firedawg 0
went to the gun show in atlanta today. couldn't believe what some of these guys are asking for this stuff. cheapest 12 i found was 699 +TX standard stock converted ones were 799 and up +TX oh yeah this one dud had surefire 12 rnd mags for $100 hopefully nobody took him up on the offer. very few people were willing to deal either. my cousin picked up a sks paratrooper in pretty good shape. couldn't believe what the sks were priced at either. wish i would have bought the whole crate years ago when i bought mine. couldn't find any 7.62x39 ammo either. guess the panic buying is still in full swing. dtromblee 0
Dude the friggen prices at the gun shows are a joke. A lot of these guys are smoking ass. I understand the desire to make money but come on. These guys are raping people. I went to the guns show here in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and about shit my pants. I understand there is a lot of panic buying and then theres the whole supply and demand thing also but really!!!!!!! I was looking at a new Stoeger 40 s&w cougar at the gun show. The cheapest I found it for was $580. I told the dude he was smoken crack, I then went down to discount firearms the next day and bought it brand new for $349. We have a big gun show going on this weekend and I decided not to even attend. It is sad to see that there are so many blood suckers out there. Whats even worse is the fact that there are actually people paying these prices. DT
MRboost 0
You guys should come look at California. Converted Saiga 12's are selling at the gun shows for over 1500.

jahwarrior1423 0
shows here in Arizona arent even worth the trip.
johnt 0
At the gun show I went to yesterday, the "typical" price was $599. Saw one place selling for $575. Even saw one with a bolt on pistol grip conversion for $699. There were also the typical price gougers there, but the dealers with more reasonable prices had plenty of inventory. ynotaz 0
That's right about shows in AZ, but I needed some parts and figuired ammo shipping would offset the cost of the show! I saw the same things standard Saiga 12s went from $599 to $699. I only saw one conversion, it was a nice job but it was $1,
Wakal 10
It is sad. I sold a bunch of AR receivers...forged lowers were going for $299-$399 from the few folks who had 'em. Mine were $130 and move rather quickly I'd much rather sell a bunch at a fair price and and make a few bucks then sell one or two and a make a huge profit. I, however, seem to be in the minority. TR Young 175
I was at a show yesterday and saw standard imported '109s for $599. I was surprised that they weren't trying to sell them for upwards of $800. There were only 2 converted '109s there, and they were both $1200.
22_Shooter 1,560
I was at a show yesterday and saw standard imported '109s for $599. Damn, thems is current internet prices. Kinda surprising to see that at a gun show.

twistedpsyche 0
We had a show here in NH and I was surprised to see several Saiga's (usually I don't see any). They were selling for 580 - 600. A couple guys had them for more, but I just laughed at them and kept walking. I would love to pick up a couple more, but I just can't afford it. Fallschirmjager 0
Some prices are also affected by the area of the country you are in. Around here the stock S12 is going for 500 and up. I remember seeing them for nearly half of that. It isn't just some price gouging dealers, but also the market forces of supply and demand. The 20ga saigas are a bit cheaper because the S12's popularity. Also you have to factor in the cost of manufacturing and materials costs are up globally and the US dollar is devalued from a couple years ago. I don't see the prices falling much, if any because of outside market forces. The panic buying is going to go unabated for awhile. I only seeing it ceasing under two circumstances: 1. The importation of firearms being shut off by an EO or some such and the supply of imported firearms drys up after their prices go astronomical and then they become unavailable. 2. The current administration, including Congress, states that gun ownership is an individual right with no limitations. And that will not happen. Even if the US Supreme Court said it is an individual right, the "reasonable restrictions" the Socialists push will be applied in some fashion: that is in their nature. I hate to seem pessimistic but I am just realistic in how the politicians want to control what The People own and do. I've been collecting for over 30 years and every time a gun law is passed, like other laws, it never gets repealed. The 94 AWB was a fluke and it took a hell of a lot of arm twisting and brow beating the politicians to get the sunset clause put into the bill. And even with that the AWB changed the market forces for 10 years. After the sun setting in '04 the prices, because of inflation and devaluation of the US dollar, didn't go back down to the '94 level. Even in the last year of the ban a bunch of congress critters tried to make it permanent, and we missed having that happen by a cat's whisker. It is going to get worse and may not get better. "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush". And yes, I hope I'm wrong.
jdeitch 32
I went to that gun show... Unlike the previous gun show two weeks ago, this guns show was VERY large and PACKED with vendors and buyers. There were several good deals to be had as well. I saw several booths with surefire mags for $60 as example. Not everyone is price gouging. PS 'DTrom' I picked up that item you wanted from the show for you... I just need to add my 300% markup to cover the admission fee now! Dude the friggen prices at the gun shows are a joke. A lot of these guys are smoking ass. Trent 0
I was at the expo center one, and was really surprised at how decent it was, I guess I'm too used to Eastman shows, the cheapest saiga 12 mags I saw were 70 for the 12 rounders, although I did find some pretty good deals on 12 gauge buck shot and hkg3 mags. evildog 20
Went to the local gun show in Cedar Rapids Iowa today and can you say "PACKED"............Had to stand in line to get in and was the most crowded that i've seen it in 10 years of going. Saiga 12's were anywhere from $519 to $650 and used saiga 20 for $350. No converted saigas of any caliber. Saiga 308 was $800, no i didn't buy but every other 4th person seemed to be carrying out either a firearm or ammo or both. It was crazy but great to see. I scored two Promag 10rd saiga 12 mags for $30 each. Almost fell over when i seen them for that price.
elvis christ 451
I can no longer pay $5-$7 to have my intelligence insulted. I won't be going to anymore gunshows until this shit gets under control.
corbin 621
It seems to be pretty much the same everywhere. My buddy (whose never owned a gun in his life) went with me and saw how one or two people had S12s for around $600, but a few tables away, they were around $1,000 FOR UNCONVERTED ONES! He ended up buying one through this forum that a member had for $599.00 (I pointed it out to him). Hasn't fired it yet. I'm not sure if he'll have it coverted or what. I think he wanted an investment. I imagine prices will go up in the next year or so, especially if the AWB comes back. Corbin
