Cobra 76 two 2,677
I can't figure anything out for myself so I'm gonna be trendy and start a poll on the S-12 forums. What's better to wear to the range? White or Black T shirts? White socks or black socks? Boots or tennis shoes? ...or what about flip flops? Socks with flip flops or no? Yes? But what color? Black or white? No? But what about all that nasty stuff that gets all up between your toes if you don't have socks? What if I get a hot casing drop down and land on my feetses? gtnichols 51
Black shirt because you may get grease grime or dirt on it White socks, because they are more comfortable Boots, just because I like em, + if you have to walk through tall grass and such You also might need Cargo pants/shorts and good hat
kresk 10,063
White shirt in hot weather, opposite when it's cool. Socks? No matter. What about the color of your ear protectors?
Nailbomb 10,221
Black shirts due to stain resistance. White socks. The extra dye in the black arn't good for your feet, thats why you'll see health socks sold in a military PX/BX. When i wore black socks in 29 palms my feet smelled terrible. Thats when i started getting the health socks, immidiate change for the better. Do your feet a favor and stick with the white, and if you gotta have black for tacticool... http://www.uscav.com/milmall/productinfo.a...4&TabID=548 And finaly boots for overall durability. Twinsen 86
I have a bunch of blue and dark grey shirts that I wear in all situations. I also wear just cargo pants in all situations. And I wear driving shoes because they say on the box they make my car faster.
BronCobraJet 80
Black socks are a tool of satan. I'm really surprised they still sell them. I'm glad black shirts don't screw my body up like black socks screw my feet up. I even wear white socks with a 3 piece suit. To hell with fashonistas.
shades_of_grey 1,092
Black socks are a tool of satan. I'm really surprised they still sell them. I'm glad black shirts don't screw my body up like black socks screw my feet up. I even wear white socks with a 3 piece suit. To hell with fashonistas. Y'know, I hadn't ever really made the connection till you and Nailbomb mentioned it, but when I think about it, yeah, black socks have been the worst for the health/condition of my feet. White athletic socks = gtg in any situation. Black wool socks, (mil issue), black "dress" socks, black socks period = sweatier, lintier, (don't know if that's a word), and overall worse feeling feet. Grey socks work ok, but only if they're cotton. As for the OP's question... black T-shirt, (covers stains and looks better), white athletic socks, (underarmor makes some great ones), and a good pair o boots. rastamanila 313
Every day I wear the black cotton drawstring cargo pants I designed 23 years ago with white tube stocks and 8" Rocky Outdoor waterproof Thinsulate steel toe boots. To the range it's always black T-shirts with a light cotton scarf to keep the searing heat of the tropical sun off my neck. If i'm running around town or going to work I wear cotton batik/Hawaiian shirts.
mollysman420 19
If I wear a white shirt it looks cammo by the end of the day, white socks foot health and I dont own any flipflops or tennies!!
22_Shooter 1,560
White shirt. White socks. Boots. Plaid boxers. Because tighty-whiteys are for little kids or old men. The only time I wear "flip-flops" is at the beach. Well I do have a pair of plain Adidas "mandals" (yes, that's mandals!) for walking around the house. I have some sort of mental disorder that prohibits me from walking around in just socks or bare foot, while in the house.

