  1. Sorry about the issues that you are experiencing. I hope that it gets worked out in the end for you.
  2. Tony, I'm jealous as usual. Very nice looking conversion you have built to go with all of the others.
  3. 690, While I have all sorts of boots to choose from depending on what I may be doing, I almost always go back to either my Danners or my Bates boots. Both are extremely high quality and well made. The Danner do require a little bit of breaking in and are a little more expensive. The Bates are good to go right out of the box and cost about $75 less. I wear both on duty and while shooting, hunting, etc and they are very comfortable. Both will last nearly a lifetime and can have the soles replaced as you wear them out. Danners approx. $225 Bates approx. $150. Either way, you can't go
  4. Racegal, I am very sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers your way to you and your family. Will, That was an awesome story. You may not have created it, but you can take credit for posting it here.
  5. I agree with Nalioth, Hoopster and Azrial on their statements. A deadly force situation is a deadly force situation whether using any type of firearm or a plastic spork. The ammo in which you are refering would be considered commercially manufactured.
  6. Dammit Cobra, I needed that stock..Figures, I don't check in for one shift and look what happens
  7. Edited to play nice......Take a look at the kid in the background on the second photo.. Seriously though, to each there own I guess. Still wondering why he posted this in the rifle conversion area when it was already posted in the shotgun section??????????????
  8. If you are going to go with a Glock, I would choose the 23. Still holds 13+1, which should be all that you will need. There are very few instances when a magazine change is required during a fight, outside of actual combat. As far a recoil is concerned, my wife (5'06" and 125 pounds) carries the 23 on duty as a detective and actually shoots it better than her issued 22. I still don't understand why you can only carry FMJ, as over penetration or richochet issues will be present with either caliber. Just my thoughts, but I don't think that you will go wrong with either.
  9. Bron, I would also go with the smaller one. You could either lightly sand to fit or change out the screws to make them a little longer if needed for extra clamping force. I think that you may run into a problem with the larger one as you may not be able to get it tight enough to stay put. Just my thoughts.
  10. Vultite, Thanks for the heads up on the issues. I"ll keep on eye on those problem areas and post back if anything starts to go stupid. As far as the price gouging goes, I think that it is absolutely screwed up for someone to do this type of thing, but I'm not surprised at the same time. Reminds me of the oil companies.
  11. TTR, Thanks for the picture. I just downloaded the picture as the new screen saver on one of my fellow officers laptops. He is going to freak!!!!
  12. Jpanzer, You might want to check out Peachstate Guns on this forum if you are interested in a great deal on an AK74. I just picked one up from them yesterday and the quality was very good. I had a chance to shoot it today and everything worked great. I previously owned a Tantal and could not get comfortable with the wire stock, but some people like them. I can't tell you about the Interarms version that you are looking at, but I can tell you to stay away from the Century Arms Tantal version. The one that I had from them was key holing more than 75% of the shots at 25 yards and would
  13. If you are looking for a gun that is easy to work on and can be made into almost any configuration, then I would go with the Ruger 10/22. I know that I love mine and it has never missed a beat. If you are looking for just a fun gun to play with, then you might consider this one. I just picked up one the other day and have been having a ball with it. GSG-5
  14. Indy, Sounds like you have been very busy lately, but it also sounds very fun. And yes, pics of the man cave please. Congrats on the new room BTW.
  15. Well, I don't drink coffee, but I will get mid evil on a box of Krispy Kremes..Sunnybean is definately on a ROOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
  16. Will, I can tell you that nobody in my patrol area cares what I think, that's for sure!!! That gun has got to be somewhere close to 16 or more pounds. I'm sweating just thinking about hauling it around. But once again, if that is what he likes then more power and muscles to him.
  17. Just traded in my 06 F150 for a new vehicle and removed the power programmer before the trade-in (works on 04-07 F150). The programmer has two settings for regular or premium gas, transmission settings, axle ratio changes, tire size changes, top speed, shift points, reads DTC's, etc. Works great and in nearly new condition. Purchased one year ago and can be downloaded in about ten minutes. Does not void that factory warranty. Definately increases power, torque and fuel mileage. Asking $200 shipped or best offer. I can post pics if needed or interested.
  18. Cadiz Gun Works..(Forum business member) might be able to help you out as well.
  19. Superhawk, As for your post on THR.... Xbox, Congrats on getting it done...Now on to the range report???? Just remember to give credit where credit is due. There were a LOT of people that offered you their time and assistance in your endeavor on this forum.
  20. Well that was a first...First time I've ever had chocolate milk squirt out of both nostrils at the same time I would seriously not want to run an obstacle course or any other course for that matter with all of the weight, but if that is your style, then do as you wish.
  21. And now I will probably have nightmares about lions and crocs. Definately not within my realm of taste, but to each their own I guess.
  22. Cobra, That's not you in the picture is it?? I was getting ready to ask where the rest of the chicken was with those legs.. All kidding aside, that is one serious looking piece of modern metal. Love the look and it definately reminds me of a 1919. Nice job and keep them coming. Appreciate every new part that is brought to the market from you and everyone else. And if you ever want to get rid of that bug, just let me know.
  23. AHHH CRAP....You mean to tell me that we didn't find the golden nugget of all comic books. Figures that she would buy some that weren't worth much I really thank you guys for the info. Not trying to sell them, but just trying to figure out what they are. Sounds like my 1980's Pez collection is worth a lot more than these..Guess that I will still have to keep working until retirement. I've been able to find the Deathmate comics online, but still have not found anything on the Mike Grell comic. Thanks again for all fo the help
  24. Comic book fans, I need your help with any information that you can provide. My wife was cleaning out our storage room and going through her old stuff. When she opened up a box, she found three brand new comics, still in the plastic and never opened. The wifey stated that she remembers buying them about 20 years ago, but does not remember why she bought them or anything about them. As stated before, they are all still new in the plastic and never opened. She has two copies of the comic Deathmate and the cover only states Prologue and then SEP. The other one is from Mike Grell and is
