looking for local in the Valley, azexpertarms builds some damn nice krinks. I might try to talk you out of the 5.45 though. The 7.62 is more effective from a krink barrel. And their Drako based krink is surprisingly affordable. I've shied away from nfa stuff because I don't like having to ask the nanny's permission to own a gun, but these are tempting me...
  15. thanks for your servic but, what the fuck did you do over there? toughen up sally. OK that made me laugh. So shall it ever be. If you want to play on the gun boards you gotta have some sand. I'm waiting for a few reports from trusted members before I decide: junk or not I do like the look of it, and it certainly will be handy.
  16. The one good thing about IO is that they make Century look good.
  17. Mr Shelby was a great car builder, I aint here to talk about what is better, we could go on and on with that. Oh please. You felt the need to point out you are a bow tie man. And when I answer you (in a very friendly manner, note the smiley) you say you ain't here to talk about brands. I'm sure Carol enjoyed the brand vs brand discussion as much as any other car guy.
  18. Yeah that's so much more silly than building a concrete bunker out of a freezer...
  19. A true American Original. The world is less interesting without him in it. And to you bowtie boys, it was Fords that Carol took to LeMans and beat the Prancing Ponies. Has a Chevy ever taken the overall win at LeMans?
  20. Funny thing is I almost did break my back rapelling. I misjudged the distance and braked too late. I thumped the ground pretty hard. Another half second would have been a medical retirement.
  21. As pointed out the container doesnt have to be bulletproof. I use ammo cans. Theyre called ammo cans for a reason.
