Koi910 6
Finally grew some ballz and decided to convert my saiga 7.62. I absolutely have no gunsmithing skills, no tools, no garage to do the job. I picked up all of the tools at walmart and the kit from CSS. I say that it was fairly easy but drilling out the trigger guard plate was no easy task those rivets and welds were extremely hard to get through a 3/16 drill bit did nothing i used a slightly larger masonry bit. Anyway take a look. ThankS to every1 on the forums for the Do It Yourself Attitude answering any questions i had u guys gave me the courage to go thru with it.

tchick 52
I just picked up a converted Saiga from Classic Arms. I went through this entire photo thread getting ideas of what to do with it. Lots of great looking conversions and custom stocks, paint jobs, etc. Thanks for all the great ideas. Tram 11
Just added vent slots to the original forearm. I'm really diggin' this look lately. Nice. Clean. Just looks good. Only thing I'm thinking about adding is a TWS cover and a RDS.

m1lk 26
did a 104-style conversion to my SGL21. bulgy fsb/gb, bulgy rsb (had to replace it because the original was bent like shit and crooked), added pistol grip reinforcement plate. extended brake by chris butler / ak-usa. sandblasted, and refinished with duplicolor low and semi gloss, then baked for a little over an hour (forgot todo the gas tube though). just need a 100 series stock and 500m rear sight leaf, then refinish, and thats it, but right now im happy with it

m1lk 26
what tool do you use to adjust for windage? i tried using my crapco tool, and though it barely held on straight, it did move it a little after tightening and hitting the handle with a rock. but it left marks on my sight, and then the threads stripped on the tool. ugh

jbizzy 0
I paid about 250 for the FCG and furniture. I suggest carolinashooterssupply.com. Pretty easy to do.

mogunner 240
Here's my brand new one, recorded for posterity as it won't look like this for long! I have the Carolina Shooters Tapco conversion kit sitting here under the desk, a box full of 30 round AK mags just arrived from AIM surplus, the Tapco handguard and gas piston should be here around Monday, the Barska scope and mount are here as well. We go out on Saturday for initial breakin to make sure she's fully functional before making any changes.

wtjosaas 72
Just completed the conversion. I got the wood from MarkW1 and refinished it myself. Handguard retatiner from Dinzag. Bullet guide, pistol grip nut and bolt, Tapco G2 trigger and trigger guard from Carolina Shooters. Gas tube from K-Var. 20 round mags from What a Country. Guess i like to spread the business around!