Cobra 76 two 2,677
LOL! Actually I started this thread as a joke... I was just poking fun at all the recent threads where people are starting to make polls about everything under the sun... Can't anyone think for themselves, or make up their own minds about things, just based on the tons and tons of info available here? It's like there's this new breed of Saiga forumites who will not dare take a chance on anything...or part with their precious money on a Saiga accessory unless they can look at a vote and count how many people prefer it over others. Jeez people! I don't need any help dressin myself but the opinions listed are appreciated. For me it's usually a lighter colored shirt in hot weather, black tees in the winter and fall. I do share the same affliction as most men however....if I wear a white shirt to do anything other than sit perfectly still (without a beverage....especially not an ale) in an air conditioned room...shit will jump all over me PRONTO! It's funny though how I always seem to get motivated to work on something dirty if I happen to be wearing a white or light colored shirt. Thank God I've got a girl who loves me and is good at removing these seemingly unavoidable stains... Since my shooting range is just a short golf cart ride down the hill, I wear whatever shoes I happen to have on at the time...usually my Vans or DCs. If it's wet or muddy I'll take my trusty Rocky gortex boots. Mandals...lol...I like that one! Yeah they are the best around the house and even down to the range when it's hot out. I NEVER repeat NEVER...lol...where black socks anywhere except an occasional formal outing with loafers. I hate dark socks and will opt for navy blue knit socks if the need arises to 'dress up'. Most of the time I will try to get away with white tube socks with light colored dress pants or my black drawstring cargo pants...I think they are called Bugle Boys. aresv 49
Black for t-shirts! How many heavy metal bands sell WHITE t-shirts? I'll give you a hint: none. This proves the superiority of black t-shirts, hands down. Flip flops....no, dey stay rubbah slippers!

Gotta stain, lay it flat on washer. I'll wish it away to the cornfield. Only stain I can't get rid of is from a Colocasia (Elephant Ear). Don't know what's in it but it's permanent. And yes, if he wears a white shirt, he'll end up doing the dirtiest job out there. If he wears a black shirt, he'll end up standing in the sun on a 95 degree day. Go figure. One of the advantages of being a woman. I wear colors. Matter of fact, today is Friday and I always wear red on Fridays.

Red, in any size shape or form is cool for Fridays. I have a red and white striped spaghetti strap tank on. Although I used to only wear solid red. I will add that RED Jacket doesn't count but the red in shorts does. Gotta show support for troops.

Jpanzer 1,265
White or light color shirt in the summer. Last two times at the range it was 98 degrees one day and 95 the other. BronCobraJet 80
All real studs wear black socks, just check out any old porno! Thats just scary AND sad, because I remember those flicks, too! Back in high school I had a football coach that was just screwing with me. I was the only guy in town with a super 8 projector. (I mowed lawns to make the money to buy it) He was telling me the film He had was scrimmage for the first few minutes to make it look legit, then the wildest porno crap you could ever imagine! He then locked it up in his locker in his office. (cage netting or whatver you call it to seperate from the players/students lockers. Of course as soon as he left, we "broke in" and got that Super8 and a few beers and went to my parents house to watch it when my folks were't home. Nothing but football scrimmage! HAH! I was ticked off then, but it is funny as hell now. Nothing could ever remotely happen like that nowadays. The "real" flicks back then DID have guys in thier black socks, though! Thanks for bringing back the old memories Azrial! LOL.

vbrtrmn 167
I FUCKING LOVE POLLS, I GO BACK TO 2003 AND ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS I CAN!!! What's better to wear to the range? White or Black T shirts? White wife beater, not a tank top, a wife beater, I buy them in bulk packages of 50! White socks or black socks? I've been wearing the same socks since 1996, the only thing that's left of them is some of the elastic, I use them as leg warmers now. Boots or tennis shoes? ...or what about flip flops? Bare feet, so everyone can see my fungus! Socks with flip flops or no? Flip flops are too white trash for me. Yes? But what color? Black or white? See above. No? But what about all that nasty stuff that gets all up between your toes if you don't have socks? The dirt protects my feets! What if I get a hot casing drop down and land on my feetses? I love it when the shells land on my warts, burns them right off!

Weird - I wear black athletic socks every day to work, and have zero problems. I work in a warehouse, and the black socks just do a better job of hiding the dirt. I picked up the habit when I was spending every weekend working on cars, and my white socks were always getting grease and grime on them. For the other clothes, dark shirt to hide dirt. No flip-flops - closed-toe shoes or boots only. But that's just me...
