I got one of the newer ones..at least what was new about 5 years ago.Very light weight and something just to mess around with,never had problems with the factory mags but the after market hi cap in the pic is junk,never could get it to feed right.

Aim Surplus has the same deal also i believe...damn good deal,especialy right now with all the shortages and price hikes.

Heres a pic of my Ohio Rapid Fire built Fal Carbine with a Trilux scope,it ranks in the top 3 best guns i own.I also have a Century built on a Imbel reciever with a Burris 4x12 scope.

Should have used the other part of the stencil so only the skull would be seen,skull would have been white...no overspray.

Did you have to make any adjustments to your gas ports after reducing from 22" to 18 1/4"? Does it cycle well after the reduction? Cycles fine,never did open the ports.I shoot 00 buck primarily and Fed Walmart birdshot exclusively .I do highly recommend the bolt rework/polishing thats described here on the forums tech section.

I cut my older S12s 22" barrel down to 18 1/4" with no problems,its a 3 holer.I have reworked/polished the bolt and chamber opening,ect.

Careful,some of those rail materials can be pot metal (or equivalent),they certainly will get the job done but the quality may be lacking.

Could be because the tooling costs take longer to recoop,how many S12 quad rails are sold as to AR platforms....1000 to 1 ??

Flitz or Semi Chrome are good for polishing those parts,a Dremil with a soft cloth head or wheel attachment works great.

Same here,my older S-12 needs that extra revolution to function correctly.When screwed tight it just barely engages the tab and wont cycle correctly.

Not to much or you will overgas,lots of variables..how short a barrel you going/or are you just having cycling problems?

Cobra here on the forum is working on a LRBHO (Last round bolt hold open) part to fit the Saiga.I have a older LRBHO that was made from Jeric at Warfield (?) Armory,last i heard he wasnt able to be contacted so im not sure if hes still making them or not.They involved slightly cutting a notch in the mag and epoxying a small tab on the mags follower.Mine works fairly well but its not 100% reliable,without trying to explain in detail,the one metal dohicky slips off the other metal dohicky and ill have to take off the dust cover and slip it back on,doesnt do it often ,maybe every 30 large mag

I bought a 12rd mag from a well known dealer when they first started shipping,they sent out hundreds in just a couple days so it wasnt realy there fault,but when i received the mag it had no spring /follower or floor plate...just the mag body, still sealed in the plastic bag. Dealer contacted Surefire and they wanted to see it for themselves,good thing i noticed before i opened the bag as im not sure how it would have been handled.In the end surefire sent me a complete mag and paid my return shipping,took about a week to get back.

Get them at Carolina Shooters Supply,better price.Just make sure that Surefire but the innards (spring,follower and baseplate) in the mag body And Greg,Surefire did send me another mag that had all the pieces
