Hell yeah, have fun doing your conversion just watch your parts count, romy thumbhole stock doesn't count towards compliance, you will have to make up with FCG, and handguard, or gas piston. Post some pics when ya got it done .

I went with this scope mount myself seems to work fine i switch it between my 410 and my 7.62x39 with my cheap BSA red dot scope.

Go to your states goverment website theyshould have some info on laws and limits of firearms. Make sure you familiarize yourself with 922 compliance if you plan to change from its original sporter configuration. The forums search engine is a good resouce to use to find things with.

My boredom started another handguard project this time with my 7.62x39 the vents are a little BIG imo but oh well first time trying.

where does the E store ship from? I know MJS Global is in Norcross Georgia only about 20 minutes from where i live if thats something i can pick up locally.

I'm looking for a charging handle for my tec 9 pre ban. Saw one style of replacements at a gun show but can't find the maker or any for sale online. Instead of the round knob it was curved AK style so you could just hook your finger and pull back. Let me know if you have some one of this style. If not i guess i will settle for an original style. ( hurt like hell when it broke off and hit me in the forehead)

on my 7.62x39 i went through 3 drill bits. On my .410 when i got to that part i took a torch and heated (anealled) the spot weld then drilled through it wjile it was still hot

This looks like and old topic but i didn't want to start a new thread about it. MY tapco saiga galil handguard on my .410 was a little hard to use the sights with that cover on and was horrible looking with it off just too much empty space along the sides of the gas tube. my solution was cut along the level of the top of the retainer then use my cut pieces to fill fill the inside by plastic welding the 2 together then sanding smooth. Nothing to special but might ive someone else some ideas if they want to change their handguard a little.

Izhmash does make larger cap mags for the rifle just that in its "sporter config" 10 rounds max cap. Drop you imported parts count by conversion or replacing FCG, Gas piston, furniture with USA made. Read the thread about 922 compliance.

Got 3 of those mags coming. Now time for the frankenmag project. Frankenmag project went nice got a 9 round mag out of 2 4 rounders. Now just have to sand smooth, fires good.

Nice, I like that stock. So does the stock make the gun front-heavy at all? Not to bad with the front grip i have on there plus i have the 21.5" barrel alot better the my tapco folder which i threw on my x39 untill i get a Tromix or and Ace for it
