I miss jumping in the spring-fed creek to wash off the dust and sweat after hauling hay all day in the summer. I think every generation has its annoying ad characters. I could have died a happy man without seeing Speedy the Alka-Seltzer. I kind of miss having real life friends. The locals around here act like we are all a nusiance even though this place would be a poor shithole without the Military being here. If the Military went away from this area, lots of people would be unemployed, businesses would not be able to tread water, etc. The homeless fuckers here think Military personnel owe them something. Not everywhere, but Dallas has a ban on smoking in bars, passed around 2009/10. The local honky tonk country bars in my area I believe still allow it, but a lot of places are starting to tighten up on where to smoke in their establishments. Some people think that whites should stick with whites, and blacks should stick with blacks, etc, etc. 50 years ago, everyone thought this way, but nowadays, if you don't endorse the latest trendy taboo breaking, you're backward, prejudiced, bigoted, or whatever word the progressives can come up with to smear those who don't like their latest thing. Mark my words, relationships with farm animals are next. I find it hypocritical in the extreme that people DEMAND that others accept their beliefs while totally trampling on the beliefs held by those other people.
